Fisher-Price Cash Register

Wiebe at Backcorner3D did a wonderful job of re-creating the plastic coins for an old FisherPrice cash register from the 90s - a much loved family toy that has been brought out of storage for the first grandchild. The coins look great, work perfectly, and have brought much joy to the grandchild and fond nostalgia to the family. Worth every penny. Many thanks!

A loved old school classic

I was so happy to see this old school classic Fisher Price Classic Cash Register that I played with over 40 years ago available once again for purchase. It's been a long time but I remember having a lot of fun with this for years, and I'm excited to see my own child and her friends play with it now. I think this is a great toy for kids because it is powered by hand and imagination, not dependent on batteries or a screen. I'd rather see her set up a "store" selling her set up shelves of stuffed animals than sitting on the couch with her face buried in a tablet or staring at the TV. While those things are also fun in moderation, its toys like this that inspire imaginative play and innovation. While those things are also fun in moderation, its toys like this that inspire imaginative play and innovation. It's exactly as I remember it with a crank arm that opens the cash drawer with a loud reliable DING sound and six large coins that roll merrily down the chute when the Change button is pressed. The toy coins are large enough to not be a choking hazzard for smaller children and vary in color per coin amount. I gave my child some price stickers to match the coin amounts (5cent, 10 cent, etc.)so she can mark her sale merchandise for her "customers". Wish it came with more coins, but other than that no complaints with this fun classic toy.

Both for Little and Bigger Kids

My daughter is four years old and enjoys playing with this cash register. She loves pretending that we go shopping together and she has to ring up the items. She brought this toy for her show and tell at school, so she definitely likes it enough to want to talk about it. My almost two year old son likes putting the coins in the slot and pushing the buttons down. Both of them still don’t understand the concept of getting change, or getting the exact amount yet, so the green and red buttons on the right side are still confusing for them. They don’t remember when the coin will end up in the register or when it will slide down the left side. They also like the plastic coins to play pretend money in general. Fun Toy for Toddler

My 2 year old loves this cash register. He plays it the in morning and at night. It is somewhat like a slot machine where you put coins in and hit the tab. The coins will drop and you can decide to make a sale or give out change. Make a sale will put the coin in the drawer. He learns what the machine does and he enjoys doing it over and over. It has been fun watching him play. He gets very excited when the coins come back out. Overall I would recommend this toy for toddlers 2 and up.

The fisher price cash register is a fun toy for boys and girls. It comes with coins that are larger and easy for little ones to pick up by themselves. The coins fit into slots on the top of the register. Your little one can push a lever and the coins fall down into the cash register drawer or if they push the change button the coins come out the side of the register. I love the remakes of the old fisher price toys that I use to play with as a child. I love that my kids can play with the same fun toys that I use to and have as much fun with them as I use to. The drawer opens easily, the buttons are easy to push. The coins that are included are the right size for smaller hands to grab and play with. My daughter loves this

This Fisher Price cash register is adorable my 2 year old is obsessed with it, she will play with it for hours on end. It is a durable well made toy not cheap feeling at all so it will last a long time. I also think she will enjoy playing with it for years to come. My 4 year old even sits down with her to play. They love handing out the coins to each other. My daughter loves to turn the crank on the side to open the drawer. This has taught her more about numbers in the short time we has had it. She plays with it daily and she will sit down with it for at least an hour a day. She now says 1, 2, 3 ready set go than pushes the buttons for the coins to come out. I highly recommend this toy it is great for little ones learning numbers.

STILL A GREAT TOY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, BUT NOT THE SAME QUALITY!

I was so happy to see this cash register as I had the original one as a child. I was so disappointed to see it was not nearly the same quality. It looks the same, but you pay more for less quality. The coins are so thin and light and even have gaps in them. This new coin design causes the coins to get stuck and not work the way the original worked. The sale and change buttons are thinner as well. The original actually had a bell on the side and this one does not. I know they may have to make some changes because of changes in child safety standards, but the coins, in my opinion, are more of a hazard in this new version. Like everything, the manufacturers take out a little here and little there, charge the same price or more and think the consumer will not notice. I would have happily paid the extra to get the same sturdy, good quality toy that Fisher Price used to put out instead of a cheaply made imitation that is going to easily break. Take notice of all the old Fisher Price toys that handed down generation to generation through the internet versus the new versions which will quickly end up in the trash. Kids will still have fun with this toy, but it is just something I had to mention.

The Best Cash register for Kiddos

Love it! I had an old one from 1976 and ALL the neighbor kids and my kids played with it constantly.... for hours. Found this one brand new but exactly the same with the bell and coins drawer opens or rolls down... passing on the good memories to the new generation of kiddos in the family

a great addition to the shop!

My little granddaughter loves playing shops and this addition delighted her - it's easy to use for little hands - but enough like a real cash register to make play time even more fun. It's sturdy and colourful - and so far has survived a few knocks without any damage - overall a winner.
