The title says it all but that it sounds like a vintage Strat because I put 57/62 pickups in it. Think Clapton's Brown Sunburst Layla Strat. This model was the first of the revamped American Standard line. It is almost mint. And while the stock pickups were lacking the neck is smooth and allows for quick playing. I added locking tuners, but the original are in the case. In fact, all the original parts excepting the pickups comes with the hard shell case--users manual, black strap, key for the case, Fender bumper sticker, price tag, and of course the trem bar. On top of that is a sticker (I'll remove it upon request) from Shakespeare and Sons Bookstore in Paris. I have a feeling that this is "the one that slipped away,." I hope it finds a good home.
