Recently bought an Epiphone DR500MCE with no thoughts of using the pickups, but we all know how that goes. Play weekly with some friends so wanted something 40w or larger. Tried the Acoustic 40 and it was a little muddy, the Fender Acoustasonic 90 had really good highs, but no low end, the Fishman Mini Loudbox was the best of the 3 right at the $300 price range I was looking at. My wife saw this one at $399 and said give it a try, I hit one open G chord and we both looked at each other and knew we were taking it home. It sounded better to me than the other 3 by far, at least with the dual pickup configuration my guitar has. It is attractive too and much easier to carry than my 2 12" 50w tube combo for my electric guitar.

Version with more features because it was heavier n just feels like old America and will last. Jr. Version is rated same power wise but other reviews claimed not loud enough. Gotta figure heavier with less features and bigger equals louder. Plus less to break. Very solidly built good sound. But I will prob really only use it for singing at volume w. Elec. just wish had reg handle to wrap cables. Would def recommend to anyone who isn't planning on making a living with it. It's probably that good but I'm not a good judge of that. But as a hobby I feel like this will last 20+ years like my hot rod deluxe!

Another great Fender amp for my home studio. I was looking for an acoustic amp to add to the collection. I'm a big Fender amp fan so it was really a comparison to the Acoustasonic for me. This amp has a warm acoustic tone, plenty of volume and enough sfx for my needs. Bonus features can be accessed using the 4 way footswitch from my Mustang GT. Worth the extra cost when compared to the similar Acoustasonic amp. Really works well with my Taylor 312 and my T5z.

I was previously using a Fishman Loudbox Mini for the better part of a year which is a great amp but, the effects on it are limited and I also noticed that after every gig. it was heating up in the back which worried me. I read the reviews on this one and decided to take a chance and I'm glad that I did. Now I noticed that some folks have complained about the lack of volume on Fender Acoustic amps and here's why, if you are using a guitar that has passive pickups, then the signal is going to be somewhat weak. using a guitar that has a active pickup / pre amp , will rectify that issue. On the plus side- if you are a finger picker this might be the right amp for you. When I was just picking it sounded okay. I strum mostly and bought the amp because I've recently written several songs that I wanted a 2 channel amp to practice my guitar and vocals with. So, on the negative side- I could never get a good tone strumming with this amp. It was either too bright or too muddy. I was so bummed the first time I played it. The effects... were just okay. Some of them seemed nonexistent until you pushed the volume pretty high. The slap back echo for instance. In a certain Youtube video it sounds great, but I couldn't hear it at all until I cranked it up pretty high. The build quality is nice enough. It's light. I just didn't like the tone. I took it back tonight and got a Fishman Loudbox Mini. The difference is amazing. Strumming my first chords through the Fishman were like strumming on a guitar that has amazing tone and you just want that guitar SO bad. Very balanced compared to the Fender. And louder. YMMV... Not trying to steer you away, just sharing my experience.

I wasn't sure at first since I couldn't find a lot of stuff online about, but I plugged my guitar, played a bit and really liked. A couple days later I took it to a wine bar with me to give it a try, played with my Martin d28 with a LR Baggs anthem SL on it and I was really really impressed! I'll be honest this the only other amp I own apart from a Frontman 10G which is just a practice amp for electric guitar. That being said, the sound on this is spectacular. Great control over shaping the sound and some really cool built in effects, I didn't purchase a footswitch but my understanding is you can take advantage of more features like the delay. It's not that big but it's really loud. I'll be using this soon at a wedding, will be exciting to see how it performs.

I looked at the Fishman LB Mini which is another fantastic small amp. What sold me on the Fender Acoustic 100, as I am using it as a bedroom pracrice amp for my Taylor 414ce are three features not available on the Fishman LB Mini, Bluetooth for playing backing tracks, a 1/4" headphone jack for private listening during practice, and a USB port for direct recording to my laptop.If I did not have those three specific needs as described above, I would have probably have purchased the Fishman LB Mini, although I am really not sure given the beautiful cabinet.Other things to consider between ... MorePurchased a Fender Acoustic 100 this month. Good quality amp. I haven't begun to explore the special effects yet. Sound quality is great. However the bluetooth feature is useless. At least driving the amp from my phone, the volume is so low I can barely hear it. Phone volume is up 100% but the amp does not have a way to boost it. The aux input volume is fine but it requires a hard cable connection to the phone or mp3 player. Inconvenient!
