My 20 month old kitty has eaten only dry food. He would occasionally drink too much water, then eat some dry food and throw it up undigested. We did research and decided to give him canned food in the morning thru lunch and some kibble the rest of the day. This has worked. Wanted to feed him the best food and this product is it. Took several days for him to be interested, but he loves it. The can last about a week. I cut into separate servings and freeze. Take out two days at a time. We changed his kibble to Reveal (chicken). Again best pure kibble. All is good.

I started using feline natural during Covid. I also use Ziwi but I was having problems getting the supply at that time. The ingredients are similar and my two cats prefer the feline natural. I do prefer Ziwi but I’m doing good combining both. For dry food I use Open Farm 2 pound bags a little bit more expensive but they’re eating a fresher product. Also, if you have a finicky cat for treats like I do, I found shameless pets.

I've been having a REALLY hard time finding a good food for my cat; he's diabetic, has recurring pancreatitis that makes his body not respond to his insulin injections, AND has IBD and food allergies. Having to find a food that is a novel protein, limited ingredients, and low in carbs has been a nightmare! I picked up a few cans of this from a small local pet shop and both of my cats love it! Our non-diabetic cat is usually a really picky eater and only licks the gravy off of foods, but she'll chow down on this. I was really worried when i opened the first can because of the white spots on top, but a quick google search found that it's normal fat separation since the food is packed raw and "cooked" by the canning process. :) There are only two things i dislike about ... MoreI've been having a REALLY hard time finding a good food for my cat; he's diabetic, has recurring pancreatitis that makes his body not respond to his insulin injections, AND has IBD and food allergies. I can't order it on Chewy (which is only a convenience thing, since i get litter and medicine auto shipped!) and it takes a while to chop up the paté block and stir it all up with the liquid, which is the only way i can stir in crushed tablets to trick Nox into taking his medicine.

My 11 cats have been eating Feline Natural for years. I received my order today and noticed the box and plastic wrap these cans were packaged in was different. Then I noticed the cans are silver instead of the usual gold. So I looked at the ingredient list and saw the ingredients had been switched around but more less seemed the same, until I looked at the "Guaranteed Analysis" to see the taurine level had changed from 0.1% to 0.06%. Why?? I feed my cats other foods as well, so I'm not too concerned about the taurine, but I'm waiting to see if switching the ingredients around is going to affect their taste for it. If so, I will be returning all 3 cases.
I saw a bunch of reviews about the smelliness and thinking it was rotten. I have a rumpy manx with manx syndrome and extreme food sensitivities. After diarrhea with fecal incontinence for 2 years straight, this, the Ziwi peak lamb, and the meat mates lamb are the ONLY foods she can eat that doesn’t give her diarrhea. Lamb Tripe smells like a port-a potty but is extremely good for them. I promise it’s not rancid meat or something that fell out of the toilet bowl. I have 4 cats and they ALL like different things. One won’t eat any wet food unless it’s the salmon and lamb feline natural or one of the Ziwi peak mackerel options, another turns his nose up at almost EVERYTHING except Whole Life Salmon cubes for crying out loud. My point is, some cats don’t like lamb tripe ... MoreI saw a bunch of reviews about the smelliness and thinking it was rotten. I have a rumpy manx with manx syndrome and extreme food sensitivities. My point is, some cats don’t like lamb tripe and maybe that’s why they won’t eat it. You should definitely find a healthy cat store nearby that sells single cans first to try (more than 2 cans) and see. Actually, the disgusting smelly lamb tripe foods are the one thing all 4 of my cats do agree on. Cats need to eat things with smells that they like and just like humans, we like different things. My manx loves this food and since it 1 of 3 options she CAN eat, I’ll plug my nose when I open the can and be happy she doesn’t have diarrhea that she leaves everywhere she sits and lays down.
My cats had been eating this food for years without issue. It's one of a few brands they could tolerate. Unfortunately, the latest batch was different. The food was an odd color and smelled different. I let my cats give it a try and they both got diarrhea from it. Thinking I just got a bad batch, Chewy kindly sent me a replacement but unfortunately it had the same issue. I then contacted Feline Natural directly to inquire if they had changed their formula, to which they replied they had recently changed their can manufacturer but the product was unchanged and any perceived differences are attributable to seasonal variances in source ingredients. I've now seen several other reviews from customers with the same issues as me, so I'm hoping the company takes a deeper ... MoreMy cats had been eating this food for years without issue. I have exclusively bought your canned and freeze-dried products for years, but it is somewhat antithetical to feed healthy food to my cat that was cooked in a plastic-lined can. All plastics, PVA or not, are deleterious to an animal's health; Your cooked food pouches are also a misstep for this reason, and I think you are misunderstanding your customers. In addition, you no longer sell 3oz cans. I don't feed multiple cats, and want to provide my cat the freshest (albeit, canned) food every time I feed him. Again, I think you are not understanding the market you serve. I have and will again be making my own cat food at this point - I'm not going to pay a premium price for premium ingredients packed (and heated) in plastic liners - or for 6oz cans that have to be ... MoreI have exclusively bought your canned and freeze-dried products for years, but it is somewhat antithetical to feed healthy food to my cat that was cooked in a plastic-lined can. I have and will again be making my own cat food at this point - I'm not going to pay a premium price for premium ingredients packed (and heated) in plastic liners - or for 6oz cans that have to be stored in leftover containers in the fridge. I really was upset to have finally acquiesced to buy the 6oz cans and to find that they were plastic/polymer lined. A large part of why I purchased your product was because the cans were unlined.
I have been so disappointed with current and previous kitty pate foods that have thickening gums in them. I can't believe after years of looking for one that doesn't, I finally come across Feline Natural. I ordered one case to see how my kitties respond to it...I'm letting the previous brand run out and won't reorder...and my kitties LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! I will get a 2nd flavor as soon as the other brand of pate has run out. SO GRATEFUL!!!! And I will add, I didn't think I could afford Feline Natural but it's twice the size can so really I'm paying the same as if I buy 2 cases of the smaller cans of other brand pate.
Truly cannot say enough good things about feline natural, but this specific canned cat food. I have done hours of research on the beta species appropriate diet, and which ingredients in traditional canned cat foods are the worst, none of which you’ll find in feline natural. No fillers or grains, and I’m top of it all the quality of the meat is absolutely the best out there; the fact that there’s organ meat (of multiple organs) in each can is nearly impossible to find of any other cat food brand. It is all my cat eats and she has the shiniest coat and the most energy of any cat. I could sing feline naturals praises a million times over, but here’s one final thank you for your amazing products!!
For several years I had been a loyal Feline Natural customer. Even though the price of their food is much higher than other brands, I knew my cats were getting the healthiest food available. But this is no longer the case. I now believe the Feline Natural wet food product contains potentially harmful contents and I would like to warn other cat owners about this significant change to the quality of their product.Feline Natural Chicken & Lamb Feast now contains a large amount of both bone fragments and chunks of fat in every can. The amount of bone fragments is my primary concern. Recently, I realized I was extracting from the cat food many bits of hard pieces (hard as rock) before feeding and so with curiosity I put all the pieces in a dish to dry. It was after the pieces dried when I was shocked to find they were bone fragments and just how much there was! See attached photos where I show bone fragments found in ONE 6 oz can of the Chicken & Lamb Feast flavor and bone fragments found in ONE 3 oz can of the same flavor. I show the wet to dry stages for each sample; wet stage, so you can see what to look for in the food and dry stage, to prove the pieces are indeed bone matter. If I didn’t take the time to remove these bone fragments before feeding, each of my cats would be consuming the bones you see in the 6 oz picture, each day! I fear that is a dangerous amount of bone matter for my cats to eat, especially for one of my cats with digestive and constipation issues.Has anyone else experienced the same in the Feline Natural product? Can anyone recommend a different food brand? I would greatly appreciate any recommendations.
