I love my Scarlet. I needed something small and simple to take on the road with me. Simplicity was very important to me. This package was perfect. I wasn't sure about the headphones when I ordered this package but I ended up using them for going on the road and leaving my Sennheisers safe at home. There is a Focusrite software package you download and walks you through a simple set-up, but you don't really need to do that. It connected to the audio program on my computer without the software. It also gives you several app options to choose from within the website, but again, you don't have to use any of those programs if you like something different. I am currently using a different microphone than the one that comes in the package, but the Scarlet Studio condenser mic works VERY well for the price and I will probably end up taking this mic on the road as well. I couldn't have asked for a simpler usb interface and package deal. I definitely recommend this product. The ONLY reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is I haven't had it long enough to know how durable this brand is. This is my first Focusrite product and I'm loving it so far!

I've been a fan of focusrite products for years now and just recently upgraded to the 3rd generation package. The mic is solid and very clear especially for someone just beginning to record music. The interface is powerful and small enough to move around too. It's a great setup especially if you're mobile with your setup. It's easy to set up, you just plug it in and go. I cant say much about the headphones since I haven't acquired them yet but it's a really solid setup.

It looks like a "pro interface" made of metal. I don't give a 5 stars not because of the interface it is because de DAW's that it includes in this package I could download from their website however I couldn't run perfectly on my PC, actually those DAW's never run, I'm working with Reaper and with this DAW runs perfect. So, definitely I recommend this interface, but if I knew it I just purchased the item without the DAW's for less price and to get the DAW by my own.

3 Stars to Focusrite itself. 1) Audio Interface is clicking all the time and no matter what kinda sample rate or buffer size you choose 2) Headphones are totally uncomfortable. It's impossible to wear it more than 15 minutes. 10 out of 10b to Musicmajlis Team.
I am a novice when using interfaces and guitar. The interface arrived promptly and was a good price. The set up is quite straight forward and there are video tutorials on how to get started. However, you really do need proper headphones or monitor speakers which need to be attached directly to the interface. Using a bluetooth speaker causes latency despite reducing sample and buffer size and my external speaker didn’t really work either. Overall good but quite particular about how you can listen to yourself play.
For those who want to begin recording vocals or recording instruments, this bundle is a great introduction. The microphone included in this bundle is the Scarlett CM25 Microphone which is a large diaphragm condenser microphone which has a cardioid pickup pattern. This means that from the front of the microphone the condenser capsule picks up audio from the front going to either side of the microphone, rejecting sounds from the back of the capsule. For the price, the microphone offers a crisp and clear audio quality and captures a wide range of sounds very well. For those looking to mount the microphone, included is stand adapter with a variety of threads built into the microphone mount. Last, we have the XLR cable which connects the microphone to the audio interface. This cable is a full XLR cable with both ends being male to female ends. The cable is durable and feels very well-built. The cable offers a great length which allows for room to play with when it comes to routing options. Overall, this bundle is a great options for those wanting to start careers with podcasting and instrument recording.
I am just getting started. I installed this as well as Reaper, and Bias FX 2. Followed the instructions from FocusRite and went to internet as well. I did not use the Protools or Ableton. I am still in the learning phase. My computer is a Dell with an i3 processor and a standard hard drive. The hard drive can interfere with the audio. I moved the input to the rear of the computer and it eliminated a lot of "popping" induced by the spinning HDD. I would recommend a better processor and a solid state drive to try. I am enjoying it, and my improvement in playing guitar is audible.
This is a great little starter kit. I'm doing some audiobook recording and my old mic and set up was not up to the task. While I don't have a lot of money to spend on high-end equipment right now, the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio has everything I currently need. It is a simple USB plug in unit with some wonderful features which help reduce sibilance (the Air button). I have noticed that I have to do very little post-production on the sound so I am very pleased with that. There is also a second socket for a guitar or other instrument (which I don't need), but I reckon it would work well for a travelling musician. The condenser mic is very good and, provided you use it correctly (just speak into the logo, I find), you get a minimum off room noise, which is amazing ... MoreThis is a great little starter kit. Definitely recommend this as a great starter.
There I experience a cut-off in the signal after a a couple of seconds, I.e., recording holding a tone for multiple seconds is not really possible. I might miss some setup steps, but so far recording high gained solos seems a bit difficult wit this interface. The clean recording so far so good.
I am glad to be the owner of this device. This is my first external sound card, and as a beginner, I have enough inputs and functionality. I cannot judge the power of the card or its reliability, as this is a whole new world for me anyway. Pros: - the ability to test and download some DAWs, plugins and tools for free - nice price - design Minuses: - no "USB-C - USB-C" cable - unified volume control for headphones and speakers
