I purchased this item from Target. I’ve owned a handful of fitness trackers in the past, but never one from the Fitbit brand. My Garmin devices (Vivofit 2, Vivosmart HR, Vivofit 3) served me well in terms of functionality, but they never seemed to hold my attention. That is to say, the user interface, while functional and useful, simply was not that...inspiring (excuse the ridiculous pun). It wasn’t very fun. I know that’s not important to everyone, but the Fitbit app and UI are so much more engaging and easy to use. I have found the accuracy to be perfectly acceptable for my needs—it is useful information to work with, regardless of the hyperspecific levels of accuracy of the device. The trends are what matters. The consistency of the device’s info from day to day is ultimately more important than the fact that no, this is not a medical-grade device that will nail every piece of info to a T. And that consistency is certainly there.

I have owned 3 other Fitbit watches. I have owned the Alta without the hr monitor- which I loved the most because of its slim design, but also disliked because it didn’t have the hr tracker. The band was annoying, because it would pop off when I did several wrist motions, or hit a corner. Due to that, I actually lost it. Then I owned the Fitbit Charge HR 2, it helped me lose 30 pounds! I preordered this watch, and watched reviews on it, and critics were saying the wrist band material is different, so I didn’t immediately buy an interchangeable (only the IQ Shield, which I highly recommend if you’re in the service industry, spend a significant time outdoors,or if you’re as clumsy as me). And well the band is stunning. Matte black silicone, it’s very light and smooth! I also have a ganglion cyst on my left wrist (reoccurring) that my physician says is due to lifting heavyweights (heavyweight lifter for 14 years). Usually these trackers would immediately agitate the cyst in this w.

I like my fitbit inspire hr. Its great at tracking mu steps and heart rate as well as my calories burned. This was too expensive. It was gift but I knew how much it cost and it wasn't a bad price. Its really cute and more slim line then some of the others. Its easy to use and any problems I had I was able to figure out quickly what was wrong. My mom also uses it and we both really like it. I love that it easily connects to the app on my phone and can keep track of things. I haven't been swimming with it to know how good the waterproof is but it does get wet from washing dishes and watering plants and getting wet but I haven't submerged it. Would recommend

I've loved my fitbit for many years! I've upgraded and got some people in my life to also join the fitbit community. You have "Fitbit friends" and your steps are measured by your stride length which is the average length in which you swing your arm back forth (you input your data, it instructs you how to measure) There's always an ongoing friends list and your all in order ranked on your weekly step count. They used to have challenges you could invite friends to and you'd compete to be the winner; INSPIRE TO MOVE EXERCISE!!

MAIN CON: if you have sensitive skin you will develop the FitBit rash from this device. There is something in the silicon/rubber wristband that will set you off. I copped it within two days of wearing it. Best to purchase an alternative wristband at the same time. That being said...I decided to purchase the Inspire mainly to use in the pool to hopefully get a more accurate calorie burn than simply guessing. So far it works quite well and the FitBit app recognizes Swimming automatically under exercise. Works the best for Freestyle though as it is hit and miss with the other three strokes.Outside of the pool it does everything I expect it to. (Even shows you how restless you are when you're sleeping and logs when you get out of bed at 3am to snack on easter eggs!). Inspire syncs in well with MyFitnessPal...so no need to change where you log your food unless you really want to.Honestly, unless you REALLY NEED to know your heart rate statistics I would recommend this one over the Inspire HR. Presonally, I already know when I'm about to have a heart attack after exercising but each to their own.

So I've been wearing this basically every day for a year now. I am someone who previously would manually log my activity into my fitness apps but hadn't worn a tracker before Fitbit or otherwise. I've enjoyed having a more passive way to track my steps and level of activity, as I do have ADHD and so am both forgetful and easily distracted which did previously hinder my ability to accurately track myself. Now I don't think it is 100% accurate, more of an educated guess, but for me that is fine. What's really impressive is the waterproofing on this. As I said, I'm a forgetful person. I have accidentally worn this in the pool and had it in the shower for a couple of minutes, before rushing to dry it as I'm fairly certain this was only advertised as water-resistant. ... MoreSo I've been wearing this basically every day for a year now. However, I just accidentally put it through the ultimate test.I just put it through the washing machine and the dryer. It was only in the dryer for maybe 15 mins before I realised I'd forgotten to put it back on after my shower. But to my amazement after pulling it out of the pocket of my still very damp bathrobe, this Fitbit was entirely intact and working! I now officially love this thing. It may not be perfect, but if you too need something that'll need to survive a more forgetful person I can now give this my recommendation.

My Fitbit with HR Detector was running down battery wise and would not keep a charge. So I did not care for the expense of it nor did I care for the HR component so this is a very welcome and affordable step up for a fitness tracker if you do not need all the bells and whistles. The band is surprisingly comfortable and has a "belt" loop to ensure that you don't easily lose it off of your wrist due to the way it snaps in place.I was very happy to see that there was a large wrist band as a guy, my wrists are pretty big so the large band fit comfortably. The color is pretty awesome too and I like how the display has the color similar to the watch band.Setup was a breeze out of the box. I had to delete my old watch to setup the new one and then there was a firmware update. It also mentioned to update the firmware while being charged so I did what it instructed.I'd say setup was about 10 minutes from the time to add to getting the firmware update. Maybe about a half hour longer or so for a full charge as it was at 50 percent out of the box.The charger.... It is kind of a let down as it has a much shorter cord compared to the one I had where the charger clipped on and the cord was longer. This one.... You need to find a USB extension cord or plug it into your laptop or desktop to charge it.Not really a deal breaker but some people may be turned off by the charging cord. And it's magnetic too, seems like the company is borrowing a charging technique from a popular company named after a fruit that has a watch that charges similar??I had a shower with it on and it seemed to be just fine, so the water resistance is as advertised, I don't swim often so I don't think I'll be going really deep under the sea , ocean or so forth.Overall, I am pleased with the tracker..And if you still have one of those Fitbit Zips, the one that had the watch battery , this is a welcome step up from that if you had one, and a welcome step up from the other monitors that did not have the HR... Fitbit did wonderful with this. And at a pretty affordable price. Wish they had options like this a long time ago.. but hey! Technology advances rapidly, right?

Ok, but not the best

While it has good features, I find it a bit fiddly to use. Especially difficult are using the side buttons. When my wrist is wet from exercise, I cant use the buttons to stop recording. I need to take off the tracker, dry it and then the buttons work. Having said that, it does record more information than my Charge 3 did and the long battery life means it only needs charging every now and again.

I ordered a fit bit in Sangria color for someone half way across the country. When it arrived it was some other color , hideous ! Packing for an electronics device was not protective and minimal. Now its return and wait. There are vauge return instructions on the wal mart app. Only option is FedEx. I have to ask my receiver to do the work to send it back. Now wait and hope the refund is actually given and all else goes fine.. Thoroughly peved at this whole mistake.
