Food has always been a struggle with my cats. I spent over a year breaking them out of an intense kibble addiction from the shelter and finding 30-50% of their wet food uneaten in the bowl was still common. I had them on a rotation of different high-protein/moderate-fat wet foods, all of which they seemed to like, but nothing could compete with kibble. Until now. I bought this raw food as an experiment, thinking that it would take just as much fighting as wet food, but that we could eventually transition. I've spent a lot of time being angry at the fact that they were only fed kibble before I had them (they never even had wet food as kittens). Finding this food and seeing the reaction from them made me feel like there's finally light at the end of the tunnel. I'm so glad we tried out this food, and I'm excited order more of both this and the other flavors!

Last year, 2023, I stopped feeding my kitty Feline Natural Grain-Free Freeze-Dried Cat after finding and unacceptably large and sharp piece of bone that nearly punctured my hand. I reported the issue to Chewy and Feline Natural (Natural Pet Food Company). I complied with Feline Natural's request for photos, measurements and samples of the bone (and maybe teeth). Now, a year later, I purchased three varieties of the food and large, sharp chunks of bone permeate the bag. Every pellet is full of bone. The problem is not resolved.

I ordered this thinking it was wet packets. Initially I was disappointed by my mistake, but now have found it's the perfect "extra". With the warm weather, my cats aren't as interested in their food. With this you can stimulate their appetite by feeding them some then adding a few more on top of their food and off they go! Or at least that's what happened with my two boys. One is picky the other will eat anything. It's also a great filler for when a portion just isn't enough because they ate less with the heat over the last few days and are begging for more. Too many treats, not so good, but this is like a healthy alternative extra for when they just want a bit more. So it's great as a topper or extra.
My cat won't even try licking it, he's so put off by it. Have soaked it in warm water, some bone broth, the gravy from his usual tinned food - nada. Won't even touch it as a topper, refuses to eat the food under it, even his usual biscuits. I think it may be the odd foam-y texture it comes in, as he happily eats the freeze dried food I sometimes get from a local company, and that has a more meat-y texture. Giving it two stars because I know it's fundamentally a very good product quality-wise - but also, I did just waste almost $50 lol.
My 15 year old cat loves this. I love seeing her happy tail waving when she is eating it. She even eats the crumbly powdery bits. I tried adding water to it but she wasn't impressed. She likes it dry, even the last crumbs from the bottom of the bag.I like that it's such a good quality product, and my cat's fur has never looked so good. It's soft and shiny since she's been eating this. It's worth every cent, though I wish I could have afforded it when she was younger. Poor kitty had to eat far too much cheap supermarket cat food, and never liked it much. I sometimes tried to get her to eat other healthier foods, but she didn't like them. So glad I found Feline Natural.
My cat had been losing weight as my Veterinarian had me remove hard kibbles from his diet as it was full of empty calories and he was having difficulty keeping them down. Because of his resulting weight loss, I was looking for a healthy high protein food with higher calories. I have had to give away more cat food as my feline is a very picky eater. Thank goodness he absolutely loves this food. You have to add warm water and make kind of a gruel but it is worth it as he super enjoys it and his weight is back to normal! The only downside is that it is so expensive so it ends up costing A LOT to feed him.
I recently put in a review that I found chunks of bone in this cat food. I reached out the actual company, and they informed that the bones are raw and completely fine and healthy for cats to consume and that they're not any bigger than 5mm, which is easy for them to eat and digest.I also did some research online and found the same information, even saw a video of a cat eating a raw chicken wing. It's when you cook the bones, that's bad for animals to digest, it can cause them to split and get lodged in places.I will continue to feed my cats this food, they absolutely love it and the ingredients are the best I've found in any sort of cat food. I've been feeding them this food for years and never had a problem with their digestive.
