These loppers cut like they're supposed to. They're well made and comfortable to use. I am fairly strong for a woman and with the handles fully extended, I could cut thick branches without much effort. It's nice that for smaller cuts, I can shorten the handles for easier reach in tight places. I took one star off for delivery because the box had a hole in the cardboard at the blade end, likely because the box contained no padding or reinforcement.

These are great! We have a lot of trees on our property with low hanging branches that need to be cut back sometimes, but they’re just out of reach and we have to get a ladder. These are telescoping and are perfect for the job. No more dragging out the ladder and trying to balance with something sharp in hand. They cut through some fairly thick branches with no problem. You can’t go wrong with the Fiskers brand. Their products are well made and durable.

They are very strong! The extending feature is great, works very well. Having that capability makes it easier than needing to switch tools and then losing a tool because I forgot I put one down. The grips on them are very comfortable. The only improvement I’d make would be not being able to find a safety feature. I was not able to find a way to lock them on the off chance my kids grabbed them. Otherwise, they’re great!

These are great loppers. We just moved into a new build and we have a large portion of some woods behind our house and the builder did not take care of the dead trees. These loppers have been great to get those low dead branches. We love that they extend. That’s been a huge plus to these loppers. We don’t have to carry our heavy ladder to the trees. These have a nice extension. Easy to extend with the locks and they stay locked. Highly recommend these
the Fiskars power-lever extendable pruners are nothing short of fabulous for me! I am currently heading into my late 60's and yet can still do major tree work with the power gears of this line of pruners/loppers without effort! Truly, I wouldn't use anything else. The only limitation is that when you fully extend the length of the pruners' handles- even as you have ideal leverage for cutting, (and I have more than once cut a full two-inch diameter branch with basically zero effort), you may be bound in a very tight spot- say in between tightly grown tree branches. In that case, it is extremely tough to get enough space in which the ideal leverage can be used for the cut.
My bush was completely out of Hand. These clippers shaped it just how I wanted and the extension handles made it easy to trim the hard to reach areas. My partner was even impressed with the smooth contour of my bush! In fact, she asked me to use it to trim her favorite bush! Her bush was nearly unmanageable, but after clipping with these steel loppers, it her bush is now truly breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this product for any unruly bush!
Two stars: One for the really solid metal construction with comfortable handles. One for the extension mechanism, the best I have come across.Other than that, I wouldn't buy these again. I bought these because they were more solid than the more expensive ones with plastic extensions as I often use a lot of force on them. My last looper was Hortico and faultless but it's not available anymore. The major issue: the distance you need to span to get the blades around even a medium size branch. The open almost 180 degrees which is almost 2m from handle to handle when fully extended. One photo shows them open at at the width to get an average branch. Useless in general because there's often other branches obstructing the ability to open the lopper wide enough. Useless in general because there's often other branches obstructing the ability to open the lopper wide enough. To get a small-medium branch thickness you need space over over a metre from handle to handle. The other picture shows a fairly small branch with the handles shortest possible. When you extend the handles it is a huge problem. Part of the issue is the mechanism design; the other part the problem is with the narrow blade - the curve is too tight and the blade too short.Because they are really solid, they are also very heavy so you need reasonable strength especially when fully extended (The trade-off for the solid construction versus weight is OK for me but this lopper will be far too heavy some people when cutting trees even if it feels OK in the shop). Even shortened they could easily unbalance someone on a ladder.Reasonable cut when you finally get it around a branch, I'm neutral on that.
Cutting power great, feels well built. Only issue is the telescoping isn’t very useful. When the handles are fully extended, you need to spread your arms incredibly wide to attempt to make a cut. I was trying to prune a tree, and ended up in some weird positions trying to hit the branches up high. The angle of the handles is just a bit too wide to make them useful when fully extended. If you’re purchasing for the telescoping arms with hopes of tree pruning, I would consider buying a different product. If you want a solid, well built tool for pruning bushes, that just happens to have fairly useless telescoping handles - this is your product! To be fair the cut strength did over perform. I was able to fairly easily cut through 2 1/2” branches.
I bought this lopper today and tried it out right away. I am impressed with the power, obsessed with ergonomics, and absolutely love my new tool! I am 5'3" and don't need to lean forward while using the tool fully extended, cutting the branches off the trees that are already on the ground. With my small hands, I use no effort to cut branches that are 1 1/2-inch thick. It feels like a knife going through butter. Also, it is easy to cut branches up high. The yard work was done in 40 minutes. I highly recommend this lopper!
These are powerful loppers. The extendable handles are absolutely necessary. The blade does not deflect when cutting any size branch. I am using these in my tree business so since buying them a month ago I have used them for many hours. The only deficiency I found is the top of the blade edge has lost some sharpness and gotten chipped. I could be using them too hard. Overall very durable.
