The Fiskars rotary cutter is good and it gets the job done, but you have to apply a lot of pressure to make sure it cuts through evenly. Otherwise, some parts aren't cut all the way. Overall, it's efficient, but could be easier to use.

I haven't done anything with them because of caring for my husband who has been diagnosed with ALS and that keeps us pretty busy and not much time for sewing. But I so love the Jolly Bars and has purchased several over the years. And, Fiskars are my favorite rotary cutters as they are comfortable on my arthritic hands.
They worked fine. My sewing teacher said they were a lousy pair to buy. I just have to remember push the button to retract it when I’m done. My teacher said start closest to you and don’t use it like a pizza cutter go straight forward not back-and-forth. That’s how you get cut.
Fiskars 45mm rotary cutter is one of my best purchases; should have bought one a long time ago. Bought it to cut shelf lining for in my cabinets and it works great to get a straight cut and much quicker than scissors. I'm sure I'll reach for this often on other projects. Really like the way the blade extends for use and retracts to store. Purple is my favorite color which was a bonus.
It's durable, and very safe! The latch that holds it open and closed is really strong. It's sharp, and I love the option to replace blades. Makes cutting layered fabric a breeze!
I bought this new rotary cutter because my old one was falling apart. My old one was straight not very ergonomic, so I thought this one would be easier on my hands...and it is, but I'm left handed, and the blade guard makes it so I can't see when the blade is snug up against the ruler when I'm cutting, so sometimes my cuts don't wind up as perfectly as with a straight blade. Just something to get used to!
The handle of the cutter is great, as is the retractable blade. However, the blade is not as sharp as it could be and struggles with cutting most of the fabrics I’ve used it on so far (obviously, you can sharpen or replace it but, because this would have to be done so soon after purchasing, it is a bit disappointing).
I’ve been sewing for many years but never had a rotary cutter. I was looking for ways to use my fabric scraps and I found a video for making a reusable tote. The video showed the maker using a rotary cutter. What a revelation that was for me! The rotary cutter has made a HUGE impact on fabric cutting for me! This product is fantastic!
