Fender - Pure Vintage '63 Precision Bass Pickup, Black

(21 reviews)

This was removed from a 2018 Fender American Original '60s Precision Bass. The pickup worked great when removed. This P pickup version has an excellent vintage voicing. Appropriate to that style, the low end is more warm than super focused or modern. The mids are fantastic and very musical. The output level is good, not weak. If you own one of those Fender MIM 50s P reissues with the incredibly mid-scooped pickup, then you may be familiar with how quickly those can disappear in a mix or live setting. If I still had my MIM 50s P, I would drop this pickup in and never look back. It has a nicer tone and a clearer voice.
