Love it. Wouldn't go with out. it ticks all the boxes for me, looks, durability, functionality, leads, case.

I bought this from Fluke agent in Qatar. After a year I realized that the unit is giving unrealistic readings with related to the loop impedance and PSC values. Aslo after few loop tests, the unit started giving overheating error. Then I gave this to the Fluke agent in Qatar and they got it repaired from Fluke UK workshop which took 6 months.Although Fluke UK repaired the unit (which is still under warranty), the unit is still having the same problem.Apart from loop impedance (hi current and no tripping mode), the unit works perfectly for all the other measurements. But after paying for a premium product like this, it is unacceptable that I can not get accurate readings for loop testing which is a vital test in electrical testing.

Having a 1653 for years and harsh environments- naturally thought the top of the range would be a sound investment.Lead failures, tester failures and a memory and Bluetooth system that is a gimmick and not used after about 5minutes novelty

I bought the 1664 after using the 1653 for a few years. After receiving it I took it to get independently calibrated as the results I was getting were inconsistent to the point I felt I needed to get it checked out. The fluke came with a calibration cert from fluke. I took it to re-cal in Manchester and they verified that there was an issue with the tester. I contacted fluke who advised I needed to pay for the carriage which was £50! I got the tester back after about 2 weeks and luckily I had kept my old tester as a spare, which is something I shouldn’t have to do after spending £1200 on a tester. Needless to say it’s had issues over the past three years I’ve had it and I’ve given up. I’ve moved over to di-log for all my testing equipment and the past two years haven’t had a single issue with their products! They are much cheaper than fluke and I feel they are more reliable, my frequent cal card results are spot on each time! For anyone looking at getting a reliable tester at a decent price try di-log in Manchester. Fluke I’m sorry but you have lost my trust in your products and eventually out 9 remaining fluke testers will be phased out and di-log now have our custom! Fluke charge a ridiculous amount for their products and their customer service is similar to McDonald’s!
Absolutely fantstic bit of kit 👌
I am a self employed electrician. The meter is excellent providing test results much faster than the megger I previously used. The software and user manual provided on CD do not work with a MAC but I was able to download a useable manual for my MAC.The DMS software package unfortunately is useless to me as I have no intention of buying a windows PC. However I already use iCertify which is more than capable of satisfying the certification needs I require.
I bought this tester (1664 FC) 3 years ago. I cannot now zero the leads and have been informed by fluke it has to be returned for repair (ERR1). I haven’t even enquired about a quote because wouldn’t you know, it’s just out of warranty. It may seem like a small issue but it becomes very inconvenient when you have to test the leads after every continuity test, because even the leads don’t have consistent readings. You expect products to eventually stop working but when you pay £1700 for a tester you’d expect it to last longer than 3 years. Honestly I would happily use any other competitor.
I needed to upgrade my Fluke 1664FC to the latest standards, but having contact fluke they want £293+VAT + carriage to update the software/firmware, without the upgrade, having spent over £1000 for 1664FC in September 2021, will be unusable. Also the memory store function is not very user friendly, compared to the old models.I have used Fluke instruments for over 50 years, but not anymore
I bought this about 3 years ago, test probe stoped working gave inaccurate readings. Contacted fluke out of warranty .very inaccurate readings.
Unfortunately, after very little use my Fluke 1664FC has stopped being able to provide reliable continuity measurements. I get off-scale readings when the leads are connected together or connected to a proving unit, to a variety of inconsistent readings on the next few presses of the button. I also get odd error codes which all leads to not being able to trust that the instrument can be relied upon to carry out the job.
