These do the job and the price on special is good. As a racecar extinguisher, they can only be used for 3 years after manufacture. The one I bought was 8 months old as were most of them on the shelf...so I only get 2 years and 4 months use out of it. Is there any way we racecar folks can ask for one more up to date.? thanks.

Difficult to review a fire extinguisher w/o 'user-experience' (which no one wants). Took advantage of the 50% reduced offer (from $39/unit). Bright red, easy to hold in the hand, compact and, hopefully, working 100% should the need arise. I should say, this is part insurance and part deal - I bought two units; one for each car. I hope that they will not be needed. Currently in the boot of the car in their original cardboard box.

Bought this a while ago hoping to never have to use it. Just got home after my car caught fire, could've been a very different story without an extinguisher. Cars burn quick, I know this because I am in the CFA and have attended many car fires. All I need now is enough money to repair my car or get a new one...

It's something you may never use. But having the fire extinguisher in your vehicle is a very sensible decision. You may need it for your own use. Hopfuly not. Or you may need it to help someone else. At a great price. Great quality. Easy mounting. I bought 21for my car and 1 for my garage. Everyone should have 1.it should be a part of getting a pink slip for your cars registration .it could save your car or someone else's car. A very happy member.
This item is neat, looks well constructed, has an easy fastened holder and a contents indicator. I had one of these some 20 years ago, on a boat and found it to be most reliable. Never got to use it but it stayed with the boat when sold and was still in the green.
I haven't had to use it yet thanks goodness, but from what I can tell, it seems like an excellent product. Larger than I expect, robus with a pressure gauage and a steel holder with quick release mechanism
I purchased 4 extinguishers recently while on sale, I gave one to each of my family members and kept two for myself (one for the shed one for the kitchen). The quality of the product is high and the metal CAMS grade bottle cage is robust. A good quality product and must have for the home and shed.
I've had mine approx 2 years and still has the original seal but checked it today to discover that it's lost its pressure. Lucky it wasn't an emergency and was needed.I've got old (20+ years) extinguishers that still have full pressure and are fine. I went back to Supercheap to ask about it and they said it's pass it's 12 month warranty so bad luck.

Sleek cylindrical lines, metal highlights and stunning green and white printing provide me with feelings of safety, joy and calm. Once I recovered from the pure enjoyment of unboxing this item, I could barely contain my enthusiasm for the bracket. I know a thing or two about brackets, and this is right up there with other.... brackets. Strong, functional, secure. Seems to be of good or equal quality to the extinguisher I am replacing it with. I can only hope it is effective when needed. Problem is we are unable to test these use once items until the emergency is upon us.
