I am very happy with your product. The attraction for for me was the fact that it was adjustable as I had constraints about where I wanted it to fit. The adjustment of the posts both sideways and depth wise were enough that I thought I could fit it in my available space (I've worked as an Aeronautical Engineer all my life so I figured I could "make it fit" given the dimensions available). I had no problems erecting the structure. The hardest job was drilling the holes through the brick pavers into the concrete slab beneath, but that is not related to to the product. The quality is excellent, and the value is good. Such is the limited choice in Australia due to the small market. Your website advised to call first to check stock, which I did, and you had two left, one of which I bought. The only problem I had was with the roof panels. I followed the diagrams in the installation instructions initially and had problems with the end panels which kept "popping up" at the outer corners. I then reread the installation instructions (as an engineer does), which said to start installing the roof panels from the middle (different to the diagrams). I then took off all the roof panels and installed them again from the middle outwards. I still ended up with a problem of a panel "popping up" at one front corner. I manufactured a packer and played with the fastening of the beam that the roof panel connected to, and it has been OK for a few weeks now. The problem (the engineer in me is speaking here) is that as more roof panels are added, they are 'tensioned' and apply greater tension to adjacent panels. This induces the roof beams that they connect to to twist, which results in the formed edges of the roof panels being unable to clip into the top of the beams properly.I am fortunate in having an engineering background which enables me to solve problems I come across, but I suspect the average handyman would struggle a bit with this product. All that said, I'm very happy with the product. It's just what I wanted.

I did this on my own by fixing one bolt and then levelling it in using the bottom edge up with the brick work as suggested. Seal with exterior silicone.Build the front and lift it into position. It's very light and can be held upright by one person whilst the other bolts on the end beams. It stays up once this is done. I leveled and plumbed the legs, then bolted them down at this stage. The instructions suggest doing that last. This is great if you want to play around with leg positioning and pitch afterwards. The remaining rafters can be put in place with one person if required. They all line up perfectly and go together like a dream. Remove the protective film from both sides of the polycarb panels. Slide them into position and tap into place using a rubber mallet. The gutter works really well. My only grumble is the joining clip restricts water flow in the middle. I cut the inside lip off to get over this. You can do this in a day if you graft. 2 days over a sunny weekend is a breeze. I'd also allow two days for inexperienced DIYers. This looks smart, hasn't leaked and is solid.

Overall I've been very pleased with this for the price. Delivery quicker than expected (under a week) by a helpful 2-man team that put the GIANT box down the side of the house for me. Construction took me two full days as an experienced DIY'er, but that included moving a drainpipe and laying concrete footings for the legs, which added a few hours. Mostly completed single-handed, but you definitely need two people to assemble the front frame on the larger sizes, as it needs someone to help raise it and hold it steady while you attach the top beams.Looks great, feels sturdy, and doesn't leak if assembled correctly. Thankfully I was able to hammer it straight and it was an end that was hidden by a plastic panel, so won't be visible, but as this was clearly crushed at the factory (nothing else was damaged, including the packaging), that's a black mark on Palram's quality control- Fixings are a bit of an odd mix - you get huge bolts to attach to the wall and ground, but the fixings for the roof beams are tiny by comparison. Hopefully they will stay firm- Squaring it up has to be done manually, and if you don't get it perfectly square, the roof panels won't fit. A couple of cross-pieces to help with the process would have made it a lot simpler- The gutter has spouts at both ends, and the design means it can't be converted to a single-spout option, which would have been more usefulSome top tips for assembly:- Take your time fitting the wall plates and making sure they are perfectly level. The rest of the construction fits around these, so getting it right makes everything else much easier- If you get the top beams perfectly square first, roof panels can be slid into place rather than hammered in, which is *way* easier- Don't fully tighten any of the bolts on the front section until it's fully assembled, as squaring it all up is much earier once the roof panels are in place

Very good lean to and the design is really good. My handyman put this together almost in a day with very little help from me - he was very impressed with the build and design quality.Friends cant believe the price i paid for this!Note that when we order 6.1m kit we get 2 * 3.05m kit with a connector kit. Works perfect.

2 man delivery was on time and both polite and helpful men, however, this huge 5.46m canopy was squeezed into one box, making it almost impossible to carry and starting to burst at the seams.Assembly was much more involved than some of the reviews indicate. This took 4 men 5 hours to assemble. When lifting the leg assembly, each leg (3) needs one man to lift and support, and a fourth to start bolting the assembly together.Design improvements: Each leg should be provided with a plastic "boot" to prevent them sitting on the concrete/paving stone and most likely rusting in the future. The rainwater gutter comes with two downspouts (no downpipe, but I viewed the instructions before purchasing and was aware of this). It's unlikely and unnecessary to use both, so a single plastic blanking cap could be provided for almost no cost.On the downside, a small metal plate was missing. This was reported to Costco who told me that they would inform me when despatched. 4 days later, no call so we went ahead and started assembly. I'm lucky in that a good friend has his own stainless steel business and managed to make me one. The part never turned up. Two weeks later I reported this to Costco, they offered to re-order the part told them not to bother. Hence the 4 stars. The final result though is excellent, bordered with a glass balustrade to finish it off.None of the problem were insurmountable and I would recommend this item.

Palram Feria 10 ft. x 24 ft. Palram kits allowed us to adjust where we wanted the posts. We chose to build cascading steps all around our deck and mount the posts on the steps. Palram kits allowed us to adjust where we wanted the posts. We chose to build cascading steps all around our deck and mount the posts on the steps. This allowed us to maintain plenty of headroom, provide adequate slope and keep more deck surface for outdoor living. We also shortened the posts by 2.5 inches.--Living in the forest, light was important to us. The panels provide plenty of light and protection from the elements, and created a sense of openness, even with the lower roof height.--The kit is extremely well packed and the parts are fit together with precision.--Directions are mostly all pictures which I thought was odd at first, but actually done very well making installation a breeze.-- Because we live in the forest, we have a lot of pine needles constantly falling. I was worried about the built in gutters getting clogged. Even though from the outside view, the gutters are beautifully closed, you can easily clean out the debris from the leading edge of the patio cover side of the gutters from underneath--a real plus!--After reading all the over a couple hundred reviews on Palram covers and competitors before purchase, I was especially impressed with how the Palram panels easily, yet firmly snap into the roof rails. Cleverly, any leakage between a panel would drip into the roof rails which is channeled into the gutters.--We had some shipping issues, and I had to call Palram for help. Their support was amazing. Leo W,,, (Palram) followed up with numerous emails as he solved the shipping hiccup with the shipper that was hired to bring it to our house. We felt very supported!--The only feature we hoped would be available, that wasn't, would be a downspout kit. Currently, the kits have a 2" round spout coming out each end of the gutters, but no downspout. I have read threads where others have used PVC or adapted box store items, or even rain chains for the job. I'm sure something Palram would come up with would look a lot better.--Lastly, this patio kit far surpassed our expectations and is worth every penny or wait that you may have to endure to order one--there is a reason these kits sell out so quickly--there is no comparison to others on the market.Happy Customers in WA State

Murphy’s law - when I tried to put things up level, they get invariably slanted. With this patio cover I tried to give the foundation of the poles a varying level to give a bit of banking so the collected rain water could flow down one side - but the foundations level ended up absolutely straight. The overall appearance is great and we have had severe rains since I put this up. The noise wasn’t too bad.

We love our new patio cover! From the other reviews we knew it would take a while to erect, so we took our time and spaced it out over a weekend and it took around 9-10 hours with 2 people. We had to enlist a third helper to stand the 3 legs up and hold while things were adjusted and be warned that until you have all the screws on the outside supports tight (they say only hand tighten while you put the panels in) that the legs can lean in suddenly. So having one person holding the middle leg to make sure it stays straight is a good idea until all panels are in and you are happy the legs are straight and level (a level will be your best friend along with your drill!). Also, make sure panels are exactly where you want them before starting to bang them in, as they will ... MoreWe love our new patio cover! Also, make sure panels are exactly where you want them before starting to bang them in, as they will not budge once they are locked in place, which is quite comforting unless you didn’t align them properly! We are certainly not expert DIYers, but we have tackled a few tougher projects over the years and this was one of the bigger projects we have done. As others have said, make sure you read and understand the instructions! We didn’t add washers at one point and added around an hour to our effort having to unscrew and add the missing washers and screw back in. We also went onto wood decking, so total time included fortifying the decking to make sure it was fit for purpose. This was a replacement for a larger and much heavier structure that started to become unsafe and was removed. We had quotes to replace the cover and did not want to spend 10 times or more the cost of this option on having a company come in and erect a new one. With this new lighter cover we can now enjoy our outdoor space again come rain or shine and it has added another wonderfully liveable space to our house!

The canopy was the perfect fit for our patio. Materials...
24 March 2022

The canopy was the perfect fit for our patio. Materials are of good quality. Assembly is pretty straight forward (lot of pictorials to follow.) Customer support is excellent. It needs to be pointed out that the metal header for the wall of the house is supplied with hardware to connect to a brick wall. If you are attaching to a lap sided house, you will need a 1" x 6" board attached to your wall (which requires you to locate the house studs to attach the board with lag bolts) then you can mount the metal header bracket to the board. Assembly is pretty straight forward (lot of pictorials to follow.) Customer support is excellent. It needs to be pointed out that the metal header for the wall of the house is supplied with hardware to connect to a brick wall. A hammer/drill is necessary for drilling into concrete. You will need two 3/8" carbide tipped mortar drill bits for the 12 holes (concrete can dull a bit quickly.) It takes 2-people to set this up but a 3rd is always a plus.

We love our covered awning. My husband and I put it together by ourselves and it took most of the day. The instructions were easy and clear but there were a few road bumps. One of the panels arrived damaged due to a big dent in the box but the damage was in a roof panel on the edge and once put on, its wasnt noticable. A couple of sections during assembly got put together backwards (there is a right and wrong way and it fits together the same until you get to a point where you need screw holes and they are in the wrong spots) So at that point my husband figured it out and it had to be un assembled and re assembled. That probably cost about an hour or 2 extra on time. Once it was assembled there is a piece in the roof frame that has 2 metal panels near the middle and they do not connect. There is a half inch gap in the roof that is completely exposed, the panels do not touch. I do not understand how the manufacturer could think this is ok when it comes to a covered roof panel.Luckily my husband is handy and was able to mend it. He tried a few different expanding goops and caulking and foam but essentially filled the gap with caulking and let it dry. Unfortunately it is yellow and doesn't match the white (will attach picture) but he will fix that later with something that doesn't yellow. Thankfully it hasn't leaked yet. It took several unexpected trips to the hardware store. With all that being said, we LOVE the covered awning. We had a 10x10 pergola before and went with the 10x24 awning. It more than doubled our outdoor living and now that its covered we can go out there anytime. We can enjoy our back patio daily rain or shine and be in the shade and stay dry. It is very nice to go outside in the rain and have a covered area to enjoy. I am also enjoying not having to bring in all my patio cushions when it rains. The gutters have worked fine for us but one of the connections on the gutters didn't seal fully so my husband caulked that area so it wouldn't leak out the front. Ours is attached to cement and my husband had an issue with one of the drills breaking in the cement so one of the posts isn't connected correctly. But all the rest are and its still very stable and not a concern. The awning looks so nice. We wanted something that is permanently attached and looks like and extension of our house. We've had our awning now for about 3 months and have enjoyed our backyard way more than we could before. We are west facing and could not go outside once the sun went over to the back of the house. This provides the perfect amount of shade and keeps it cool underneath. For anyone who is worried about it creating a greenhouse affect, the white panels do not do that. I was concerned it would create heat underneath due to some of the reviews on the clear panels, but it doesn't at all. It also filters the sun without blocking all the light which I was concerned about. I didn't want it to block any light from coming in our house b/c our main light source comes from the windows and door that the awning covers. It did not affect the light coming into our house at all. I no longer have to shut my shades daily b/c the awning does the trick! That was something else I wanted was to be able to keep my shades open even when the sun was shining on the back of our house. I'm sure it will help our air conditioning bill but I haven't kept track of that. We live in an area that gets hail, so I'm not sure how it will hold up in a storm but we shall see. I'm thinking positive. This awning was the perfect choice for us. I researched every possible option. If you are needing shade, wanting a covered patio in the rain, don't want to block light into the house and having something that looks high end, well built and stable, with a great price, this awning is for you. If we moved and needed another covered patio we would definitely buy again.
