I have been hankering for a butterscotch blonde tele for some time, and was just waiting for one that was sufficiently different to justify a purchase of yet another guitar. This one, with the 70s looks, twin wide-range humbuckers, individual bridge saddles and tremolo fit the bill perfectly! The build quality is excellent, the neck and fretwork being easily as good as my US Fender Original. The neck is a bit deeper than my other guitars, but as I generally wrap my palm around the neck rather than thumb at the back I actually find it very comfortable. While I prefer a matte neck, the gloss on this is not sticky at all so I'm happy with it.Tone-wise, it's what you'd expect from a pair of wide range humbuckers, with a much more rounded sound than a traditional tele. ... MoreI have been hankering for a butterscotch blonde tele for some time, and was just waiting for one that was sufficiently different to justify a purchase of yet another guitar. It doesn't have the usual sharp bite in the bridge position, but with individual tone controls for the pickups you can certainly sharpen up the bridge tone and roll off the tone on the neck to give a decent range. And then, to top it all, there's the tremolo. I haven't used one before, so I'm still perfecting its use, but given that I like a tremolo pedal, having a genuine tremolo is great. I don't generally go for deep dives, but just playing around with it I found it stays in tune very well, and it's great for just adding a subtle level of tremolo. This guitar and my Fender Original Thinline Tele are my joint favourites, and the addition of the tremolo arm probably makes this one just that bit more fun!
