I have been using this new model for about a year now after replacing an older F&P that lasted nearly 20 years with only one call-out to replace the water valves. The new one retains previous features like the very high speed spin that cuts down on drying times, plus it adds some new cleverness including the water management modes. I loved the control panel membrane buttons and simple LED indicators on the old model. I think I like the new control panel touch buttons, illuminated selector knob, LED symbols and time display even more on this one. When paired with the equivalent F&P drier, my laundry now looks like a HiFi stereo system! Plus the damped glass lid is pretty cool too. As for the main purpose of a washing machine, it still washes clothes well in the 'Regular' cycle time of 49 minutes. Spin speed is selectable and seems quieter than the older model even at the highest setting. I made sure mine was level and have had no balance problems to date. Make sure if the delivery crew installs it that they they give you the genuine F&P spirit level with the User Guide. The crew pinched mine but the supplier arranged for F&P to send me a replacement one. These machines aren't built as strong as a commercial Maytag but they'll give at least a decade or two of good service if you look after them. They are definitely good value for money, and F&P has pretty good long-term spare part and service support for their products.

I am so happy with my new machine FP WA8560P1, it washes well, and does everything I need for our family of 5. It washes an incredible amount of items in each load, saving time. To research I read all the reviews I could find relating to all FP top loaders as I had had one previously and was happy to repurchase FP. It is also one of the few brands that still does a central agitator. I worked out what is important to me, which is low noise, decent size but still fits into a cupboard, energy and water star rating, and the ability to purely rinse or spin without doing the full wash. I am so happy with this machine. It ticks all the right boxes. I went to the Choice magazine to get the noise rating on the different models. I also appreciated Appliances Online setting up the machine so I knew it was done correctly. I do agree with the negative comments on removing the central agitator lid for adding the washing detergent as it is cumbersome, it falls apart, it falls into the drum and could do with improved design. I'm hoping to get 10 years from this machine as I did with the last.

I have only owned Fisher and Paykel machines. I have An 8.5kg fabric smart washing machine that now drives me nuts. It always says it is out of balance in the spin cycle. Doesn’t matter how many times you rearrange the load it crashes and bangs then stops. It literally takes me a whole day to do one load of washing. No I am not overloading it
