I looked at various aquarium lights before buying this one and I am very impressed with what I bought. The unit works via a smart phone app, and is really easy to set up. You can basically use either manual, auto, or pro mode. Manual is controlled immediately through the app and allows you to change the light intensities by the press of a button, Auto sets up a 24 hour cycle with on and off times of your choosing, with a dawn / dusk transition of however gradual or long you want these to take. Easy Peasy to fit it into the old fluorescent light tube holder, and the app was also very easy to set up and use. There are also some very useful guides on You tube from pro fish-keepers who talk you through the best settings for your type of tank.The unit appears to be well made, and looks like it will be robust and long lasting.Only 4 stars for 2 reasons though :-1) The light was not quite as bright as I was expecting. It is fine for a general tank with undemanding plants, but if you are growing any plants that need high light levels then look at an alternative.2) The light throws out at 120 degrees from the fitting. Although this sounds a lot, there was a distinct shadow line across the back of the tank where no light reached which looked unsightly. Luckily I used some small submersible LED tubes to supplement my old fluorescent lights, so I just twisted / turned them more towards the back glass to overcome this, but it may be a problem with tall plants or scenic backdrops.

These risers are great! They hold their place well and barely move when touched, making them very stable. I did have an issue where I was sent the wrong ones. I was given the risers for the marine 3.0, but I had reached out to the seller and showed them my situation, and within the same day they had already sent out the correct one! Great item, helps illuminate the last couple of inches at the top of my aquarium, allowing for perfect view all of my fish. Would definitely recommend!

Rubbish communication. \nContacted seller on 11th July asking if a custom order was possible & was advised they would see what they could do & get back to me. Having heard nothing I followed up on 26 August & 3 days later got an apology & was again advised they’d draw something up. September 3rd I followed up again & as yet, September 28 still no reply. \nIf you can’t or don’t want to do something, be honest about it instead of messing people around. \nIn the meantime I ordered these hoping they would do what I needed, their short versions were fine but these tall ones were unstable, one small knock caused them to fall over taking my light with them & ended up breaking the light. \nWill not be using this seller or their products again.

Looks great in my marine tank .. although not bright enough for hard corals, this is fine for softies. All Zoas have opened and love it.Plenty of settings to play around with and the pro settings should suit everyone …. It’s not the easiest light to program, but once done it’s great. At 33 watts, the light costs under a quarter to run than my lessons and primes. I am going to get another one of these for second tank …… well done FluvalSmart

Fluval Aquasky 2.0 LED Bluetooth Lighting

I have a Fluval Roma 240 and it turns out that the light that came with the tank is actually not an Aquasky but it uses the same app. So I wanted to buy the proper Aquasky to go alongside my original light. The original light is 24w and the Aquasky is 33w. It is very notcably brighter and my plants have already started growing more. As it uses the same app it does all the different featues available in the app, like setting different schedules and effects. I'm very happy wih it and it seems a lot better made than the light that came with my tank. It also has more PAR for those that are interested in knowing that.

Light works, but is too thin and short, not enough light for my tank. Seller is top notch, product....not so much. Program works well and allows for total control of the anemic lighting. I will be getting the Hygger 016 as a replacement with a longer body for my 30" tank. Beware the size constraints of the Fluval. At least the price was fantastic and shipping was excellent.

I did get a pop-up indicating that their was a firmware update available, downloaded & installed with no problems. The light is very easy to use and extremely flexible, it has three modes that are controlled from the phone applications, manual, automatic and pro. Previously I have been purchasing the $50 China cheapies for my aquariums which were only lasting 12 to 18 months and did not perform as stated in their specifications. very impressive 25W aquaskys

very pleased with my pair of 25W aquaskys added to 7ft tank and linked control as one.The manual mode is same as original but on app not controller. The auto mode is very good, allowing sunrise and daytime followed by sunset, great for gently starting lights without making fish jump etc. Great led for low level plants id say. Its also great that u can control the colour levels of the leds , ie you can lower blue during daytime to help stop dreaded algae. For me 2 lights is about right for a 7x2x2 tank not silly bright but very good and gives good coverage of the whole tank. really wasnt sure it would be enough light when i ordered but very happy.
