Absolute value for money for a balanced/bassy listen

At this price range offering such value is incredible. this will not compete with 10,000 INR+ headphones but absolutely makes all other closed back headphones in this price bracket look like it's lacking in some area.They sound great and are super comfortable and light. The sound is pleasing, the highs are decently resolving for the price. The bass quantity is slightly excessive for a fun signature but there is little to no bloat. It's not the most textured bass, I would describe its sound as transparent. The overall tonality is a balanced one.It's resolution is decent for the price. Not treble presence mind you. Exceptional performance and comfort, subpar build quality.

Amazing sound quality for about Rs.6,000.These cans contest with sub 20k headphones due to their resolution and texture.Low-end/Bass - very good, does not bleed into the mids. a bit boosted subbass which sounds fun and lively.Mids - quite flat, which may sound boring to the crowd accustomed to the Sennheiser sound.Highs/Treble/Air - somewhat flat but with enough resolution.Comfort - the pads are luxurious and soft. Extraordinary headphones for the price

This is an impressive headphone.The build quality is very good. Made of good quality plastic and metal. The head strap and yoke are stainless steel. The close back cups are plastic with an attractive grill. The ear pads are very soft and comfortable and the and the pressure is about right. I can wear these easy for hours. The cord is detachable. It's supple with a cloth covering. The jacks are aluminium with an attractive dark blue finish. The cord has an inline mic (not tried it yet) The sound is extraordinary. Having a solid warm presence throughout the range with an excellent base. The clarity and detail are excellent, the placement o instrument is very good. The soundstage is good. To wrap it up,they are simply extraordinary. Sonically, The build quality is good to very good and beyond what you usually get in this price range. There's nothing better in price range to best of my knowledge. Get them if you can. You will not be disappointed.

FiiO X Jade Audio - JT1 - Value for Music & Money

I have been using the JT1 for almost a month now. I just love music there are no hard and fast rule for my musical taste, the choice of music depends on how I am feeling at the moment. I have a varied collection of music spanning across the genres.I really enjoy the recordings from old songs, the stereo imaging at times absolutely blows my mind.Well, I am not a critical listener, but I appreciate a decent weighted, well imaged and not too colored track playbacks. But considering the value for money and the Brand name, Fiio JT1s are within that spectrum of 90% music lovers.My experience in a nutshell:Bass: A slight bump in the overall tuning to mimic lower bass than what the drivers could produce. It sounds just a tad bit artificial at times.Mids: Above average, there is an influence (very slight, won’t notice if you are not looking for it – knowledge of it leaves a bad taste. My advice, don’t go looking for it.) of the chambering sound due to its design and tuning method.Highs: Except for the finer, “sparklier”, tingling and fully resolving waves the rest of them come through very clean and neat, balancing the overall original tuning. But again, not all ears can hear those frequencies and even if one can you won't know what it is unless you know.Apart from the attempt to explain how they sound to me, I would again say these are a real good value for the money. The build quality is great, they are strong and light, the cans feel good to touch. These respond very well to EQ changes and sound even amazing when used with Dolby Access or DTS Sound Unbound. Equalizer APO let’s you actually fine tune these cans and bring them as close as possible to how I like them to sound.Tuning vents: I did notice there are 2 vents at the topsides of each earcup. They are responsible for the bass resonance. I placed my fingers above them gently to see if in any way it alters the way they sound and YES! They do drastically change in how they sound. However, if you cover the vents more than 50% “I” felt that they kind of make the whole sound a bit narrower, forward and strip off close to 70% of the bass from their original sound. Down the line I may try placing iem filters over them to see if that mod would do any good.Enjoy listening to music and don’t get drowned in the technicalities.

My impressions are after a brief, 24-hour burn-in period - on the Earmen Eagle, Shanling UA2, Fiio KA3, and Hidizs S9 Pro DACs - with lossless 16-bit/44.1 KHz on Apple Music on Android.One of the pitfalls of certain products getting over-hyped is that it can often leave you somewhat disillusioned. My experience was something like that.My interest was piqued when Zeos of Z Reviews on YouTube nearly orgasmed on them, and even HPZ's own reviewer compared the soundstage on these to the near-legendary SHP9500s. However, things improved after a 24-hour burn-in period, with most of the boominess in the bass that drowned-out the mids going away - the veil lifting from the midrange, and the sub-bass emphasis beginning to emerge.However, that boosted mid-bass/sub-bass and upper midrange makes this better suited to EDM, heavy metal, and hard rock. In classic rock, that boosted mid-bass still continues to make them sound somewhat boomy, and that pronounced upper-mids boost sometimes makes the vocals shouty.To give an example, unlike what the HPZ reviewer said on their YouTube review, this messed with Don Henley's vocals in 'One of These Nights' by The Eagles, making his vocals sound more 'shouty' than they actually are. For context, Dream Theatre sounds great on this, but not The Eagles.Also, it is far too ambitious to compare the soundstage on these to those budget open-backs from Philips that garnered a cult-like following - the near-legendary SHP9500s.They are fun, bassy, and decently resolving for the price, but get a rather flattering 4-star from me only - and only - because the options are so limited nowadays.OneOdio has a seemingly discontinued model called the Monitor 40 (which I suspect was the precursor to the Monitor 60) that is still available on Amazon between 4 - 4.5K, and they sound just about as good. They do not have that occasional shoutiness in the upper mids, nor the occasional boominess in the mid-bass, with about the same texture and slam in the sub-bass as the JT1s. However, despite being very comfortable, they are not as well-built as the JT1s.Where the JT1s do better are in the build department, being extremely comfortable to wear, with the dual-3.5mm cable giving the option to run them balanced too, although these are unlikely to scale with more power.My benchmark for such "DJ-like" headphones in the 5K+/- range has for long been a hidden, vastly underrated gem from Philips called the SHL3300. Launched in 2014, they retailed for about 2.5K in India (selling for about $50/- in the US) although they were often available on Amazon for 1.5K. Although they were marketed as 'DJ-style' bass-centric headphones, they were surprisingly balanced with the most tastefully done bass for such a low price, clear, detailed midrange, and a smooth, highly resolving treble. Replacing the pads with thicker, perforated ones did wonders to its soundstage, bass texture, midrange detail retrieval, and comfort, and they scaled superbly with increased power - being rated for 2,200mW with a nominal 32-ohm impedance.To me, they were always the closed-back alternative (albeit a bass-centric one) to the SHP9600s, and it was sad that it never caught the eye of so-called 'audiophiles' just because of how it was positioned, marketed, and priced by Philips.Sonically, the decade-old, humble SHL3300s are far superior to the JT1s. Moreover, till such time the OneOdio Monitor 40s continue to be available for sale on Amazon between 4 - 4.5K, it's difficult for me to recommend the JT1s at 6K to anyone. A price-point of 4.5 - 5K would be more appropriate for these.Like DMS said, I would recommend that one shell out the extra 2K and go for the AKG K361s - a superb Harman-tuned implementation - available as they are for under 7K on Flipkart at the time of writing this review.*Wireless alternative:Another surprising find is the JBL Tune 710BT, usually available for 4.5K on Amazon, which despite being nowhere as comfortable as the JT1s, are a great, Harman-tuned set of cans - especially when used in the wired-mode with an entry-level dongle DAC. The added convenience of wireless connectivity makes up for the relative lack of comfort on these.

Just a basshead

If you're a basshead then its definately for you. Unfortunately i am not "just" a basshead. The frequency response gives more of a warm signature, the clarity is average nothing extraordinary. M20x and AKG K361 are much better in this regard. The soundstage is wide considering the pricetag and closed back design, much better than other gaming headphones in this price range. Imaging is also descent, AKG K361 still remains the imaging king in this pricetag, you can clearly hear and differentiate different musical instrument in them. Comfort is top notch tho. Choose wisely.

Perfect for fun in detail

Coming from a balanced iem outputs like the HD598 and Aonic 4 of Shure i wasn't able to conclude that this one too is similar. The sound is clean and a little bass heavy due to which vocals take a row back. Tiny bit.But over all it's so much fun listening to any genre. The highs and the mids are well pronounced and crystal. You can't miss the clarity it brings out and yet being a budget headphone.Very comfortable and built sturdy. Prefer cool environment due to sweat which is an issue with any headphone pads.

Truly a beginner audiophile headphone.

You'll get what you want a good pair of headphones are these the best? No at this price point?
