I do not like the smell, it is strongly fragrant and throughout the entire work day I continue to smell it. I received this products for free from Influenster and in exchange for my honest review. The smell isn’t necessarily bad but, it’s not something I don’t like. And I don’t like that I can smell it all day and it covers my perfume I have on. I’m unable to place what it smells like maybe like powdery plastic clean smell? I only tried the product with air drying as this is how I style my 2c/3a combo hair. I’m in a very high humidity due to beach location. The product does help with the humidity but does not completely stand up to the humidity of where I’m at. But it’s definitely one of the better products I’ve tried for the humidity frizzies. The hold is okay, it doesn’t hold up for a whole work day for my climate. If the product didn’t have such a strong fragrance I would rate it higher- But bc of the fragrance I will not be using it anymore. That and too much effort for the product to look well.

Now for the product itself.. I love it but there is a downside. Yes it makes my curls look beautiful and yes they are longer lasting with more of a hold and less frizz.. the downside is that my hair gets that kinda stiff but not quite crunchy feel.. I’ve had curl enhancers that make my hair hard and crunchy and I hate that. However I have yet to find the perfect enhancer or defining cream that leaves my hair lusciously soft and my curls just bouncing. Even this cream doesn’t provide bounce like once it’s dry it locks in and holds the curl while feeling a little stiff but until I find my unicorn curl defining cream that leaves my hair soft and bouncy I will absolutely continue to use miss fenty and even repurchase on my own because the smell AND the quality curls where such little product is bringing my curls out more and giving them hold is perfect. I can deal with the less than super soft hair especially when the outer result looks damn good. I am shook that fenty hair care is a thing and I’m honored to have been able to get my hands on this campaign because I never would’ve thought fenty would do hair this well. But I’m half in love. I still need to try the deep conditioners and such because maybe that will make the difference with my hair. 100000/10 amazing.

Overall, this cream beat out most of the other hair care products that I’ve tried from high end to low end and does the job of multiple products in one. The only constructive criticism that I can say is that I think that a squeeze bottle might make the product a little bit more accessible, but that’s just nit picking and not a huge deal. I found something I like better than traditional gel to hold my locs and styles and it absolutely smells phenomenal! Thank you for letting me test this because I'm floor at how well this product works! It makes my hair look and hold fabulous which is shown in a picture. The cream itself has a texture tacky like a gel but looks like a cream and absorbs fantastic with damp hair. My hair is closer to the course side but throughout the years has lost texture and bounce. This brought it back so easily without a diffuser too so you know, I just air dried it. It didn't weigh down my curls, as a matter of fact it gave them a fuller look. Natural ringlets ready to form and you can actually see how it defines my locs too! Did I mention the smell? When I say, this product had me in shock!! I have predominantly 4c hair with very small sections of 4b (at the nape of my neck and at the crown of my head). Unlike “sacred” which I almost invested in out of desperation, Fenty offers free returns, which put my mind at ease, the products were more affordable (for a millennial working 2 jobs, that’s paramount) and it’s just straight to the point. Add A Moisturizer Before Applying!

The Fenty Homecurl Curling Creme has a scent that you'll never forget. I've received so many compliments when I apply this to my hair for the day and walk past people. The scent reminds me of a gentle upscale perfume without being overpowering. It actually took me back to the old school days when my grandparents used to do my hair. That good old school (but not old) scent made me reminisce on being a little girl and that good smell my hair had the first day it was done. Now as for the curl, this product did the job. It turned my dry frizzy hair into silky coils. My only complaint with this creme is that it's not a stand alone. If you only apply this product, it will curl your hair but your hair will still feel dry afterwards. There is no moisture affect to it.
