I cannot speak highly enough of this flashlight once again fenix has outdone the competition without gimmicks or colorful distractions. The main thing is that I never realized how much I needed the capability offered by the Tk11 of switching from tactical mode (high and strobe) to duty mode (high med and low) I own a lot of flashlights none that do this. It’s easy to handle, aesthetically pleasing, but well made so it can take a beating. I love the dual energy source from 1 186500 to 2 123 lithium batteries . 1600 lumens is a lot of power for my needs as a law enforcement officer I couldn’t be happier

1600 lumens is great, and the tail switch is what I like most. Quiet activation. Lock out switch, so you don't accidentally turn on with carrying in pocket.Adjustable brightness with using duty mode is nice to have.Streamline size. Does not feel bulky in pocket. The battery is surprisingly long lasting. Especially using the 1600 lumens. I use this flashlight everyday at work.

No doubt about it, this is a great little flashlight. The output and focus is striking. I’m sure that when i read the details about this light, it did not say that it was provided with an battery. However I assumed it did and I was disappointed when I found that it had no battery and also there is no way to charge a rechargeable battery in the light. It looks so much like one I have from Fenix and that one came with both. But it’s bright and I love it. Not a bad price either.

Great powerful light with a quick release and improved feel
4 September 2020

For me, the most important things for a torch is that it is small enough for EDC but also easy to use for high stress situation and light. For stressful situations, the dual mode allows you to select single output 1600 lumen. Even if you are using the regular mode, you can rapidly release the strobe by holding 0.8 second which is awesome. If I compare to the PD36R that I own, it feels smaller in your hands and is more comfortable. You also don't spend time changing brightness which is definitely a plus for me. Only thing I would have liked to see is a better tail switch, it is harder to action than the tail switch on the PD36R. Overall, this is the best torch I have ever owned and would recommend it to anyone.

Great upgrade - ditch the pouch
30 November 2021

Excellent upgrade for my original TK11 which has served well for many years. The original still works great, but the body diameter is a few thousandths of an inch too small for newer Tenergy 18650 batteries. (I was able to find batteries that fit in the Fenix store.)The Tac version is much brighter, offers more brightness levels, and switches more easily between them. It also has a useful clip.I would suggest that the included pouch be dropped from the package. Like the one accompanying my original TK11, it is quite flimsy and a poor match for the quality of the flashlight.

King among many lights

This is a light that when i read the specs and description right before i pre ordered it, sounded like it could have been overdeveloped in an effort to make it easier to use but i loved the 1600 lumen and the size 5.5 inches seems to be the perfect size for my lights to be small enough to pull out several times an hour and big enough to fit perfectly in my hand. ill just say the things that everyone should know the price of this light cant be beat, it can take a beating but the NUMBER ONE GREATEST DEVELOPMENT PLACED ON THIS LIGHT THAT I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE (SO I DONT KNOW IF IT EXISTS ANYWHERE ELSE) the dual mode on the tail cap which is made as a tactical tailswitch and "the rotary mode selector" that allows me to set the light for one of 2 modes in an instant, ... MoreThis is a light that when i read the specs and description right before i pre ordered it, sounded like it could have been overdeveloped in an effort to make it easier to use but i loved the 1600 lumen and the size 5.5 inches seems to be the perfect size for my lights to be small enough to pull out several times an hour and big enough to fit perfectly in my hand. ill just say the things that everyone should know the price of this light cant be beat, it can take a beating but the NUMBER ONE GREATEST DEVELOPMENT PLACED ON THIS LIGHT THAT I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE (SO I DONT KNOW IF IT EXISTS ANYWHERE ELSE) the dual mode on the tail cap which is made as a tactical tailswitch and "the rotary mode selector" that allows me to set the light for one of 2 modes in an instant, from tactical (which has 2 modes high and strobe) to duty mode (which has 4 modes low/med/high/strobe ) which its almost hard to explain how convenient this set up is you almost have to carry it for one day to fall in love . of course fenix set it up where the tailcap can be locked in either mode or when its off locked to prevent it from turning on although i dont use the lock mode while its off and its never turned on. As a law enforcement officer i need my light to be reliable, powerful, easy to master and always ready to go. This is my all time favorite light and i am telling you if you are reading buy this you wont regret it

My New Go-To Duty Light
12 September 2020

PROS* LOCK-OUT SETTING: During daily carry, it doesn’t “accidentally” come on in my pocket. All of the “tools” on my Duty-Belt bumps a tail switch during the day, especially getting in and out of a car. I keep it locked until dark and then I put it on TAC mode. Sure saves my battery.* EXPOSED TAIL SWITCH: I can more easily feel and operate the tail switch with gloves.* SILENT-ON: Many times I have searched a LARGE building trying to be stealthily quiet. The sound of the little “ON-click” of a standard flashlight sounds like yelling, “Here I am!” Most people won’t care about this feature. It’s a God send for me. Thank you Fenix!* WIDE SPILL: When turning it ON from the doorway of a standard house’s room, the spill-light covers virtually the entire room. Thank you Fenix!* WIDE SPILL: When turning it ON from the doorway of a standard house’s room, the spill-light covers virtually the entire room. In a large auditorium or warehouse, it covers a huge area in a glance. You still have the amazing 1,600 lumen hot-spot for blinding a threat. TIP: In a normal house, most room ceilings are 8-10 feet high and light colored (egg-white or beiges). Instead of pointing the beam directly into the room (where you get hot spots and shadows), try just pointing the light at the ceiling and let the reflected-light evenly illuminate the entire room. You’ll be amazed. The bounce from the powerful 1,600 lumen flashlight is almost like flipping on the room lights. And at night, it’s not so glaringly bright.* SIMPLICITY: On TAC setting, I get HIGH and STROBE in under 1 second. All I want; all I need. If I need a lower setting for reading up close, it’s not an emergency, and I have time to adjust to it. Plus, switching from Normal-to-Lock-to-TAC is just turning a ring!!! NO MORE “hold button-A for .5 seconds, while simultaneously pressing button-B and standing on one leg” LOL* SIZE: Significantly smaller than my other 2 duty lights (TK22UE and TK26R), but just as bright.* THROW: coupled with the great spill light, the 1,600 lumen spot goes down an alley, or the side of a long building with authority. You can’t outrun the speed of light 🧐😂* BATTERY: Uses 1 standard 18650 or (2 each, CR123A as backups) so I don’t worry about not having spares in my Duty Bag. I always have a supply of CR123A for myself or fellow Officers who are running low.CON:* NO COLOR LIGHT OPTIONS: The TK11TAC only has white light. The TK26R has red/green selections. Not a big issue, as I SELDOM used them. When I did Search and Rescue, the red-function was important for reading, while maintaining night vision.

My new favorite light!
28 November 2020

This is a really nice light. I have a bunch of Fenix lights, including the PD32 2016 (which is also a great light) and the TK25 R&B, and this thing is brighter than them all. It’s got a really far throw- it beats the PD32 on both throw and beam width. I like the 3 brightness levels- I find the 5 levels of the PD32 to be annoying to cycle through, and I only use 3 on it anyhow. The tail switch on the TK11 Tac takes some getting used to- instead of a satisfying tactile “click!” like my other Fenix lights, it gives a mushy-feeling barely-audible click. At first I thought it was broken, but now I don’t think it is. It works fine, but is just.. Different. It allows you to both turn the light on and change its level through the tail switch though, which is great. I didn’t ... MoreThis is a really nice light. The TK11 Tac is a little bigger than the PD32, but not enough to be a concern. The tactical lock is also kind of nice, if you are going to use it on a firearm. The lock will also be useful to ensure it doesn’t get clicked on accidentally in a bag or your pocket, since the tail button is exposed. If you are thinking about it, I’d say go ahead and buy it- you’ll be pleased. I’m gonna buy another for carrying, since I mounted my first on my rifle.

TK11 TAC, Exceptional Weapon Light
17 December 2020

Upon receiving my TK11 TAC, I was rather underwhelmed. Compared to my PD35 TAC it took 2nd place for EDC. Although brighter by 600 lumans, the TK11's 4 brightness settings are seperated to far apart to be of optimum use in all EDC situtations, it's either too dim, or too bright for close in work. Needs more settings to cover all EDC situations I've come across so far. The rear throw switch doesn't really need a lock position as it is a very hard, audible, push, to lock it on. Where it excelled is when I swapped it onto my AR in place of my PD35 TAC. Using Fenix's ALG-00 Flashlight Mount, the rear throw switch is in the perfect position to use the Tactical "tap" mode for target illumination. Unicorn laser eyes!

Luminous as the ark of the covenant at the end of Raiders! Shapely as a unicorn’s horn! Bright as the laser in Real Genius! Visible by life on Mars (maybe)! More Illumination than the Illuminati. More output than that one girl in high school, you know the one! Seriously, it is a good light because it has high lumens, takes non-rechargeable batteries, the lock is great, and the silent click won’t wake anyone.
