This little device can alter your voice in real-time. It has 4 preset settings for voice effects that can all be tweaked by the user (low, mid, high frequency). Gain is more than sufficient. A to D converters are solid. Settings are simple to understand and easy to configure. It has the right sophistication level to have more options than the vanilla capture device but not confusing if you get cross-eyed looking at a professional capture device.

I do live remote reports for a radio station, I was using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo but it fell short for my use: I ended up needing a Cloudlifter for a low level on my RE-20 mic, I could only control the mic volume with the volume control ,but audio leaked through anyway when the control was at zero, so I used the 48v switch as a cough switch, and the mic connection was on the front of the box making an awkward looking connection. Also the feed from the radio station was a mix-minus feed to prevent feedback so I couldn't hear my mic mixed with the air feed,The Vocaster One solved all these issues. It also glows in bright red so you know when the mute switch is activated, a good feature. My only minor gripe is at $200 I think it's overpriced but if money is no ... MoreI do live remote reports for a radio station, I was using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo but it fell short for my use: I ended up needing a Cloudlifter for a low level on my RE-20 mic, I could only control the mic volume with the volume control ,but audio leaked through anyway when the control was at zero, so I used the 48v switch as a cough switch, and the mic connection was on the front of the box making an awkward looking connection. The only superior feature of this audio interface is its XLR mic pre-amp and auto-gain functionality. The rest of it is very mediocre for the price. The omission of a control knob for headphone level is ridiculous. Failure to support iPhones is also ridiculous for a 'podcasting' target audience. Now it's just shelfware to make room for better audio interfacing peripherals on our computers.
