I have always had a top loader but I wanted a front loader for blankets, doonas etc. but was apprehensive as front loaders have notoriously long running times & you could never add a last minute item. However the fisher & pykle has proven me wrong. I can open the machine mid cycle & add an item & there are short cycles if needed. Im yet to wash a doona but have managed king blankets & it hasnt missed a beat. It also doesnt come off balance like the top loader. Winning

This is our first front loader and we are glad we picked the F&P. Ordered on a Friday afternoon when to old one finally dies mid wash. My wife jumped online and did a comparison of three different brands on the Good Guys website. F&P suited out needs. 30 mins later the phone rang and a lovely lass offered a deliver of our new washer the next day. They took the old one away and set up the new. Very easy to use and loving the large barrel. Does a queen size quilt cover and sheets with ease. Pool towels have washed up better than ever. Throw in the dogs bed and then run a barrel clean afterwards. No in barrel lint filter to clean. Just wipe over the door and rubber rim around the door. I am very happy with the machine as it does what it is supposed to do. no need for installer as the installation guide is very clear and there are pictures and numbers of items to be removed and you just have to follow everything then you are good to go. The wash cycles are good and everything is well done. But as an IT person like me the App is very poor and need more improvement. It says work with google assistant this is just to view what the machine is doing but you cannot control the machine at all event when the machine is set on remote control mode. Google will tell you that start the machine is disabled. Something need to be done. I could have given 5 star if the app was working perfectly. Its a good machine. Does what it says on the box. Ive been happy with the timing of the programs and the quality of the wash. It can take a considerable load particularly when it comes to sheets and towels. The automatic detergent dispenser is handy for quick operation.I do not like the automatic fabric softener dispenser and there seems no way around it. Even on the highest quantity for dispensing it doesnt look feel or smell like there has been anything go through the clothes or assist with freshening or ironing. It seems to use the fabric softener up quickly enough as the indicator drops to low quite quickly ( it is a smaller dispenser than the detergent). Ive tried doing an extra rinse cycle and a separate rinse cycle and it doesnt seem to make any difference. I ... MoreIts a good machine. Does what it says on the box. It's very quiet and I like the auto dispensing. It takes a very large load. It takes a while longer to wash than a top loader (1 hour) It does wash well, and I like being able to add items after the cycle begins... What I don't like is there is no soak option and also the clothes are not spun as dry as my old top loader. So things take a bit longer to dry on the line. Overall though, I am getting used to a front loader and am generally pleased with this machine.

The powder does not dissolve in dispenser and service guy cannot find out why. Disappointed to pay so much money for a machine that doesn't do what it is meant to. I get round it by putting powder direct in drum but shouldn't have to do this. I love the big 11kg size which is why I bought it. Should have stuck with Asko but was swayed by better price. You get what you pay for!
Installation by Home Delivery Centre (arranged by Good Guys) was INCORRECT - they only removed the transport bolts but not the bars and braces. This made the machine rattle like crazy when it ran and damaged it. When they came back the 2nd time they told me the horizontal braces at the back weren't supposed to be removed because they were actually wall mounting brackets. Who mounts a washing machine on a wall!!!! They weren't even interested in looking at the installation instructions, which clearly said to remove the braces as well as the bolts and bars. They they had never seen the transport bars before - they must be installing these incorrectly everywhere.
The Fisher and Paykel 11kg front loader is true value for money. This washing machine has the variety of washing functions to suit a busy family. I have noticed that my clothes are much cleaner, the quick wash is a must for small loads. This machine also dispenses the washing liquid for you, no need to measure out quantities, fill it up and it does it all for you. Overall, I highly recommend this machine.
