Reviewing as Ocado sent these to try. We've not had sardines in quite some time and to be honest they were the ones in a tomato sauce, which we had on toast as a cheap meal. These are quite different of course. I was really looking forward to the lemon aspect but was slightly disappointed to find that lacking. They are however plump, firm and delicious. my daughter really struggles with super fishy fish but she enjoyed these with herby lemon pasta. I love that these are a more sustainable option. A little on the expensive side but I would possibly order again

I was given these sardines to review by Ocado. I prefer them to the ones in sunflower oil as I'd rather have olive oil. The lemon flavour is very subtle not sure you'd notice if it wasn't labeled. The fish are a good size and and a delicate flavour. I added them to a tomato sauce with pasta for a bit of extra Omega 3 with a handful of rocket. Tasty dinner

Top quality sardines. Mine had no more bones than are usual for canned sardines and the can was packed full, just like the old phrase 'packed like a sardine can'. The sardines were delicious and I am certainly buying again. Going back ten or twenty years all canned sardines were of this quality, even the very cheap ones, but sadly times have changed and we now have to pay a premium price for really good sardines. All credit to Fish 4 Ever though for providing us with such excellent fish.

I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Four plump and good sardines. Not much lemon, to be honest - a thin sliver at the bottom of the tin. It could use some more lemon to cut through the fat. Still, quite good and made a lovely lunch with some vegetables and rice.
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I?ve not had these before and normally get the sunflower oil one when it is on offer. They taste similar but probably prefer these more due to the olive oil taste. I personally couldn?t taste the lemon much but the olive oil has a nice flavour with adds to the sardines which are nice also. They are on the expensive side so I probably wouldn?t pay full price but I would get them on offer as they are good quality sardines.
Received free from Ocado. These are plump, firm and good size sardines. Two in a tin. Super tasty on sourdough bread with a pinch of Barts Peri Peri powder. Slightly prefer the sardines in organic sunflower oil to this by the same brand but both delicious,decent sized plump sardines and I have already placed some orders with upcoming delivery.
These came as a gift in exchange for a review. I don't eat much tinned fish except the occasional tuna sandwich but I did enjoy these. There's enough oil so I laid them on dry, white toast for some crunch with an extra squeeze of lemon juice. I ate the whole lot and enjoyed a filling and tasty lunch though they repeated on me all afternoon (sorry, too much information!) I've no idea how these compare with others price wise but will probably buy these again as the fish themselves were good quality.
I'm reviewing these as I got a free sample from Ocado. I used to buy the Waitrose sardines and loved them on toast for lunch or a supper, was gutted when they stopped as at first only John west was available and they were mega expensive. that's the only issue with these the price, sardines are a cheap fish and when you can get really good own brand ones why spend more for a brand name?
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I actually really enjoyed these sardines, they were very pleasant to eat, however, don't buy these for the lemon flavour. I couldn't taste the lemon flavour, but it didn't hinder my enjoyment, I thought the sardines had a lovely taste without it. Not too fishy, mellow and succulent.
Received from Ocado in exchange for a review. Used in a pasta dish. Tasty in their own right, but added a little more lemon and a few chilli flakes. A good balance of flavours. Good tasting fish, lovely consistency. Would probably purchase if on offer.
