Id say in day light looks more pink/purple but in darker days looks darker too.Closure system feels nice, pressure feels even over my foot.Footbed is quite hard though, I may need to get a softer one but that personal. Other May like the supplied ones.Quality lacks ever so slightly, having only worn them three times there is fraying of stiching around the BOA closure on the right shoe which is annoying.Overall, Id recommend them.

Yes they look like beetles wings in this colour.Yes they make me go faster (obviously)In all seriousness a light, stiff but comfortable and very well made. Very important for cleat setup to be spot on (plenty of videos on Youtube) First pair of shoes I've bought where once set up I can feel the power going from my legs through the shoe, pedal and directly to the rear wheel. So your pedalling is more precise, smoother and with real presence. Same for hills. You have to make sure your cleat release is spot on because if too tight you will never unclip. These are pro shoes.

Used to own the Fizik R5 where theres a Boa dial and a velcro to tighten the fitting. This R4 only have 1 Boa dial without any other velcros, hence it was hard to obtain a snug fit. Both my R5 and R4 are of the same size and the R5 fitted perfectly and R4 was more loose.On the up side, the colour is beautiful... simply beautiful
Bought about a month ago, find these very comfortable on long and short rides.I've previously used size 49e Shimano RC-7 previous to the current models on sale with Sigma, which were wide and very stiff. I purchased these shoes in size 48 and they come up slightly wider which gives more comfort for longer rides. They aren't as stiff but then they aren't flexy either. A good all round shoe which seems pretty true to size when you use Fizik's sizing chart. Can't really comment on longevity of quality as only owned for a month. Only thing that would be better would be two dials rather than the one and the price is high.
