FiiO - CP13 Cassette Tape Player Walkman
FiiO have designed the CP13 with large oval buttons for playback controls (play, stop, rewind, fast-forward) on one side, while down the other side you will find a sleek volume dial, a USB-C port for charging, a 3.5mm headphone input and a status LED. CP13 incorporates the imported audiophile op-amp JRC5532, a classic reproduction known as the "king of op-amps." Coupled with the all-analogue circuit processing, it delivers familiar melodies with a lingering and nuanced sound. Crafted meticulously with full aluminium alloy, CP13's dual-tone casing showcases a seamless blend of form and function, with a "zero" visible screws design, enhancing both texture and aesthetics. Additionally, the buttons use a tough oxidation process, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance. The aluminium alloy volume knob features a large-sized analogue volume potentiometer, offering better stability, reliability, and an improved adjustment feel compared to regular cassette players using flatter potentiometers. CP13 features a high-capacity 1800mAh lithium battery, providing more power and longer lifespan, offering over 13 hours of continuous playback and an outstanding standby time of over 268 days. CP13 is equipped with a dual-mode power supply design, supporting both battery and Type-C charging. Connecting to a 5V power adapter enables charging, with mature charging, power supply, and overvoltage protection circuits for added peace of mind. Performance:runs well with fairly minimal wow and flutter, although the overall sound quality leaves more to be desired. the treble is lacking, but the bass sound is solid.Quality:nice build quality despite the player being made of plastic. feels sufficiently solid for a modern cassette player, although the plastic is potentially prone to scratching.overall a solid modern cassette player, probably one of the better players in the market. sound leaves a lot to be desired, but still marginally better than most modern day players for the price point.

Nice fully analog and new cassette player in 2024! Sound quality is comparable with basic Walkmans in 90th.This cassette player created more for fans. If you want excellent sound quality you should search for 80-90th original models, but it's difficult to find one in a good condition. Same with new cassettes - you can still buy some new albums but the sound is not comparable with premium chrome-oxide cassette in 80th-begining 90th.

Just amazing!!This is an exceptionally high quality cassette player, made from milled aluminum, and built to tight tolerance.Features? This is as barebones of a cassette player as you can get. No recording ability, no bass boost, no Dolby. What do you get though? Excellent battery life, USB-C charging, and GREAT audio quality. It's everything you need, and nothing you don't.How's the audio quality? FANTASTIC. As good as a real vintage Walkman that's in perfect condition, and far better than any other new portable cassette player being made today, far better than the We Are Rewind player. There's minimal motor noise, basically no WOW, and the playback speed is near perfect, no pitch shifting here!Is this really portable? It is a large tape player, as big as some of the earliest Walkman's. I'm able to use it in my back pocket without issue, but your mileage may vary. The player has no issue with playback while walking and hiking, and it works just as well sitting on your desk, as it does sideways in your pocket. It exceeds my own expectations in that regard. What's the catch? The only downsides to purchasing this over other alternatives, is how few features there are. There's no USB or Bluetooth audio, you MUST use the 3.5mm output. There's no recording ability. There's no support for Dolby noise reduction. There's no bass boost features. If you care about any of that (I personally don't!), then you're better off with a Sony WM-EX1 or WM-EX910.Nitpicks? I've already got some scratches in the aluminum case from abusing it (I am not gentle with it!), and rewinding is a bit slow.As for me? I'm in love, this is basically the perfect cassette player.

Great Experience after 1 & 2/3 Months with this Product. Sound Reproduction is Forgiving to Static, Almost Like a Smooth-Out to a Pair of 1970's Sony Bookshelf Speakers (Yes, Still Up & At-'Ems). Don't Cut Your Fingernails to a Bare Minimum and then Want to Open the Door Latch.. i mean its Not a Big Deal or a Game Changer, But with or Without Nails You Can Play Nine Inch Nails on Your FiiO with a Little Finesse. Very, Very Solid Build Quality is my Example. Volume Knob Doesn't Blast Out the Music or Spoken Word, Seemingly on Purpose for Protection. It's Helpful to Have External Speakers with their own Separate Knob, ala a BOSE with a RCA-3.5mm Adapter. That's It, A Very Solid Little Device!
I've been tremendously happy with the experience of not just the player but buying from B&H from start to finish. Tracking and confirmation arrived promptly and once the player got here, it worked perfectly out of the box. I've collected cassettes and had a stationary player on my dresser for a while and being able to immediately hit the ground running with something portable has been great. I'd order again in a heartbeat and have already recommended it to friends.
It's a dream comes true holding a walkman in 2024 thanks to headphone zone for giving this moment of joy.Its different feeling can't express. Producing good stereo sound ,build quality and metal look amazing. Better than 90s walkman.Regards.Your's music loveršµš„.
FiiO - CP13 took me down the memory lane and brought a smile on my face. Yes, this is what it does it, more than the sound. Rekindling the cassette craze. Sounds really good with good tapes. The inevitable hiss disappears once you play some music. I bought the kinky red and grey model, looks and feels like a premium chocolate bar. Just love it with my Campfire Audio IEM and even Meze 109 Pro. Spin some tape...guys. It's worth it.
As the owner of a large cassette tape collection, I had begun to despair of being able to listen to them any more. The tape decks of the 1990's are so old that the belts are starting to slip on most of them. When I found the Fiio CP13, I was thrilled. This tape player has no record function, so there is no chance of accidentally erasing a tape. The case is metal, and is very sturdy. The battery is built in, a lithium ion cell that lasts for a number of plays of 90 minute tapes. The output is through a 3.5 mm stereo miniature phone jack, for either headphones or a line-in cable. This is not an auto-reverse player, and there is no 'pause' function. The reproduction quality is superb, much better than any portable I have heard before. Flutter and wow are practically non-existent, and the music is sharp and clear. For any person who has cassette tapes which they wish to enjoy for years to come, I highly recommend this player.
It's a little fast out of the box, but I believe that's intentional as supposedly the mechanics will loosen up inside and get closer to 'normal' speed. Other than that, it's given me no issues, works great, looks great, and gets the job done. If you're looking for a cassette player and have your eyes on the CP13 I'd say go for it. B&H are great as always.
Overall Iām happy with my purchase. I bought the B&W variant and I love having full view of the cassette as the reels spin, itās hypnotic. The casing and buttons feel high quality. The battery life is good and it charges with a cable. The sound is decent. With a good quality tape recording, you get good clarity with nice treble and mid range sound. The bass is a little lacking. but overall it's a good cassette player. I think that if anyone wants a *new* portable player, this is a very good option.
