Great Filter, But ...

Really like the concept of a quick change filter. I wasn't looking for a ND filter to allow 1 minute plus exposures, only giving me a few seconds in brighter lighting conditions, so
minus 4 stops sounds about right. These Freewell filters are very nicely made. Even the packaging is quality. My big disappointment was that the filter did not come with the
UV filter/magnetic attachment ring a described in the What's in the box description. Don't know if that B&H's fault or Freewell's, but that's a minus one star.

Magnets not strong enough.

Technically, the filter works just fine, however, neither the lens cap nor the filter will stay on after the slightest bump. On a tripod all works well, but during a walkaround my
filter/lens cap fell off frequently. Good idea, great filter, but just not quite ready for prime time.

These magnetic attach filters are great.

After you've used the magnetic versions the regular screw on routine seems badly antiquated. It would be nice if the magnetic scheme became more standardized so we're
not at the mercy of particular manufacturers discontinuing their product lines and messing up our collections in the future. That hasn't happened to me yet, but just wait....

Very convenient

I've standardized on this 82mm size with magnetic step ups on smaller lenses. It's great having one set of filters and that's it, no matter which lenses you're bringing along for the day. Being magnetic and quick means you're more likely to use them instead of just lazily skipping filters because the threaded ones are so tedious.... Show more

Very high quality with magnetic lens cap.

A very high quality magnetic mount polarizer with a magnetic lens cap. A great setup that I am now preferring over using the Sony clip on lens cap. This polarizer only removes unwanted glare and doesn't add any other unwanted image changes. Best used outdoors on sunny or partly cloudy days to remove glare and also add definition to clouds and also slightly darken the sky to add a bit more color and richness to blue skies. Highly recommend.... Show more

Works great

The filter works very well and due to the magnetic ring can be installed very easily. The ring even has a thread so you can use existing screw-on filter without having to remove the magnetic ring. I particularly like the magnetic lens cap. The magnets so far have been strong enough to hold everything in place.... Show more
