This is my second chi-fi purchase after the Tin T3 back when it was the hottest thing in 2019. I realized that overhyped products would never fulfill my expectations which keep inflating as I hear more people consistently say that the Aria is better than anything Fii0 has ever put out. I didn't trust the build quality of the T3 when I bought it, and I was right to assume so. Still, my FiiO M3K had shown no flaws besides the silicone cover tearing so I decided I would invest in the best build quality to price ratio I could get while also making sure I would be getting a vastly different tuning compared to the T3 (which was focused on being bright) so that I'd have more toys to play with. Hopefully, I will be getting the Dunu Titan S next month so that I will have 3 completely different IEMs (Bassy-FH3, Neutral/V-TitanS, Bright-Tin T3) to swap amongst and play with instead of buying a single expensive IEM that has better overall tuning and technical performance. In conclusion, I will update my review when I get more familiar with them and have something else to compare with, but I've given it 4 stars because the first impressions were a bit shallow and causes the mildest of fatigue when vocals were being played (a thing I never had with the T3 cause it made the details pierce my ears instead of the pinna gain on human voices.) The fit and build quality are way superior to the T3 excluding the cable, but the T3 cable was in fact the first thing to break, so I have a bit more hope in the rigidity of the FH3 cable since the neck cinch is very functional too.

I am satisfied to use this as a consumer headphone. I am not sure if the so-called audiophiles may have their technical thoughts, but for me this is good. Good extensions in the Bass area without that so-called bleeding or bass muffling. I recently purchased a Kato and always felt like the bass was very muffled and not sparkly or rumbly. So started looking reviews for a low cost IEM with better Bass. FH3 solved that issue. Treble is also good. Sometimes, with at frequencies and high-speed music the tightness of the treble is just a bit less, could have been a great unit if this was somehow achieved. But that is not something stops me from listening with it. So I am switching to FH3 as my regular listener. The mids are clear, bass is well balanced, and the highs are crisp and there is an openness to the sound. The overall build quality is typical FIIO which is outstanding and so is the quality of the accessories. Comfort and fit are also perfect (I do know this is very subjective as it will vary). Bassheads rejoice!
8 June 2023

The Fiio FH3’s are an awesome pair IEM’s for anyone who enjoys electronic music. The bass is rumbling yet very well defined. The bass is so much better quality than on campfire audio honeydews, which were a boomy mess. Highs are a bit recessed, but very much present and easily heard. Easy to drive them, no need for any DAC or amp. If you are a bass head and enjoy all sorts of electronic music or dance music in particular then the FH3’s are the best bang for your buck.

Good bass but sharp/shrill treble
7 April 2023

I have tested these headphones with the regular apple dac on iPhone and Macbook. Amazing bass right off the bat. The treble is on the sharp side. If you like electronic music and hiphop then these are for you. If you like clarity and accuracy these are not a good option. The fit is comfortable, the eartips are nice and offer a good seal. But after an hour of listening they become a bit uncomfortable mostly because they are too sharp and bass causes ear fatigue.

Good bass with no lack in clarity in vocals & treble

Triple drivers actually works. Combination of one Dyamic & 2 Balanced armature make clear separation, very good bass without bleeding into mids. Tuning is very pleasant to listen for long time. Wire over the ear makes the easy to wear for long time since they are heavy compared to single driver IEMs. Overall satisfied with IEM.Build quality of IEM is good with no sharp edges or uneven surface. Wire is also good with no memory apart from ear hook and no microphonics/sound is passed to music from rubbing of wire with cloths, zips or other things. Carrying case hard & soft case both are good. Ear tips are in large number but I like default ones & one in clear with red centre for good bass & clarity. But this can be interchanged with another mmcx cable with mic easily. Also I prefer mmcx over 2 pin in most other chi-fi since they lock quite securely, doesn't become loose with time and can also swivel around axis for more comfortable fit.

Great IEMs, but also get Tripowin Zonie MMCX balanced 4.4mm cable with it
30 June 2023

So I am new to the hobby, with my first audiophile iem being the Truthear Zero (original). I'm primarily a pc gamer, and a casual music listener. While the Truthear Zeroes were good, and have 0 complaints with it except perhaps the highs being a bit shouty for my liking, these were simply perfect in that regard. I wouldn't exactly call these warm by any means, but these definitely removed the shouty highs issue, and sounded crisp, with tight bass, with great imaging and Soundstage. But here's the deal. While it was better than the Truthear Zeroes, it was only marginally so, or so I thought, until I bought the Tripowin Zonie MMCX balanced cable to be used with my iFi Zen Dac. But if you have a decent external DAC with a 4.4mm output, please buy the balanced cable which costs only 1799 rs. It paired excellently with the fh3s and I finally feel my sound journey is complete. At least for the foreseeable future.

Instrument Separation and Imaging
14 November 2022

IEM technology has reached a point where diminishing returns have started to set in very early and even 10K/20K IEMs are punching above their weight. This enables audiophiles to try out a wide variety of sound signatures without breaking the bank. For the FiiO FH3 - the distinguishing characteristics are instrument separation and imaging. It might not have the widest soundstage but has the best depth and imaging that I've experienced in recent times. And the FH3 remains true to its character across a wide variety of source and amplification gear (tested with a combination of Cayin RU6, Schiit Modi 3, iFi Zen Can, Schiit Heresy - all courtsey HPZ). In conclusion - thoroughly satisfied with my purchase
