The Revo is probably the fastest board I’ve ridden. It also has the craziest drive thanks to the long parallel rails in conjunction with the insane bottom contour design.I found the board to excel in small waves, granted it had some “push” and steepness to the wave…I wouldn’t count on it as a flat out groveler. But in up to about head steeper waves, the board lights up. Handles steep late drops well thanks to the right amount of flip in the nose.Paddling on the Revo is an absolute dream. That was not the case the rails hold through and out of the turns extremely well and i would say it's probably one of the better designs that tomo's done. This one blew me away in the sense that it was such a small frame and how well it held in the pocket and how much speed i was able to burn when needed basically a boat haul lifting all the weight off your body and getting you down the line as fast as possible and that's one of the best ways to describe it and the other one would probably be is like if you're snowboarding lean back on the tail and you're just sinking and going faster which is a pretty great sensation when you have average waves and this board really exceeded my expectations the rail lines are relatively short like all his other boards but you can carve a full roundhouse cut back and come out with a hundred mile another speed super easy to ride super forgiving easy to get on a rail i can imagine. I ride a 5'6 at 30 liters as if it gets bigger how well it will do for that Revo customer that rode the board relatively big but was able to manage a lot of foam in a small frame and excel and i think this board is going to have a lot of traction at retail um i wrote it as a quad but it works extremely well as a thruster as well and with the back rail surfer.

Used my revo today 2/1/23 at bowls it felt good, it's fast and loose, still need to get use to it because I was using my moe all this time, Mahalo, Clarence.
The Revo is sick!!!! One of my favorite boards in my quiver for small fun waves. Rode it both as thruster and quad with H4 fins. Super fun and fast! Goes through flat areas and the board is forgiving too with the shape - anyone can ride this board. I let my friend catch a wave on my board, and he was sold! Went down to Hawaiian South Shore and ordered one.
Tomo says it should be a quad or twin plus. Didn’t love it. Back foot push the board around too easily and it would pivot without driving me. I’m real backfooted so maybe I need more fin back there but it lacked drive with a large raked set.I switched to a naked Viking surf twin plus trailer and it had that that boost I was expecting. Pressing with the toe edge on the downward pump gives me big time speed! Carries speed through turns better also.I sided up to a 5’10. Wide tail. I got going pretty fast on it ona. Shifty bumpy wave and I was going to fast to do anything but go strait on powerful bumpy waves.Cleaner the better.
I was hesitant at first, and the Revo was certainly an impulse buy, but as a transitioning longboarder to surfer, the channels and overall shape of the board seemed to be something worth trying, and it was such a great purchase. The board paddles amazingly, and with a quad setup in conjunction with the channels, the speed was noticeable right away. This being said, the board is incredibly nimble and forgiving, allowing for quick turns and quickly gaining speed again. I would recommend everyone have one of these for their quiver!
This board is a wave catcher. Love the volume in such a compact board. I’m 180lbs 5’10 riding the 5’10 Revo and it’s perfect as a grovler or up to 2ft over head. Very skateboard like feel. Fun everyday board.
I’m a HUGE evo fan and this is just what I wanted from Tomo/FireWire! To me it’s like a slight step up version of the evo. Decent on small days but when it’s too big or hollow for the evo it’s the perfect conditions for the Revo. I wouldn’t go out on it in double overhead but anything less than and I’d feel right at home. The bottom contours are wildly different from the evo but allow for much more stability and control at high speeds and critical turns in the pocket or under the lip. 10/10 from Tomo only wish I could get the evo and Revo as a twin plus trailer or keel dedicated board for the same familiar controlled ride in a slightly different flow!
Bought the Revo 5'9" for a surf trip to El Salvador and to surf big rights board works unbelievable its fast and smooth. Im currently running Mick Fanning 2+1 and love it. Would highly recommend this board for anyone looking for a good summer time board.
