Festool KN-FT2 (203994) Folding Woodworking Knife

Larger than expected, but feels good in the hand, easy to unfold and retract, but there is a little play in the hinge, (which i may be able to tighten). It has proved very useful for electrical and DIY work.

I’m not a tradesman so hadn’t heard of Festool products before.I was looking for a nice sensible wooden handle knife to use whilst pottering around the house and garden - something with a good quality blade but without any whistles or bells like a Multi-tool or Swiss Army knife.A quick Go Ogle and the Festool knife popped up for sale through Folkestone Fixings ltd (FFX) for a very reasonable price of around £16.Quick delivery from FFX and this knife ticks all the boxes for my needs. It sharpens up well (I use a Sharpel knife sharpener).I have no hesitation in recommending.I did purchase a leather case for it from Am*zon for £8 as well.

A Strong Pocket Knife

This is a very sharp and strong knife. It is easily opened and the blade locks into position and is released by pressing on the handle end of the knife. The knife fits my hand well.

A well constructed good quality

A well constructed good quality piece of kit that has been an ideal companion for when noodling about with jobs in & around the place , as sharp as a razor & has never failed to cut anything that I've tried it on so far , being of suitable dimensions & very comfortable to use it's a great little addition to have in your tool kit ,,,, hopefully the blade will prove easy to sharpen when the comes , but thus far it has kept it's edge & has not dulled down enough to require any sharpening . No regrets what so ever in buying it .

Everything about the knife is

Everything about the knife is good, the weight,it feels very substantial good weight and the quality I think is superb, having used pound no .8s for years this piece of kit is a sort of revelation, it keeps an edge as it ought to,if knives could talk my trusty Opinel would a little envious. Thanks and regards John Hayes.

Fantastic knife, folds up small

Fantastic knife, folds up small enough to carry easily, top quality, just what you would expect from Festool good weight with comfortable wooden grip. Sharp blade and easy to hone.

Festool 203994 Working Knife

Although Festool is often associated with high end and rather expensive tools their working knife is a unique case. It is the most premium, solid and well balanced knife that has ever crossed my path at such a reasonable price. You can generally buy it for around £15 all day long and it is well worth the price....Superb knife you will not be disappointed.

I was very pleased with

I was very pleased with this product. The weighty feel of the knife and the high standard of finish makes this different from poorer quality examples that cost more. It is ideal for me a general purpose utility knife for use around the fields and in the workshop. I was pleased to see that the blade had been correctly sharpened on both side to give an accurate straight cut.

Perfect balance

Love the knife love the olive wood scales on the handle the edge on the blade is top notch cuts through almost anything. Has perfect balance for its size.

This was a replacement for

This was a replacement for my original Festool knife in which the blade spring mechanism broke off so you could not use it as the blade would not stay open or closed. Light duty only for this one as now retired . Had to knock off the sharp edges with a diamond file. German made in China!!.
