This toy is perfect for little ones. Not only are the blocks durable, but the colors are vibrant and the wooden dowels they slide onto are sturdy. Even with being knocked over several times, they dont show any signs of coming apart. My kiddo enjoys putting them together the "wrong" way and making mismatched animals that always makes us laugh.

Animal wooden stacking is wonderful, the colors chosen, the adorable animal faces created and the simplicity of the toy are all perfect. I love that it helps my 17 month old with hand and eye coordination, such a great learning toy. It shows a different color matching the animals on each row so you know where to put which animal and will help with learning colors. My son has sat and played with this animal stacker numerous times throughout the time we have had it.

Little ones always seem to love stacking toys and this one does not disappoint. Adorable gator, koala and lion. Each animal consists of 3 pieces so it’s not overwhelming for children to master. The pieces are a good size for little hands to manage. Nice wooden toy that is made to last with realistic colors and fun animals, love the smiling gator!

I got this super cute toy for my 1 year old. It keeps his interest for so long. He loves it. It’s very well built, and such a cute concept. He sits and just put the blocks on and off. It’s nice that it has 3 dowels so there is a better chance for success. Haha. It also helps it stay upright well for him.
We received this toy for my 16 month old son. I was really excited about another stacker toy, especially with animals. The toy is listed as 1+ year, but I think my son is still a little too young for it. He showed initial interest in the toy but got frustrated when he couldn't get the pieces on the wooden sticks. It will take some practice with him, but I'm hopeful he'll grow into loving this toy!
The Fisher Price Wood Stack and Sort Animals is a monessori style toy. The set comes is wooden and comes with a base and blocks to make up three animals (alligator, lion, and koala). The set is colorful, cute, and high quality. It is a great toy to help develop problem solving and find motor skills. The intended age states it is for 1 years old and up. The reason I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5 star is I think it should be geared towards maybe children ages 18 months and up. My 13 month old seemed to like to hold the blocks but did not understand the concept of how to play with the toy by stacking the blocks to make the animals.
This is a quality toy, made of wood, but without any rough edges or sharp points. The pieces are large enough that there is no worry about choking, but small enough that my baby can pick up the pieces with one or two hands. The wood pieces move easily on the dowels, so she spends a lot of time hitting the pieces and watching them spin around. She's right at 12 months, so she really spends most of her time hitting the pieces and putting them in her mouth. Her older siblings enjoy putting the pieces together in silly ways to make her laugh!
My one year old really enjoys this stacker. The pieces go on in any order, so for now he just tries to get them on the posts. As he gets older, he will be able to work on putting them in the correct order to make the animals. The wood is smooth and the paint/finish feels solid, not like it will easily chip. My son and I both liked that the packaging was simple - the toy just slid out of the box without any extra plastic mess to undo and dispose of. He got to play faster and I didn’t have to figure out how to get it out.
Our 1 1/2 year old grandson comes over every other weekend. When he came this week I gave home the interchangeable toy to play with. At first he just looked at it. Than his dad came over and mixed up all the heads and bodies. He wanted them put back where they belong. Then he kept dumping them over and restocking them. He really enjoyed playing with them. I sat net to him and he showed me how special they were. I would recommend this toy parents of young toddlers 1+ years old.
The Fisher-Price Wooden Stack & Sort Animals are great for building fine motor skills. My son especially loves trying to separate the animals from the base. The base under each peg is also color coordinated with each animal so we can simultaneously work on colors. There is a lot of thought put into each aspect of the design as each component is rounded off so there are no sharp edges.
