There were none on shelf, we had to purchase only 1 single and it failed to detect any smoke that I deliberately applied to see if it would set if off.....nothing.When I push the test button there is an audible beep & the LED flashes red every now & then.

A great product, these are suitable for attachment to a wall as well as the ceiling, don't have to be on the ceiling, the higher they are installed the sooner smoke can be detected.

Absolute garbage. One week after installing 10 of these in the house with the batteries they came with and already 3 have been randomly beeping (3 beeps then nothing, then 3 beeps), ALWAYS when people are sleeping. Replaced batteries, but if it continues over the next few weeks I'm returning the lot.

What better way to discourage people from installing them in bedrooms! I didn't expect it from these battery powered ones. The pack says, 'An intermittent "chirp" accompanied by a red LED flash every 32 seconds indicates a low battery.' It says nothing about the red LED flashing ALL THE TIME. This should be indicated clearly on the packaging.And as others have mentioned, there's no hush button. Good luck getting an alarm off the ceiling and removing the battery without permanent hearing damage, as these things are LOUD. The pack claims it's 85 DB. Moulding tolerances are off, tried to turn to clip the smoke detector into the housing and one of the lugs snapped.Screws are too weak and snapped while driving into pilot-drilled joists. Replaced with 6g countersunk screws, no problems.Hope the detector works better than its shonky construction.
Absolute trash smoke alarms, bought these not even a week ago, and they randomly going off, turns out these are the same brand we got two years ago and they did the same thing.I only bought them because they had good reviews but they are trash.
Our old smoke alarm died (different brand) and we needed a replacement. I read a number of comparisons before buying this product and it seemed to offer good quality at a reasonable price. It was a breeze to install and started working immediately. No complaints so far and it's very reassuring to know that we will get an early warning of any fire hazard. It's very important for a smoke alarm to give warning when it needs to be replaced and this one does that.
Easy to install with battery included. Very happy with the quality and performance for a very reasonable price. Would recomend for sure..
Bought 2 packs of two 3 months ago. 2 out of the 4 go off without reason. I changed the battery but made no difference. Lost the receipt so unfortunately I couldn't return them. Pay the extra and get better ones
I purchased this battery smoke alarm in November 2022 and the battery is flat already only 5 months laterWe removed the smoke alarm and the instructions say - replace the alarm!!The battery cannot be changed and I cannot get a refund as I have not kept the receipt
