As a gift for someone not confident with technology this is BRILLIANT! We gave this to our nan so the grandkids could send her photos for her to enjoy. Her sight is failing but the large screen has adjustable brightness and is crisp. We were able to set it up with everything from the slideshow speeds to an automatic power down/up time so she doesn’t even need to touch it and new photos will be automatically slotted into her slide show when they are sent to her frame. A wonderful product!

Good concept, but after very limited use by my parents as a gift for them (mainly only put on when guests were visiting) it died about 6 months outside of warranty. First it was switching on and off, now just completely black. Customer service offered a discount on a new one (but not a replacement), but considering how quickly it died outside of warranty, don't have confidence in the hardware, when google options now exist for cheaper.

Decent picture and settings that can be changed (background, slideshow speed, portrait/landscape adjust automatically). Frame feels a bit cheap but looks fine from afar. App is fairly user friendly but photos will only send when the frame is switched on (difficult to know from afar). Doesn’t appear to switch off when no motion detected/switch on when motion detected. Can’t set it up with photos without opening the box.

When researching this I had thought that as it could take micro SD cards that the memory was indeed expandable, however it is not. You can only import photos from the micro SD card onto the built in memory. Firstly the available built in memory is less than described and is about 5.8 GB ( I assume the Frameo software takes up space). This is a bit misleading. Instead of having all family photos available for my mum I had to make a selection in order to be within the limits of the available memory. When attempting to import 2000 photos from the micro SD card, it took several attempts after it kept craahing during the import. The tablet & software is easy to use. The app is easy to download from google play. The app incorporates your gallery and has a take picture/video option so it is easy to transfer photos from gallery or take new ones. If you got a good internet connection transfer of photos is fast and you can do 10 at a time. The main criticism I would have, and it is significant I think, is that when you plug the power chord into the device it simply turns on. This is odd! It shouldn't turn on without having to press an on button. This also means that when you turn it off it can and often will automatically turn back on where you move the frame and it is still plugged in.
I cannot emphasise enough the ease of the initial set up and further use of this digital photo frame . As a gift to my 90+ year old parents it has certainly delivered in spades . All family members can now send photos to the frame when they are absent or holidaying and my parents can be involved in that enjoyment. The text box at the bottom of the photos is great to inform about the photo and the size is great for deteriorating eyesight . I love the product so much that I will never again print out photos. And once those photos are no longer novel , it is easy to delete and add more via to easy to use app. About time someone designed something easy and almost fool proof for aging people to use !!
We purchased this digital photo frame for my parents with dementia. It is easy to use. The best thing is you can upload photos from afar using the free frameo app. The photos appear on a slideshow. It provides wonderful memories for parents with dementia.
Since they limit upload to just 10 pictures and the storage is severly limited I have returned ours. We purchased and are delighted with the Lenovo Smart Displays. They don't have any restrictions, can be linked to your free Google Photos Picture list, and auto upload or not based on the picture content! We are installing several in our new home on the walls and we installed a few at grandparents houses. They love the fact that they don't have to do anything. Example; Davey played his baseball game last saturday. Before we left the field the pictures of just his game uploaded to just the grandparents frames! Bought this as a gift to myself - I was aiming to do hard copy photo books until I saw the idea of the Frameo - I researched all the brands available locally and though I wanted a 16gb rather than 8gb I decided the overall look of the frame, software and amount of photos that be stored in storage to be a massive benefit. The only issue is uploading a max of 10 photos at a time - obviously once set up this isn’t an issue. Great buy and great value
I bought this as a gift for my mother who is in her 70s and she’s able to use it easily. Generally it’s good but the colour of photos is pretty terrible, especially considering the price. They appear completely washed out and very desaturated, especially indoor photos. I wouldn’t buy this again.
