I really like how the portafilter floor is easily adjustable by popping on and off, in order to align spouts. However, I would not recommend that people use the standard basket that comes with the Flair 58, as I feel it noticeably more difficult to remove from the 3-in-1 portafilter for two reasons:1) it just feels more stuck in the 3-in-12) the tapered bottom of the portafilter (to accommodate the easy switching of floor) gets in the way of pressing on the basket to dislodge itStick with baskets that have uniform walls

This portafilter does exactly what you need it to do. The bottom does tapper in, so you are limited on what size basket you can use, but I have a 19g basket and had no problem. You are also able to replace the handle with the one that comes on the standard flair.

Everything is fine, I just recommend adding a tool to separate the bottom part. The example of using a coin does not work and damaged the lower part. A competing product from Normcore has a little helper that works great.

Works great, but if you’re a newb (like me) you might miss the memo on the friction-fit floor. If you want the spouts to fall parallel to the front of the machine, you’ll almost certainly need to pop the floor and rotate it.Background … when I first put the double-spout on my unit, it fell perfectly perpendicular to the handle, which means the spouts were off at 45 degrees when loading the Flair 58. The way the spout is threaded, it always goes back to the same position, so I was initially bummed, but only because I had no idea that the floor of the portafilter pops off. So, once I went back to Flair’s website and had my aha moment, I popped it off, loaded the portafilter as bottomless, and then popped it back on in the position you’d want where the spouts are ... MoreWorks great, but if you’re a newb (like me) you might miss the memo on the friction-fit floor. I see excellent brews on the horizon though as my knowledge increases.VERY VERY happy that I chose the Flair first before moving up to something like a Decent or other high-end machine. You obviously can’t help but literally “get the feel” of making espresso with a lever machine. I will likely add a PID kit in the future, which might result in just sticking with the Flair and spending thousands on other things than fancier espresso machines. Time will tell.
Much heavier/better quality than I expected. Perfect for the jealous spouse that also wants espresso - love the double spout! Glad I purchased.
After Flair updated the insert for the portafilter on the Flair58, the 3-in-1 portafilter no longer sets properly, so the double spout cannot be used--the entire reason for my purchase. It is angled as a result (as opposed to parallel with the lever), so two espresso cups will not fit underneath. Do not waste your money purchasing this.
I quite like this portafilter, it’s definitely good quality but it’s not 100% well thought! The handle could have options for matching the wood on the Flair, for example. Also the spouts being adjustable to the unique angle of the machine, makes it a bit finicky to balance on the counter when prepping the puck.
The 3-in-1 portafilter is nice overall. The bottom is very hard to unscrew so it's more kinda 2-in-1.Also can't say it really divides the 2 espressos equally but it's still nice.I wish the handle was wooden like the other handles. The flair basket doesn't sit 100% properly if you don't apply a lot of force to put it In.The build is good though.
My portafilter bottom was stuck. I had to unstuck it by hitting it with a hammer. Then putting it back in was impossible, i put 80kg on it and it wouldn't go back in. I had to bend the steel wire that hold it in place to give it more room in order for it to be able to go back inside. Clearly it was never quality tested, no human could have possible opened it by hand as shown in the video.
This is exactly what I needed for splitting shots or just running bottomless to check for flow/channeling. Item is as descibed. Solidly built. A+
