Flexi Neon Cord Retractable Lead

Some of you might have seen our most recent email a week or so ago highlighting some changes for the launch of this bar! The survey feedback you all provided was helpful for the actual chocolate, but also helpful for the format it's sold in! Below is an image of the results from the question "What quantity would you prefer the bars were sold?" Over 41% of all survey respondents said they wanted a 3-pack! So we heard you, listened to your wishes and will be selling our Salted Caramel Crunch in a 3-pack instead of our standard 6-pack. It's our hope that this helps with individuals that want to try the product first before committing to a larger quantity. BABY HANDS!!

Needed a shorter leash for city walking and wanted it to be retractable (my dog gets tangled up a lot in regular leashes). I had bought regular flexi leashes before and liked them well enough. To get a shorter leash length, I had to get flexi's XS size. My dog is only 20 lbs and fairly calm, so worked fine with flexi's suggested size range.Leash showed up today and the entire leash including the handle is so tiny it's almost unusable. I could only fit two fingers into the hand hold (three if I really squished them) and the lock/retract mechanism felt very flimsy. From stressful walks to relaxed walks

My dogs are pullers. Seven years in and the spaniel/beagle nose still controls their desire to explore every nook of the park. Walking them wasn't really fun because I'd end up with a sore arm and hands. I tried this lead after my daughter switched to it for her spaniel. Amazing. Allowing my dogs to wander that 5m away from me to sniff some irresistible smell, then catch up when they saw me moving too far ahead for comfort has been a game changer. I think I actually saw them smile at me when we first tried it out. Now I'm taking one dog at a time for a walk on alternate days through the week. A win-win. More exercise for all three of us!

Great for my big lab

I bought the large for my 30kg lab with untrusted recall. It's great for training, but I've also used it at the beach, on hikes etc. About 9 months later the buttons are getting a bit stiff, but I've smashed this thing at the beach, daily, for months and had to wash the cord multiple times. It stops my lab running off and it's great for letting him have a sniff when on a walk. I use this 1-2 times a day, in all weather. I'm going to try and open it up and see if I can clean it out, but even if the buttons are a bit stiff, it could be because my lab launched himself into some slimy pond water after a duck. Even though I haven't had it for long, I'm honestly surprised I haven't broken it yet because we are rough on this lead. I don't trust it. Does not use the same tape as Flexi Giant

On LEFT side of picture is Flexi Neon Size L. On RIGHT side of picture is a well used Flexi Giant Size L.I gave 1 star because the Flexi Neon tape does not seem like very good quality compared to the Flexi Giant. The Flexi Neon tape is less wide and less thick than the Flexi Giant, even though they are both size L. The Flexi Neon tape feel sorta flimsy and plastic. While my dog doesn't pull that much on leash, I still do not trust the Flexi Neon tape because I think it would break after one mistake of him trying to chase a bunny.I've been using the Flexi Giant size L for my 58lb Standard Poodle for about a year now and we LOVE IT. I bought the Flexi Neon because it has the 16ft length and I was hoping that the quality of the tape would be as good as the Flexi Giant. Unfortunately it is not.If your dog makes any mistakes during your walks, such as chasing animals, I would not recommend the Flexi Neon. I would definitely recommend the Flexi Giant as long as your dog doesn't chew on it and doesn't consistently sprint to the end of the tape.

Poor design

I loved the Flexi with my mid-size dog so I choose these for my two 6lb, toy sized dogs. I'm finding them horrible to use. While the clasp and gauge size of the leash is appropriate for small dogs, the handle is the sized for a child. During every walk, at least once, when the dogs get to then end of the leash they jerk the handle out of my hand. If you're walking only 1 dog this would probably be fine but w/ two I find them more of a frustration than benefit. Also, the gauge of the cord is very thin. I've only used the leashes 3 times but I suspect the cords will break soon. Overall a poorly designed leash for a toy sized dog.

Quality product that works for a loooooong time!

I like the Flexi brand retractable leashes, as they have proven to be quality products. I'm not sure however that I like the redesign of the handle on the leash. I have leashes that I purchased 22 years ago, and I prefer the comfort of the older handle design over the current updated version.The older handle is flat on the sides and better allows you to hold two leashes in one hand if that is needed, and for me that definitely is needed. Even holding just one leash in one hand doesn't seem as comfortable with the new design as with the old design, and the balance of the leash seems a bit awkward with the new or current design.That being said, if you've never owned a Flexi brand leash, and you're looking for a QUALITY product, you'll be TOTALLY SATISFIED with your ... MoreI like the Flexi brand retractable leashes, as they have proven to be quality products. Workhorse of a product

I admit, my 20-ish-pound gremlin didn't probably need me to pick up the L-sized version of this product--but given how it drives me batty how many dog owners in my area (and especially at my local park) just let their dogs off their leash whenever they feel like it, I was determined to not be the That Guy of a dog owner--while also at least having the option of letting my dog roam a bit further afield than a conventional leash, where appropriate. The retraction mechanism in this leash works great, providing dependable and effective maintenance of steady retraction force--enough that the dog knows it's there and the leash is kept off of the ground, but not so much that the dog has to labor mightily to extend it (pint-sized monster or no). For those who've never used a retractable leash before, though, be sure to heed the warnings on the package: they are not a fool-proof product (this goes for all items in the category--not just this one), and the possibility of injury if used inappropriately/carelessly is not remote--particularly in the realm of friction burns/edge cuts and tripping. (I haven't been harmed by mine, but there've been a few moments that could've gone sour if I'd not exercised intentional caution.) There are some dogs that also wend around their humans too much for something with tension like this to be a good idea, unless you enjoy taking your walks trussed up like a Christmas duck. All in all, I'm happy with mine. I didn't see the little branded clip-on add-on doodad (for poop bags and the like) available at my store, but that's fine--I am an inveterate wearer of Things With Pockets, so I can manage without. It probably would've been an overpriced little piece of plastic anyway.

it’s wonderful!

I bought it in 2017 and it only got damaged now in 2023.I bought a different brand in another store to replace it and returned it because nothing was good, despite the comments. That was this year.I didn't remember where I had bought the old one, in this case this one and I looked until I found it here.I'm going to buy the same one for the excellent experience I had from 2017 to 2023. It retracts very well and quickly, I never had a problem with tangles or having to pull to get it right. I walk well with my dog, at least 30 minutes a day, and there are days when we walk for 1 hour.We walk in big places and he has all the freedom of movement. love it! so far so good

Finally after a year of leash training my cats, we were finally able to advance to a retractable leash! It went very smooth! I got the small size, 26 feet for the babies. They do great on it. It was a little rocky for the first couple days because they kept getting caught on things but I think we have a little system going. I’m able to hold both leashes in one hand (my hands aren’t very big) and easily toggle between the buttons after a little practice. We had just a non-retractable rope leash prior to this retractable one. I had previously gotten a ‘Tug’ retractable one earlier in their training but at the time they weren’t ready; comparing those two retractable leashes, my personal opinion, this FLEXI leash by far is wayyyy better.
