I tried so many pairs of wide fit shoes on a money no object basis for my ‘hobbit’ feet and these are by far the best with room to wriggle my toes :) and also plenty of room in the heel cup (lake we’re not so good in this respect). Also half sizes were available for an absolute Goldilocks like me. My only criticism of these shoes is that they are material on the sides and as such are suited to fair weather cycling or zwifting. Overall a great shoe and service from sigma!

Comfortable shoes for long rides. Good looking and stiff enough. My feet have high arches, narrow heels and a very wide forefoot with almost non-tapering toes. A perfect fitting cycling shoe seems impossible to find, but these are close. The toe box feels roomier and more flexible compared to similar sized lake cx237 wide and shimano rp9 wide. Good heel retention, but would be nice with a second boa or a strap at the front. I would size down half a size from shimano/giro. Overall a great shoe. Competitive price and fast shipping from Sigmasports too!

This is my first cycling shoe with a BOA enclosure. The shoe is comfortable and the BOA does an excellent job of securing your foot in the shoe. The strap at the front of the shoe is kind of superfluous. I would have given this shoe five stars, but the durability is a question mark for me. I had a pretty rough crash, and well, the shoe did not fare too well. It's still serviceable, but the upper was very easily abraded by the asphalt, and there was a rather big gouge taken out of the weld/midsole of the shoe. Regardless, you're probably not a dumb dumb like me, so more often than not it will perform well, and the price is right.

Had the shoes around 4 weeks now and have completed around 400 miles, so early days. I was concerned when ordering about size, however I am a size 9 U.K. every time and went for 43.5 (9 1/4 apparently). Shoes fit perfectly which saved any repacking and sending back. Shoes are not as soft uppers of last pair (specialized) however I had them years and cannot remember how the felt first months. I’m convinced they will soften up. Very comfy and seem solid enough soles although I’m no expert in this. Overall Very happy with shoes all round and the fit is spot on.
Never had Fizik stuff before so want sure about fit.I sit between UK 12-13 so went for the EU 48.They fit perfectly, seem like a standard width, not too narrow.I've had trouble with narrow cycling shoes but these are great. The quality of the finish is fantastic.Nice and stiff sole. The Boa closing system is brilliant and gives a nice snug fit.Great price and fast delivery from Sigma.
There aren't many options out there for those of us with boxy feet but i'm happy to have found these. For comparison sake, I also own a pair of Fiziks' own Terra X5 SPD shoes in a 42. These are comfortable, but on the limits of what my feet will fit into. My little toes always feel squashed in somehow. With these though, there's plenty of wiggle room! (Maybe even too much?) So, I would say they could benefit from a second dial or strap nearer to the front to get a snugger fit. In my case I tested 2 sizes and came away happier with the smaller 41.5 size, the extra width no doubt allowing this. The shoes themselves aren't any wider than normal around the heel area, but I like how they've used a softer fabric on the inside heel to prevent them from rubbing your ... MoreThere aren't many options out there for those of us with boxy feet but i'm happy to have found these. For comparison sake, I also own a pair of Fiziks' own Terra X5 SPD shoes in a 42. It's not usually a problem for me but it's a nice touch. One final note is on the cleat hole positions, they are quite far back which may be a problem for some but as with all shoes it a personal thing. So overall they're just short of perfect, but with the limited choice available, you will be mostly happy, as I am. I've also added a pic for comparison. The left shoe is the Fizik X5 and the right shoe is the Overcurve R4 Wide as reviewed here.
Bought to replace Torch 3.0 that were a touch too narrow. I've got fairly normal sized feet but with a slightly prominent 5th MTPJ, low height forefoot, slim heel/ankle (like many people). Other "wide" shoes are much too large overall volume in the forefoot. The Fizik's are a superb last shape in the forefoot with plenty of space / width where needed, but nice tight fit around the heel. Put it next to your foot; it actually looks the same shape; unlike 90% of other cycling shoes! 45 Length identical to the 45 Specialized; accurately sized for a 45 IMO. Nicely made, no complaints.Cleat position slightly rearward compared to the (overly narrow) R1s I owned previously; which is perfect (bike fitter absolutely despised prior Fizik shoes for that very reason). ... MoreBought to replace Torch 3.0 that were a touch too narrow. Classique black a nice, more practical alternative to White. Single Boa works surprisingly well, but two would be ideal to enable the heel to be tightened right down independently of the rest of the foot. Sole not obviously any less stiff than the "carbon composite" in the Torch 3.0s, but definitely less than the R1's. Of no relevance to me though. These but with 2 Boas & a carbon composite sole (relevant for marketing purposes only really) and Fizik would absolutely clean up at this price-point.
I have really struggled to find a pair of cycling shoes that were comfortable for my wide feet. Normally they are described as wide but are only marginally wider that the very narrow normal shoes! These arrived and I was delighted to find that they fit perfectly and feet are no longer uncomfortably squashed. Going to get another pair in the iridescent finish now I know that they fit.
This is the most comfortable shoes I have ever had so far. I have wide feet and were using regular size shoes before. It was always really tied and not comfortable, some times causing my feet to sleep. Then I decided to test this wide shoes, and it is a completely game change for me. Finally I have a comfortable shoes that allows my feet to breath and helps me to transfer power without sufferings.Best shoes I tested so far.If you have wide feet, go with it. If you have regular feet, they have a regular size version for this as well. No brain.I usually wear 10 US size for regular/ running shoes. I decided to go with a slight smaller size for this one and got the 9.75 US (43), and it was perfect.
Bought about a month ago, find these very comfortable on long and short rides.I've previously used size 49e Shimano RC-7 previous to the current models on sale with Sigma, which were wide and very stiff. I purchased these shoes in size 48 and they come up slightly wider which gives more comfort for longer rides. They aren't as stiff but then they aren't flexy either. A good all round shoe which seems pretty true to size when you use Fizik's sizing chart. Can't really comment on longevity of quality as only owned for a month. Only thing that would be better would be two dials rather than the one and the price is high.
