This litter is the texture of sand, is great value for money and does a great job clumping and masking smells. It can be dusty at first when pouring it into the litter tray. The bags are heavy and because of this I prefer to buy two smaller size bags instead of the cheaper, larger bag. It does track but I have found it tracks no more than other brands of litter that I have tried. Waiting for the urine/clumps to dry before scooping it out gives the best clumping and scooping results. Also if there is not enough litter in the tray the urine/litter can form a clump that sticks to the bottom of the litter tray. This is the only litter I buy now and I think its much better than some more expensive kitty litters that I have purchased in the past.

This used to be such good value, only two months ago it was $14.95 for a 14kg bag, then went up to $16.95 last month, and now over $21 a bag! Inflation has well and truely hit this product. It's such a good clumping litter and the exact same product in the bag to other ones I'd used from Pet Barn paying $25 (now $30+). I really hope prices come down again on this. The sand tracking is frustrating but it's better than standing on crystals! If you clean it out every day it really does stay pretty odour free.5 stars for product but 3 stars for the price hike!

Good for outdoor litter
8 November 2022

I am torn if I like this or not. It's very fine. So the tracking is really bad. I feel like I'm walking at the beach with all the sand around the apartment, even if I have pet mats on every litter box. My air purifiers also work extra hard everytime the cats uses the litter. I have also been vacuuming daily now, or twice daily.Good thing about it is it clamps really well. No smell too.I think for indoor cats, living in an apartment, it's not good since the space is small. It is a good product. But just maybe not for my apartment.

Great Cat litter !
18 July 2022

The best cat litter I've ever bought!!It lasts longer than regular clumping litter because it is finer. it's just like sand.It also doesn't leave those horrible muddy marks on the side of the litter box or scoop like some clumping litters do.Easy to clean and soft on paws.Even kittens have fun playing with the sand ?? haha. Highly recommend!!

Great Product, Clumps; But Not Tightly
26 October 2021

I bought this product looking for something that did the job well with little effort from me, as I am disabled & find all the mess & cleaning for 2 cats almost impossible now. I gave this a try & while it does clump it's very loose! Being aware of this after the first few uses, you adapt your scooping skills to suit this minor problem because other than that, it is great litter! It's very soft on the girls paws, it does do the job very well & I find the tracking is confined to the laundry! If I had tracking mats I dare say tracking would be confined to the mat?! I have 2 very boisterous indoor cats, they both use the same tray & they love to pee so they've always gone through 10ltr bags of litter within a week, I ordered 5 bags of this brand, it was due for its 5wk ... MoreI bought this product looking for something that did the job well with little effort from me, as I am disabled & find all the mess & cleaning for 2 cats almost impossible now. So that speaks volumes to me! they love this litter & it does cut down on a lot of mess & continual cleaning for me, which is what I was looking for! So I'm extremely happy with this litter & would recommend it highly, as long as you don't expect tight clumping & allow for loose clumps when you scoop, it should work just as well for other cats too.

My Cat Likes it
6 September 2021

As a cat owner, I have tried different types of litter over the years. I decided to change again as my cat began doing her #2 next to her litter tray instead of in it after the first time using clean/replaced litter. This behaviour was odd and I felt replacing litter every day with new litter wasn't sustainable for me. I changed my strategy. I went in search of new litter, one that was sand-like, that clumped so each day I could remove her soils in hopes this would make her happy. I also added an extra litter box in the bathtub. 1 in the laundry, 1 in the bathroom bathtub. I have now been using this for a month. Every morning, I remove the soiled parts. She hasn't once gone outside her tray. She uses both litter trays. She spends less time in them scratching around ... MoreAs a cat owner, I have tried different types of litter over the years. I do find that there are some small amounts of sand outside her tray from her paws or from her scratching around. If that is all the trade-off is for a cat that's happy, then I'm ok with that.

The best I've found so far
21 September 2022

I've been a Catsan clumping cat litter buyer for years, finding it the best for my multi-cat home in terms of odour control and how long it lasts. When it became out of stock everywhere recently I trialled a range of clumping litters, and nothing compared until I tried this - and I think this is actually better. As another review mentioned, it is so fine it's almost like sand, which makes the clumps so firm you leave virtually nothing behind, and it's easy to shake off any extra picked up. This means there is no odour, a pack lasts a long time, and the fine particles don't get trapped as easily in paws. The final test will be to see if it forms a clay slurry if it mixes with shower water (don't ask me how, ask the cats), but so far so good.

The best litter on the market
29 August 2022

I have 4 cats so use a LOT of litter. This brand is more like sand than gravel. Very clumpy so I can get pretty much all of the urine out in one scoop which equals no odour even after a week. Doesn't make so much noise so I am not woken up in the middle of the night, easily vacuumed up if there is spillage out of the boxes and kinder on the feet.

Works well
20 March 2023

The bags are heavy, however the litter works really well and waste is very low because it sticks and clumps. You only scoop up the least amount necessary. Odour control is good.My cats like it because it's so soft on their tippy toes. Essentially like sand. There is some spillage as they leave the box but it's not a big deal .... yet. I think this bag will last a good while, I'll be interested to see how much longer it lasts than the paper litter I used before. Pretty happy with this.
