How does Fleurstat BVgel work? Fleurstat BVgel is not an antibiotic. Fleurstat BVgel works to treat BV by disrupting the attachment of BV-causing bacteria to the vaginal lining. The recommended dose is one applicator full (equivalent to 5g) vaginally once daily, preferably at bedtime, for 7 days. It is important to complete all 7 doses, even if your symptoms go away. You do not need a prescription for Fleurstat BVgel, but you need to ask your pharmacist or doctor if this treatment is right for you.
