To chisel and modernize the whole, she added a note of synthetic blackcurrant and styrallyl acetate: a real filter of brightness and shine for the flowers. She also simplified and purified the original chypre and leathery facets. Finally, she introduced a note of patchouli, one of the most complex and evocative ingredients in the perfumers' palette.
