It's a good game for a workout. It will teach you the basics but don't think it will make you an actual boxer. Nothing ca replace the actual thing.Gameplay is simple. You hold the joy cons in your hand and follow the screen. The most difficult thing will be dodging and ducking. You might have to give an extra shake for the controls to register the motion.Sound is simple. There's a few choices of songs but overall it's average. After a while you'll get use to it so you might have to spicy it up. I wear weighted gloves to make it more difficult as well as adding movement to it.If you aren't very active then I recommend this as a start

Fitness Boxing for the Switch is a great and fun workout. The exercises will start off easy and don't feel like much but the intensity can be increased, the song speed can be sped up and you can add more moves after the demos. All of these options help in creating a workout that suits the player. Although I have found this to be really fun I do have a couple of issues. The first is that the motion control feels a bit delayed, which can mess with the rhythm aspect of the program. Since it isn't really a game I can give it a pass but it is a little annoying. My other issue is that it can be a bit repetitive. The trainers do not have many lines and there are only 20 songs. Luckily the trainers and music can be muted if you wish.

First things first, I bought this game to get myself moving during the COVID-19 lockdown. I've been physically active for a few years now and I can say this still makes me feel like I'm getting a workout. I can feel it the next day, for sure. So, I would recommend this for anybody looking to sweat and move!I would give this product a 5-star rating. However, it has one flaw: not every punch or duck executed was registered by the joy-cons. I'd say less than 0.5% of the actions didn't register, but it's enough that it bugs me when it happens. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the game or with the hardware.Again, let me state that this game is fun and I would recommend for anyone wanting to stay active while stuck indoors. Fun game brings the fitness fun, Nintendo style
11 January 2019

Like in the days of Wii Fit, with a focus on challenging motion control boxing activity! Fun game to get you moving and inspire you to check in with daily goals. The music selection isn't really to my own personal taste, but turn it down and turn up your own tunes for your own personal enjoyment. You can challenge a friend in a virtual boxing ring too. Your arms will be soar the first few days, but worth pushing ahead and burning the calories. You can pick your own trainer and as you progress, more clothing items for them are unlocked (and more boxing combinations). The most activity you can get on your Switch right now. Wish they had a boxing glove accessory to put the Joy Cons in! It's a challenge, so do it!

Fun workout game

This game is actually a fun workout. It's replacing my current workout videos. The instructors are all neat and the music selection is current. The selection is short though, but you could always just mute the game and punch to your own soundtrack. The workouts do make you sweat, and you have the option to do daily workouts at 15,25,35,45 minutes. There is also a free workout where you can choose the intensity of your own workouts. Now the real question, does it replace a "true workout"? I don't believe so. It can give you some decent cardio, but if you are expecting more, that's kind of it. There's nothing that forces you to get Perfect hits, and it's up to you to push yourself. If you wouldn't consider any type of video workout a workout, then this isn't the ... MoreThis game is actually a fun workout. It's replacing my current workout videos. Great game for getting in some daily exercise
21 January 2019

Fitness boxing is a great way to get moving and incorporating exercise into your day.It does start out a little slow by getting you used to the basic moves. The best thing is getting the moves right and keeping form.I was worried about it getting easy or doing the same thing everyday. The daily workout changes just enough to stay challenging. There's also the option of free training after your daily workout. It does reccomend resting at least an hour between workouts.I a little put off when the moves don't register. I not sure if I'm not doing the movement wrong, could mostly likely be the case.I've used this program for about 2 weeks and I'm really happy. I've lost 3 pounds so far but that's with exercise and a change in diet habits. I have been avoiding this game forever and now I know why. Fan made quality

I have been avoiding this game forever and now I know why. Metroid Prime 2 was basically sported as an orginal game by Retro Studios compared the last game. Meaning Retro was able to make there own story using the Metroid Universe. Like the last game, a meteorite struck the planet and the ( Unmentioned ) Chrozo race on the planet are constantly at war with the beings that created a mirror of this planet. You basically just want to get off the planet, but you can't until you have solved the mystery of this world. Meanwhile Black Samus ( AKA Metroid Prime leftovers using Phanzon suit ) hopped a ride via a space pirate ship and caused the galactic federation unit to follow it down to the planet. Meanwhile Black Samus ( AKA Metroid Prime leftovers using Phanzon suit ) hopped a ride via a space pirate ship and caused the galactic federation unit to follow it down to the planet. Thus causing you to follow the unit. To make things even funnier about this game; they some how allowed for your suit to become stolen by black Samus; just by touring the dark world. This holds no flame to the previous game. This entire game is basically smoke and mirrors. Remember the intro to FFX? This is basically the same thing. For the person who wants more Metroid from Nintendo and not an fan made game. For some reason I think a fan made Metroid ( any fan made game ) would be better then this game. In fact this game is probably better then "Other-M" which butchered the Samus character. I just hope I could fight more Space Pirates and not weird looking creatures that are bland. I also do not like how they showed more of Samus face in the visor. This game is basically and add-on to the last game. Will we fight Ridley as in the last game? Is there an mother brain clone in this game? When do we get to the Space Pirates, no really when??? Why is it when I fall off an cliff, I magically regenerate and not just get transported to another area ( like the cliff I fell from ). Sometimes there are doors in this game that you walk through without warning so be careful of the path you use. What really bothers me is how the entire world is shrunken down to size. Of course I am talking about the doors. What is really funny about this game, while it is basically what I want ( MORE 3D METROID GAMING ). It is really really funny how the cover of this game have an holographic reflective look. Because without that, the cover looks like an futuristic sterling, euro, dollar bill or an id card. Otherwise I will have to see how this game goes along.

It's as good as you want to make it.

The music is ok and the rhythm/game aspect to it is fun. The biggest downfall is that it tells you to do jabs, straights, hooks, uppercut, etc... it does not actually recognize any of these moves. You could sit in a chair and shake the joy-con to get 100%. I play it for the exercise and I enjoy the challenge of trying to follow all the combos correctly. I expected the joy-con to be able to sense more of the motion but I truly enjoy it and I have gotten ton of exercise with it. I think that how much you enjoy it will depend on your personality and wether or not you are bothered by it not actually scoring what you're doing. Other than that it only has one stretch routine that it repeats every time you stretch and this seems like very lazy development to me. Stick to VR for fitness and games for switch
27 August 2021

It's very inaccurate. The latencies in controllers and it just doesn't match with the music so you would miss hits simply because of device error and not your motion. If you want fitness via games, I recommend going with Oculus Quest. One or two games of beatsaber on expert level and you'll be sweating, any fitness game on switch is just frustrating due to the misses when they're clearly hits.

There is a free demo which made me really want to try this full game out.Sadly with the full game there are a few issues:1) frame rate... normally people talk about the frame rate of games and I never notice a difference. In this game there are massive frame drops that make your instructor appear to teleport2) sometime the instructor is talking and the audio is missing. You can see the mouth move so you know it is supposed to be audio.3) sounds are mixed instrumentals with no words4) game feedback from the instructor is canned and in way reflects what you are actually doing. This is most appearant when throwing hooks. Sometimes the hook isn’t registered at all, sometimes the hook is registered as thrown halfway through the punch being completed
