I use my shredder intermittently, but when I do, it’s worked hard, so while I could have chosen a shredder with less capacity, I felt my choice was justified. On unpacking my 221, I was immediately impressed by its robustness. In use, it’s proved to have quite an appetite for work. The shredded paper fragments are so tiny that it does offer total security.It is quiet in use, well-featured and solidly built. I’m very happy with my purchase and feel sure it will give me many years’ service.

I bought this LX221 to replace a 15-year old shredder of German manufacture. It has proved a very competent performer, devouring everything that it’s been offered. I have a small home office & only need it every few days, although there are occasions when it is subject to heavy use. I particularly value its quality construction, and the status bar on its front. The fineness of its micro cut guarantees total security. It’s not a particularly cheap product, but it does give value for money. You DO get what you pay for.
