Frangelico is a hazelnut liqueur and it's really nice if you like that toasty hazelnut flavor. I DO like that flavor, and it's a favorite to use in baking. I use this in making chocolate hazelnut treats every holiday season. I've drunk it very little, but it is nice in coffee. I need to actually explore more cocktails and mixed drinks that use it!

A friend would always order Frangelico when we would go out. It is a hazelnut liquor. If you love Nutella you have to try this neat or mixed with Baileys. Also good in chocolate based treats. It is one of those liquors you either love or hate. I am in the love category. PS my cat again wouldn't move in the pic. Sorry.

Ok, start off with a slice of lemon. Dip that slice in sugar. Set aside. Grab a shot glass and fill halfway with your favorite vodka and Frangelico on top of that. Grab your lemon and stick it in your mouth...then take the shot. You've just had the coolest chocolate cake shot you're ever going to have, and you can thank Frangelico for it! This hazelnut flavored liqueur adds a great flavor to alot of cocktails and is pretty versatile. The last thing I used it in was a Pecan Pie Manhattan. There are pics somewhere on my profile haha...Buy a bottle and enjoy!

This is in my top three favorite liqueurs. It is sinfully sweet with a delightful flavor of hazelnut. I like it neat or on the rocks for an after dinner drink, like a dessert beverage. Also this is the flavor component of the Birthday Cake shot.(Also top 3 fave for shots.)If you like hazelnut coffees or lattes then you owe it to your taste buds to try this liqueur. Unfortunately, it is one of the lesser used bar mixers so often an establishment may not carry it. On a side note; I worked in a bar years ago and the dishwasher stole this bottle from the bar and replaced it with a bottle of Aunt Jemima pancake syrup. He just transferred the little string belt on Franjelico to Aunt Jemima and no one was the wiser.

Absolutely must

I learned about Frangelica over the past year. A must have in bars ( including my home bar) it's necessary for Snickers martinis. Absolutely add it now as a necessary staple.

Frangelico is amazing!

Have not tasted it in years. My loss! It is incredibly delicate, yet full of taste! I do not like the taste of alcohol and generally mixed alcohol with something; however, the Frangelico was so delicious, I was able to enjoy it straight! No ice! No additives! Just straight up! I have never been able to drink anything ever straight with the exception of Frangelica. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I highly recommend it. It is not too sweet - just perfect!Enjoy!

Frangelico not the same as it used to be
1 January 2015

We just opened a bottle purchased yesterday and were very disappointed to see that it lacked the flavor intensity and the "kick" that was present in the bottle we had bought about 2 years or so ago. Explanation is that the new bottle is only 40 proof! (20% ABV). Old bottle was 48 proof (24% ABV). Also noticed label completely redesigned and a new importer in San Francisco. Used to be sole importer was Grant Co. in New York City. Price higher by about $3-5 and now with a "watery" taste. So sad what is happening in our country...pay more for less! This was one of my favorite holiday cordials. What a shame!

Really good service. My son got the frangelico on his birthday. I was delighted as I wasnt sure if I had done it properly. I am not very good at these things. Anyhow all good. Thank you.

Lovely and tradition

I grew up with this used in baking and some older folks would drink it. Now I use it in my cookie icing. It makes it so much better. I don’t loose the warmth, sweetness, and taste in the baking process and yet have in my cookies just the same. I personally feel a little goes a good way. In my case it is a wonderful tradition.

Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur 700ml

Frangelico is a traditional hazelnut liqueur - enjoyed neat, over ice, with coffee or in a wide variety of stylish cocktails. Produced in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, its origins date back more than 300 years to the presence of early Christian monks living in the hills of the area. Their skills in fine food and drink would have included the wild hazelnuts and other local ingredients to create a liqueur on which Frangelico is based today. Its name is also part of the same local legend - an abbreviation of Fra. Angelico, a hermit monk believed to have inhabited the magnificent Piedmont hills during the 17th century. The Frangelico bottle is an immediate reminder of this distinctive history. Shaped like a monk's habit, with a traditional rope belt around its waist, it is a guarantee of authenticity and quality that links the past right throught to the present day. Taste Frangelico and the whole story falls into place. Wonderful toasted wild hazelnuts, found only in the Italian North, combined with cocoa, vanilla berries and a host of other natural flavours that make up its complex recipe. Ageing in oak casks adds character and maturity to the final golden liqueur.
