I really like the way the handle looks and feels, and the aesthetic overall. Kinda a learning curve with using it.You definitely don’t want to overfill it, and you gotta watch it closely as it doesn’t whistle.Also if pouring, the lid has to be oriented correctly, and if it is wrong then hot water can come out the vent holes.My friend was using it for tea and was impatient as it has the “pour over spout” so she tried angling it steeper, and the lid came off and she burnt her hand. Love it, works well on our induction, it’s quick to boil, pours well and seems to be well insulated, giving time over which to brew the perfect cup! We absolutely love it and it looks great on top of the stove. The finish is top notch, the handle is comfortable and the lid/temp gauge works well.The only criticism is the courier. Aramex are woeful and I think you should change couriers. There is no point getting something delivered to your door if it is then transported to the ware house, a 40min drive across the city. No parcel slip or any communication. The only reason I found it was there was when I tracked it.Anyway great Kettle!!!

So glad I bought this kettle. I make pour over coffee. This heats the water, on my gas stove, so quickly and the pour spout is nice a narrow which enables me to pour just enough water over the freshly ground coffee grounds just perfectly so I can allow the grounds to "bloom" before pouring the rest of the water through. I addition, it keeps the water warm. I really like the thermometer on the top which tells me how hot the water still is without my having to remove the top or touching the pot. I also like the way the handle is designed. The only thing I would suggest is to change the ring between the pot and the handle to a different material as it does get quite hot. So you must be careful with the way you hold the handle to avoid touching it.

I also like the way the handle is designed. The only thing I would suggest is to change the ring between the pot and the handle to a different material as it does get quite hot. So you must be careful with the way you hold the handle to avoid touching it.
Love Fellow. Got the new Ode Grinder and Coffee Service. Super cool to get a weekly text alert with a different small-batch roast. Can't wait to try a Rwanda Intego from Barcelona Roaster Nomad that is on the way. Now per my new Stagg Pour Over is so cool. To have a built-in temperature is a game changer and actually, coupled with my super quiet super cool Ode 2 Grinder makes my whole coffee-making experience fun. The kettle is super solid but wish the cap fit more snugly. Now with that said it never falls off so a very minor item. I replaced this because my Bonavita Kettle which was constructed with such a thin layer of metal and started to leak. Stagg Pour Over Kettle is Solid.
I do love the design of this pour-over kettle but I feel there were some major oversights as well. The handle melted and literally dripped off onto the oven glass top when the handle overhung a heated burner in use from another pot. The fact that the handle could not withstand that kind of short term residual heat is pathetic. Additionally, I hand wash this unit with ultra care because a friend of mine had owned the same one and I had noticed his kettle in the color black flecked off the bottom and I did not want that to happen to mine so I made sure nothing damaged it. I ONLY hand washed it with gentle foaming soap and never used a cloth and yet the black still flecked off within very short term use. I was super excited to finally upgrade my kettle. But the handle immediately melted, despite my keeping the temperature within the marked range. The black paint on the bottom has already chipped. I immediately tried to return it, but Fellow doesn't do returns. When I asked about the warranty for my brand new kettle with its melted handle, they only offered to replace the handle -- even trying to get me to accept a handle in a different color because the black one was out of stock! I so wish I could just get my money back.

I'm giving the EKG kettle system 5 stars but there are a couple of things to add to SCG reviews: 1. My first EKG arrived and the handle connection to the kettle was loose and couldn't be resolved by tightening the handle screw. Also, the kettle kept over-shooting the set temp by 4 degrees so I had to wait for the temp to drop with the timer running to continue the pour over. Fellow Customer Service was all over it and got me a replacement in record time! Top marks for service. When the 2nd EKG arrived the handle was fine but the temp still over-shoots by 4 degrees. Temperature Guage is a must-have. The counter-balance really helps with an easy pour. If I let the water temp get too high the temperature gauge steams up but this doesn't really bother me since I don't really ever want my water above the red zone on the guage. I kind of wish the base was just metal since it's contracted some sort of stains or burn marks on the base from where it sits on my coil burner. Plus the base is too small to completely cover my smallest coil burner, which is a pretty standard size for a small coil so I'm not sure what type of stove this was intended for? Altogether though, love this product, excellent design and is enjoyable to use.
