I swear by A&H powder I've used it for many many years and tried pretty much every similar product on the market without switching. I decided to try this stuff And I was pleasantly surprised, it's close to perfect. This eliminates almost all odor which is why we want to use it, I clean my XL box every other day and I can tell you this does a fantastic job of odor control. Now the powder I've used for years, that not only helps with odor but also helps keep the moisture down and helps keep the bottom of the box cleaner. If these two could merge it would be a perfect product but I'm going to try them together and see what happens. I'm overall pretty impressed, I only wish it was a bigger bottle, I go thru this much faster then the powder.

I bought this to help with any odors that occur between cleanings. I usually use a bit of baking soda over my litter after sifting to keep it fresh. But my female cat really hates baking soda and gets in and buries it. It’s a large litter box with a clear cover, no corners. I use FreshStep Clean Paws in a box that two cats share, I scoop every other day, and cheap baking soda sprinkled on top. So I replaced the baking soda with a bit of FreshStep Deodorizing Crystals, three days of no sifting and wonderful no smells and they love it. Headed to clean it now, but the experiment worked. The only downsize is the cost, it’s a bit high, but it’s a GREAT product.

The top is so wide you can’t grip it and there is a vacuum from the measuring cup inside the cap making it further impossible to open. I needed a bench vice, a saw, and channel locks. This is ridiculous! This product packaging design is AWFUL! Who approved this?? Please remove them from your brand, they should not be making decisions that are so simple and also so vital! Completely failed the mark to have a simple thing be so infuriating to use.

When I first bought this, I thought great. I love the smell! I have 7 cats, so I try everything for the litterboxes to not smell or smell good would be a blessing. I put it in the litter boxes. Alright!!! Love it!! But after a short time I noticed the litter is looking wet, and it hardly will go through the sifter. So, now I have to do a complete litterbox change. Stupid me put it in all the litterboxes, when I should have tested it in one and wait a few days. But No! Anyway, the point is unless you want the whole litterbox clumped together, don't use.

I have Frisco litter box wipes also, they really help keep the LG sz litrbx clean, ovr time, the plastic of the litrbx gets lil scratches etc, n dust/litr gets into tho's cracks, the wipes work amazingly getting tho's cracks cleaned. With a lg sz litrbx(1kitty, Himalayan Persian12lb FurBabie) I use a storage bin for under ur bed height perfect height for my FurBabie, perrrrfect sz(they DO NOT want to have a COVER OF ANY kind on their litrbx EVR) I clean his bx evrydy, he uses it n I'm alrdy scoping it out, I use the Frisco Litrbx wipes at least evry othr day if not, more, as I go n helps keepin up the cleaning. I highly recommend this, it'sa lighter scent then u'd think, I love that it only takes a lil bit of crystals insde litrbx trashcan n no smelly, As for using it insde the litrbx, it depends on how often u clean it to kno how much to use, I sprinkle it insde the duty litrbx trashcan n the kittylitr I use has a very lightly scented, so I cn't say how it wrks in the unscented litter litrbx. But, 1st: lightly scented, 2nd: a lil bit goes along, n 3rd: the crystals used along with Frisco litter box wipes will chng ur litrbx day's work to be easier then ever. Just keep an eye on ur FurBabie whnvr u introduce anythg new to them, make sure they're not allergic etc, be safe alwys. I have one cat and am using a large, covered litter box with a charcoal filter. Except for right after she poops, the litter box doesn't smell bad. I'm using clumping scented litter, and wanted to see if adding this to the regular cleaning routine would minimize the urine smell that's only noticeable when the lid is off for cleaning.This stuff smells really good! Basically like crystal fabric softener for the laundry. This big bottle will last a long time given that only a capful per cleaning is needed.

The top is too wide to get a decent grip and then there is a vacuum seal due to the lid being the measure. I had to use my work bench Vice to hold the bottle while I saw it open then use channel locks to get it apart. Change the packaging, it is truly awful. If you don’t believe me bring a case to a local supermarket and ask an average consumer to open it. In fact, don’t, mine I will while I make a you tube video about its impossibility. Then I’ll submit it as part of my resume when I apply for the marketing job left vacant by the poor soul who approved this without even trying to open the packaging!
