I've always wanted a classic-looking golf shoe, but because my feet are broader and I've had foot difficulties with ankle and toe reconstruction surgery, I've always assumed that those types of traditional, classic-looking golf shoes would be too hard on my feet. All of that changed when I discovered the Footjoy Traditions golf shoe collection. I'm blown away by how light and comfortable these shoes are on my feet, not to mention looking like a million bucks. The shoes are wonderfully cushioned and flexible, and walking in them feels like walking on cloud nine, but with a touch of elegance! These shoes are the real stuff, with full-grain leather and soft spikes to grip and assist in my swing, and I can't wait to play more rounds in them. Thank you, Footjoy, for ... I have played about 10 rounds in these using a cart. Every single time, I leave the course with aching feet and some sort of blister on my foot. I made sure these shoes fit as perfectly as they could, yet I still experience these issues. There is no heel support at all, so no matter how snug your foot is, your heel will slide and you will get heel blisters. My most recent time wearing them, I walked, and I got a massive blister on my heel. I reached out to their customer support about this issue, and all they could offer was that I send the shoes back, and they will send me a new pair of my choice of equal or lesser value. The turnaround time is 4-6 weeks, so I will have to wait up to 6 weeks to see if the new pair will actually fit and be comfortable. I even ... MoreI have played about 10 rounds in these using a cart. I am sure they have some amazing products, but I am going to be looking elsewhere, very dissatisfied with my experience thus far.

I have always bought FootJoy. They are more expensive but for the amount of time I spend playing in wet conditions the extra cost is well worth it.No arguments with FJ about the comfort of the new shoe which is exceptional. My issue is the look and the grip.I had a look on the FJ website and couldn't see an alternative in a 'traditional' style. I purchased them from my club pro who had to order my colour and size in. When they arrived I was sooo disappointed. I look like I'm wearing a hovercraft on each foot in brilliant white.Played several rounds in them now and my opinion about the look hasn't changed. Met my Dad today at Cavendish and he has independently purchased the same pair in blue/white. He is nearly 80 and he too looks ridiculous! My second issue is ... MoreI have always bought FootJoy. The 'studs' aren't particularly prominent and the sole offers no extra grip. Between November and March our club is either wet or closed so a decent amount of grip is essential. The Traditionals don't offer very much grip at all and I'm sliding all over the place.Maybe I purchased the wrong shoe but the choice is very limited in a traditional golf shoe from FJ.I would like to buy FJ traditional style golf shoes again but the grip needs to improve and please change the sole to a 'traditional' black plastic sole. Thanks, Guy

So right out of the box I was impressed with how light this shoe was along with the quality of materials. Also really liked the traditional saddle look to this shoe. Normally, I buy spikeless shoes as I always walk when I play golf so wasn't sure about soft spikes walking on different types of terrain. I spent an hour or so walking around the house warming them up to get ready for my round the following day. Played 18, walked and really was impressed with how comfortable these shoes are right out of the box. Size wise they lean slightly toward a larger fit but did stick my standard size. The soft spikes had no noticeable effect when walking. All in all this is a real win, lighter shoe for walking, great old school looks, quality build and nice materials. Thanks Footjoy.
I love this new golf shoe from Footjoy. I was a previous owner of two pairs of Dryjoys. I loved them and they lasted about 6 years each before giving into wet grass water deterioration of the shoe/sole seam. This new Traditions shoe is every better than the Dryjoys because it is much lighter, and the sole configuration is spongy. It really feels good to walk in these shoes, and even better than my high-end Net Balance tennis shoe for golf.I don't know how long they will last with wet grass conditions (and, I do clean my shoes off after every game), but if I even get 2-3 years out of them, I will continue to buy this model of shoe once again because of the light and spongy feeling.I also prefer the Pulsar cleats that come with this Traditions shoe versus the ... Pulsar does not collect nearly as much dry grass clippings during the round and is therefore easier to cleanup.
I bought footjoy because of their stellar reputation.Firstly, out the box the shoes look great. Exactly the quality and finish I would expect from FJ. One thing I did find a bit unusual was the lack of grip on the shoes outside of the spikes. If you loose a spike you will need to replace it ASAP as there is literally nothing else on the bottom of the shoe. When I put them on they felt good. Within one hole I completely regretted not bringing my old shoes with me. The shoes gave me incredible pain in my right arch to the point where I had to completely remove the insole to make it bearable to finish the round. To say my feet were crippled is an understatement. I'm not sure why but the shoes have a ridiculously high arch on them. I ended up swapping my insoles from ... I'm not sure why but the shoes have a ridiculously high arch on them. I ended up swapping my insoles from my old shoes to these ones which helped a bit.Since this I have actually noticed several comments on line saying the same problem. Not sure why such an established brand would make such an uncomfortable shoe. All I can say is it will likely be the first and last pair of FJs I own. Such a disappointment, they look like a Ferrari and drive like an old fiesta.
I have worn saddle oxfords for many years and it has become increasingly difficult to find these shoes, black and white, from other manufacturers. I had originally hoped to purchase the classic golf shoe style with a street sole. Unfortunately, I learned that Foot Joy no longer offers a special order street sole option. I was disappointed. Then in my on-line chat I was introduced to this shoe a possible replacement for a traditional casual street shoe Oxford. I love the look and the comfort and received several compliments the first time I wore these shoes. Thank you Foot Joy.
I'm a 73 year old avid golfer. Over the years I've accumulated approximately 40 pairs of golf shoes, most of which made by FootJoy. Needless to say I did not NEED another pair of shoes! However when I initially saw these it brought back memories of days gone by.....but not for golfing purposes (although they could be)! Bought these to wear with jeans, khakis etc.Loved them upon receipt. Fit great ( as always) felt great, looked great! First several times wearing them got numerous positive responses! In summary sometimes WANT wins over NEED and in this case I'm thrilled it did!
I wanted something for the summer hence the spikeless version and really want something that did not looked like trainers. These Traditions ticked all those boxes and more. Took them to spain un worn so was a little worried how they would perform with regard to comfort No need to worry. Straight out of the box and onto the course...weather was quite hot but the performed fantastically. No hot spots on my feet and drove home with them as well. They are great and very happy with the purchase. So if you want something that looks very sharp, performs great and extremely comfortable then look no further...these are them!
Lemme start off by saying, these Traditions - Wing Tips are legit. I live in Honolulu and they hold up and look really nice on the course/conditions out here. I'm 6ft, 195lbs in shape and I'm a true 11. This shoe length runs true as well. My foot is normal/standard width, so I was at odds when it came to selecting the width of this shoe (Too many choices Footjoy). I figured "narrow" would be really narrow, the medium would be standard, and wide and extra wide would be just that. So I went with medium, and they were a bit too wide. Even when I look down they appear wider than a standard shoe. Some of my golf buddies made the same comment "Oh they look a bit wide". So I'm assuming "Narrow" is the normal width? Footjoy...you guys care to chime in on this?
