FOREO UFO Mini Smart Mask Treatment - Pearl Pink

I actually had a chance to try several different Foreo products because of my work so I was lucky that I got to choose the one I liked out of all of them! (I don't get chances like that often!) And I tried the Luna 1, 2, 3, mini, fofo, and I forget the name but the eye massager thingy (ugh, I would so buy that if it wasn't so expensive!) Anyway, I liked all of them, but I felt that most of the main ones people hype about, the bristles were so much thicker and bigger than the smaller ones. But the mini was too weak, and I believe that's the one that only has 400 uses or something like that. I tried the fofo and it did such a good job that it helped my acne clear up. But the mini was too weak, and I believe that's the one that only has 400 uses or something like that. I tried the fofo and it did such a good job that it helped my acne clear up. I don't wear much makeup but I wear SPF so I double cleansed for a long time, which I realized was breaking me out because I stopped double cleansing since I wanted to use this every night, and within a month my skin got clear. And honestly the fact that the fofo had the scanning feature intrigued me to get it too because I already liked the cleanse with it so it won me over! They have definitely improved the skin scanning feature since a couple years ago. It was a sort of average number for your dryness, but now you can see the moisture meter spike when it's moisturized, and it'll drop when it's dry. It was amazing to see it spike when I went over my acne. So it makes a custom washing routine where the vibration intensity changes and you can always change it yourself from their suggestion. And my last kudos to Foreo is for when my first fofo that I had for a little over a year started getting water inside and they sent me a free replacement! So now my kiddo can use the other one, just without batteries! It's so cute that we have matching facial cleansers!

I have had this foreo pearl pink for years now and I have been using it every day/night since I got it!. It definitely made my skin more relaxed and moisturized plus it leaves a spa-like feeling whenever I use it. Love it! The foreo machine includes only one mask with a charging cable, so always need to buy a masque refill if you want to use it for a long run. You also have to download the apps so that you can scan your masks barcode to get the machine to perform the correct routine. Only downside is the size and shape of the UFO that makes it a little bit hard to navigate in some of the contours of my face, especially the area around my nose and eyes. Other than that it is a great way to have a facial treatment in the comfort of your own home. Highly recommend it!

So do I need to buy a mask of Foreo? The answer is: SHOULD. Foreo's specialized masks will give you more optimal results than expected when used with the UFO2. For masks, the advice is to not only use one type, but alternately use many types to promote the advantages and unique characteristics of each type of mask. 3. Foreo has many types of masks, so which one do you like best? The answer is: MANUKA HONEY COCONUT OIL in my opinion is the most super soft for the skin after applying. 4. Time to mask with UFO2 machine? The answer is: ONLY 1'-1'30s is enough and then you can apply a 15'-20' paper mask. 5. Do I need to wash my face after applying Foreo's mask? The answer is: NO. Unlike paper masks and the usual way of applying masks, most of the time, after applying, you have to wash your face, so the Foreo mask will not be washed again. The nutrients will continue to penetrate evenly into the skin. 😉 6. Advantages number 4 5, plus the very compact UFO2 machine, the mask is also super compact that you can comfortably carry it with you wherever you go and enjoy the feeling of wearing a mask at any time. 7. More environmentally friendly, reduce waste.

Amazing Glowing skin

I had read a lot about the Foreo UFO and was extremely curious. It was a considered purchase due to the price tag but I was lucky enough to get this at a special price on beauty day a few weeks ago. It was on advanced order and I had to wait a few weeks for delivery. I was so excited when I received it and put it on charge straight away. When I opened the package I did find a single sachet of "Make my day" so, you actually get 8x masks in total with this offer. I download the app and worked out how to use it with the mask. It was quite easy to figure out. I placed the mask on and got started. Gently moving the device around the face, it felt so therapeutic. You can use the UFO with or without the app but, i prefer it with the app. Once the program had finished I noticed there was so much liquid still in the packet so, I placed it on the pad and ran the program again. After I had finished I gentle massaged and pressed the remaining serum into my skin. Then added my regular serum and moisturiser. WOW!! My skin felt, firmer, hydrated, soft, smooth and very comfortable and looked radiant. There was no irritation to my super sensitive, menopausal skin. It just looked like I'd had an hour long facial and it only took 90 secs. My makeup glided on perfectly afterwards. What an amazing experience, I'm so happy with the results and will definitely be trying out some of the different masks. Thank you Foreo for an amazing device at a great price.

Annoyingly Bad

To use the UFO Mini, you must pair the device with an app and use proprietary "masks" that you order from the company. The company describes the functions of the device using terms that are misleadingly complicated: (1) "Thermotherapy" means that the device warms up during use, (2) "T-sonic pulsations" means that the device vibrates (more like a buzz), & (3) "LED light therapy" means that a LED light on the device changes colors in association with the guided instructions from the app.A buzzy little facial tool should not require an app to use - that is the first annoying aspect of this device. But the little proprietary facial pads make the UFO Mini most annoying. To use this device you remove an individually wrapped little cloth-y disk from its foil wrapping and attach it by way of a clasping ring onto the device. The cloth is flimsy and soaked in their facial solution. You select the type of facial treatment in the app and the app tells the UFO to begin its cycle and the app then guides you through the brief facial. All the device actually does is warm up slightly and buzz - it never really achieves a level of either true warmth or relaxing massage. The facial fluids that soak the disk are viscous and the thin fabric of the disk does not hold enough to fully cover the face. I also found that the flimsy disk caught on my whiskers (one day of growth) and subsequently frayed the fabric and pulled it from the holding mechanism. In short - this is an annoyingly poor mechanism for applying (proprietary) emollients and other treatments to your face (using an app).Absolute trash.

Falls short of doing what it supposedly does

In the ocean of beauty products, the UFO mini attempts to offer spa level treatment with its small device.Out of the box you get the UFO mini, a proprietary power plug, two starter mask packs, an individual starter mark, a plastic stand, and inserts. So the way the device works is by removing the plastic rim, place a wet mask on top of the base, and then place the plastic rim back over the wet mask. When you buy most rechargeable devices, they charge it before packing it for at least one initial use, and in this case, this wasn't done. So as I followed the instructions, and turned it on, it lasted roughly 15 seconds before it shut off.I let the device charge overnight and tried again. So you're supposed to press the function button once for day masks, and twice for night. The big problem in this case is that neither of the starter masks are a night mask, so I couldn't test out the night functionality. All this makes me believe that there wasn't much thought and effort in what would go into the packaging. Here's the biggest letdown. I used the UFO for two days, for a total of four masks. You would think that after the initial use, you would feel at least the smallest bit of difference, but there was no difference. I thought that the UFO would vibrate at least a little to help open up the pores a bit, but since it uses light technology, I don't know how it's supposed to help, but in the end I didn't see or feel a bit of difference.I could take the wet masks and just wipe them on my face and it probably would have been the same. All in all, it's an interesting product, looks pretty nice, but after using it, I don't see or feel any different. The fact that I'm supposed to keep buying more masks makes it a long term investment. I don't see it being worth it for its lack of effectiveness.

Great booster for skin hydration

Download and open the app, choose a treatment and the app prompts you through the steps. Treatments last 1.5 to 2 minutes, followed by a 20 to 30 second wind-down period. During the treatment, while you are gliding the UFO Mini 2 over your skin, a meditative voice guides you through each phase of the treatment. Afterwards, you have the option to repeat the treatment (good option to treat the neck) or end it. The color of LED lights, length and intensity of heat & sonic vibrations varies depending on the chosen treatment. Once you’re finished with the treatment(s), remove the ring and the used serum mask. Rinse the UFO Mini 2 and the ring under warm water (or use soap & warm water depending on the treatment that was used), then dry and store on the stand.Overall I really like this beauty tool. Having used it every evening for about 2 weeks, my skin feels more moisturized and stays moisturized longer than just using a serum or mask alone. The thermotherapy and the T-sonic pulses are my favorite part of the treatments—it feels amazing and is very relaxing. I give it 3.5 stars based on the following pros & cons:Pros:• The thermotherapy & T-sonic functions do work to boost the absorption and effects of serums compared to a serum or mask alone. My skin felt more hydrated and softer after using it every evening for 2 weeks.. Additionally, it felt like my skin stayed hydrated longer. Quick easy way to get spa-like hydrated skin everyday without the hassle of going in for a treatment. As with most at-home beauty devices, consistency and long term use yields the best results.• The UFO Mini 2 and the app is easy to use & very intuitive. Beyond using it for the treatments, the app also provides directions for using and cleaning. Under “Settings”, there is a list of available serum/masks along with benefits and ingredients and also allows you to buy the masks directly through FOREO. So far, I haven't had any major issues with the app.• There are a variety of treatment masks to choose from for the UFO Mini 2. For the circular masks that ‘clip’ over the metal circle of the UFO Mini 2, there are 8 treatment options. For those who like to use the full sheet masks that lay over your face, there are 3 options.• You can also easily use a non-FOREO mask or serum with it. With previous versions, if you wanted to use another brand’s mask or your favorite serum, you would have to save the packaging from a FOREO mask and use your phone to scan the UPC code in order to start the treatment. In this version, you can choose a FOREO’s options that is similar to your mask or serum without going through that hassle.• Beyond the listed treatments, you can also customize your own treatments. Under “Smart Control”, you can choose the color of the LED light, the intensity of the T-sonic pulsations, and whether or not to use heat.• It is small and lightweight (about 2 ⅞” diameter, 1 ¼” thick, & weighs almost 3.75 oz), making it traveler friendly. Drop a few of the TSA-friendly masks into your carryon and it will be great for reviving your skin after a flight.• It is waterproof and easy to clean.• The FOREO brand masks prices are in-line with masks from other brands.CONS:• The shape & design of the Mini 2 is great for treating the larger areas of the face. But it does not allow you to treat skin underneath the eyes (for dark circles, wrinkles, puffiness, and bags) or the section of the nasolabial folds closer to the base of the nose. For those areas, you would need to purchase the FOREO IRIS (approximately $139). I feel those areas of the face are the ones that would benefit most from the hydration boost and retention that this tool provides, so it was disappointing that FOREO required buying another device to treat them. Deducted one star for this miss.• There are 8 full-spectrum LED lights located along the perimeter of the metal circle that creates the heat & vibrations for the thermotherapy & T-sonic pulsations . This ¼-inch wide ring of LED lights is not enough to provide any significant treatment. Most LED light therapy devices that provide significant improvements have more lights per square inch and require that the skin be exposed to the lights for at least 3 minutes. While it is a nice addition and functioned, I don’t think this feature does much to improve my skin. Deducted a half star for this.I found it time consuming to find out which treatment masks that pairs with the UFO Mini’s. So the list below is for those interested. Currently the following 8 mask treatments are available for the UFO Mini’s and full-sized UFO’s:Make My DayCall it a NightCoconut OilAcai BerryH2OverdoseGlow AddictYouth JunkieManuka HoneyThe remaining 6 treatment options require the cooling (cryotherapy) function only available on the full-sized UFOs. They show up on the app as an option, but when chosen, a pop up reminds you that is doesn’t pair with the Mini 2:Green TeaIntensive Caviar FusionCannabis Seed OilShimmer FreakMatte ManiacBulgarian Rose

Mini Device, Exquisite Pampering

To start, the packaging of the actual product was challenging to open and took more time than I would have liked, but I appreciated that the device was packed securely. At first glance I assumed the device needed to be fully charged before first use but it actually doesn’t if you’re in a hurry to try it out.I downloaded the Foreo app prior to using the UFO Mini for the first time. I like the app because it allows you to control the device with your phone if you prefer doing it that way as well as pick a light color to enjoy (the different light settings are forms of Thermo-Therapy and each color provides a different skin/anti-aging benefit). Outside of that feature, and registering your device, that’s basically all the app has to offer. Outside of that feature, and registering your device, that’s basically all the app has to offer. For my first experience with the UFO Mini I used the Make My Day Hydrating Mask. The UFO Mini is easy to hold since it’s the smaller version, and I found it easy to grip during its cycle. I love how easy the device is to use. All you do is hold down the button once the mask is fitted on to the flat side and secured by the plastic ring, and the UFO Mini will start doing the work for you.I used it for about a minute and it was a very relaxing experience compared to doing a regular sheet mask. It’s essentially like doing a spa treatment in the comfort of your home. There is extra serum in the mask pack, and you can apply that to the neck to avoid wasting it. The UFO Mini helps the mask treatment to penetrate the skin deeper than just the surface. After using the device, my skin felt very hydrated. The heat given off by the UFO Mini opens the pores and preps the skin for your remaining skincare products (I use serum followed by a cream). I am hopeful that consistent use of this device will help my blackheads come to the surface and decongest my pores. It does state that the device is waterproof, and after I was finished using it I rinsed it with warm soap and water like the instructions state, and patted it dry it with a towel. I am a little concerned with water damage happening over time; however, the UFO Mini comes with a 2 year warranty through Foreo which gives me peace of mind. I would actually consider traveling with the UFO Mini because of how compact it is.

The included instructions were not great, and tt would be helpful if written directions including more set up, and how frequently product should be used.At first, the app is not super intuitive additionally is hard to follow the app while doing the treatment.I’m sure this is all learning curve related, and eventually it will become easier.I would like the length of treatment be selectable from the start instead of having to select “repeat” just let the time (for example 3 minutes) be selected at the start of the treatment.RECOMMENDATIONOverall, it is a nice additional to a good skin care treatment. I assume the app will get better over time, but honestly is not horrible, just not automatically intuitive. I would recommend the FOREO UFO MINI.

The app starts it out explaining each step so you know what to do and what to expect.Start by moving the device around your face and neck in a circular motion to spread the mask essence evenly. It slowly starts to warm and emits a red LED light to calm inflammation. Next up, it switches to the green LED light with the science of its anti-aging benefits. The pulsing begins shortly thereafter pushing the serum from the sheet mask deep into the skin for maximum hydration benefits. She did note, that by the end of the cycle, the serum had absorbed into her skin and her skin felt extremely moisturized. She struggles with dryness and usually applies her high end moisturizer, morning and night after cleansing. She was able to use her moisturizer less, which is helpful, as the packages of the sheet masks are a bit pricey if you were to use them one to two times a day as recommended. She did feel a noticeable improvement in the texture of her skin almost overnight. It felt more smooth and supple. As far as the two breakouts, she can’t say for sure if aided in the healing process, but she did feel that the treatment helped dry out the breakouts more quickly than her regular facial cleansing routine.Due to the flat, circular design, she did feel that the UFO was hard to maneuver around her under eye area and nose. However, the device is soft and fits nicely into the palm of your hand. With everything having to be charged daily these days, adding another device was less than appealing, but she found the battery life to be impressive.
