Great saw, very accurate and so far with no blade deflection as with the dewalt one I purchased previously. The battery lasts pretty well but it is well worth having spare.

Very happy. Saw cuts are awesome and the power is amazing for cordless. Can honestly say was worth the wait
Grate saw will use you again tidy orderd festool m class vacum 36 volt 😊👍👍
Fantastic tools
Excellent machine very portable with some well thought features . My only criticism would be the handle and trigger / safety could be a little more ergonomic but overall very happy with it
The context to this review is that I own a lot of Festool products, in fact the majority of the workshop is Festool, and I have been running them for many years. What I like about this product is the weight and the footprint of it in the workshop. My original rationale for buying was to downsize the current kapex (larger model) to claim back some space as I mostly use the table saw but it is useful to have a mitre station on occasion. I won't be letting go of the larger model now and I am very glad I didn't sell it prior to making this purchase. I will keep the KSC60 for work on site. The torque and overall power is, as expected, excellent; as is the blade that comes with it and the fine blade that can be purchased. The shadow line is OK, certainly less hassle than ... I won't be letting go of the larger model now and I am very glad I didn't sell it prior to making this purchase. I will keep the KSC60 for work on site. The torque and overall power is, as expected, excellent; as is the blade that comes with it and the fine blade that can be purchased. The shadow line is OK, certainly less hassle than adjusting lasers BUT, it isn't quite as clear on the work pieces as it looks from the videos / youtube reviews / festool promotion - and yes the lighting element is clean and free from dust etc. The accuracy is excellent, but it is just the visibility of the line that was disappointing given the expectations I had. This didn't seem to improve in different environments, although it didn't get worse in daylight or under the bright workshop lights either. There is a lack of attention to detail which is odd for Festool in my experience. For example, yes there is a rear carrying hand hold area, but it is a smooth surface with no contour or grip, wouldn't have been that difficult to account for this as although it is not heavy, it is by no means light and you wouldn't want to be lifting it entirely with the saw arm handle. The other issue, which is downplayed on the Festool USA comparison video, is cutting compounds at the extremes on I think the right (or left - cannot quite remember). In essence, on one side the cutting height is reduced dramatically and it would have been, in my view, so easy for Festool to have corrected this. Yes, it exists on the larger kapex but due to increased capacity overall less of an issue. If I had seen this issue before purchasing I would not have made the purchase, which indicates my level of frustration with it. Many years ago I had a very cheap mitre saw that did not have this issue....The next surprise for me has been the battery life. We've all seen the videos and read the reviews, hundreds of cuts, etc. Well, to be honest I am not convinced. I was using it as per the manual, two 5.2 batteries and I was shocked to be getting less than the track saw in terms of cutting life out of it. I really did not expect this but I have cycled through several different batteries and it is certainly a pattern, so, minus a mark for battery life despite it supposedly being a key feature. One thing that really does reduce the battery life in my experience is notching on this - really very poor. It might get you through a day on site with a set of batteries and so fair enough but it will be close.Dust extraction is outstanding but only with an extractor, obviously the bag is nonsense - although significantly better than other bags I've had a go with in the past.Overall indexation at positive stops and handling is excellent, the glide is smooth and very little if any flex in the arms at any angle.Overall, don't expect too much from this - long awaited but I am not convinced it is worth swapping out for. If you are looking to make your first purchase of a mitre saw and know this capacity is right for you, go for it, it is very accurate and a great small footprint in the workshop. On site, possibly, but there are better options in my view when you factor in the very significant price point.
After long wait I have finally received my new KSC 60. Even though its a heavy tool, carrying it its easy thanks to the handle on top and groove/handle on the back. Using it with the bag creates lots of dust, only the fine dust goes in it, but if you attach vacuum cleaner on to it - probably 90% of the dust it's collected. Very smooth and easy to adjust angles /Mitres. Unfortunately when cutting kitchen cornices(let say) and using combination of bevel and mitre cut, there is positive stop/notch on 31.6 only on 1 side, and 33.9 degrees bevel is not marked,my old £100 mitre saw got both, I wouldn't expect Festool to miss something very important for installation of mouldings/corniceses. Brand new 5.2amp batteries don't last long even when cutting only 12mm ... MoreAfter long wait I have finally received my new KSC 60.
