These claim to last “Up to 10X longer”. On a flat surface, you’re lucky to sand varnish off of 1 sq foot of wood. They do well for the first 30-60 seconds - after that you’re wasting your time trying to get anywhere.. You’ll go through a 50-pack in 1 hour. I’ve used 50-packs, hoping to get better service, but each time my opinion of them is confirmed. These 60 grit discs cost twice as much as the 80 grit.I recommend staying away from this product, and ANY Diablo SandNet product.

The performance of these discs is truly remarkable. The grit is just right, providing a smooth finish every time. I tackled a rough piece of wood that looked like it had been through a war, and these discs made it look like it was fresh out of the showroom. I even used one on a piece of metal. It’s so satisfying, I had to resist the urge to sand everything in sight. My wife caught me eyeing our dining table, and I had to assure her that it was safe. For now

These promised to last 10x longer than traditional sandpaper. In my experience, their life was half the life of traditional sandpaper and when the product failed it left shreds all over the job site.I have great luck with traditional Diablo paper sanding pads - I'd suggest those over this. Traditional pads have longer life, less cost, less mess.

I am sanding a wood epoxy river table and I'm struggling to see results from these. I can hit the bare epoxy with a standard paper disc and you can see an immediate impact on the epoxy, unfortunately paper disc clog up very quickly.These don't clog up from my experience and they pull dust really well when a shop vac is attached to the sander. That being said, in all my years of sanding I have never experienced something that performs this poorly. I have been sanding for hours, these pads just don't seem to remove a lot of material (and I'm using 60 grit). It's a great idea, but it clogs up even faster than a regular sanding disc, and is basically useless. There are great reviews online but for me I got done with a single traditional disc in 10 minutes more than I got done with this product in an hour. Active dust removal doesn't help, and cleaning the disc doesn't help either. I wish this would be as good as some video reviews would make you think, but it simply doesn't work. The traditional sanding discs by Diablo (which are cheaper!) are fine.
While they aren't the cheapest option...if you are shopping at bunnings...they are the only option worth buying.The other reveiws show disks which have obviously been misused. The edge wear like that only happens if you are using sander tilted at an angle to work surface and/or bearing down too hard. These pads last easily twice as long as traditional pads. They allow more dust to be extracted keeping clogging, dust, and heat to a minimum. Plus, all other disks sold at bunnings are absolutely useless.3M's cubitron mesh disks (not available at bunnings or most Australian stores) are much cheaper, and last longer. But, if you need disks today and bunnings is your only option...these diablo mesh disks are the only ones worth buying in the whole store.
When these first came out in the beige color, they were truly a force to be reckoned with - they were strong, resilient, and put regular sandpaper to shame. The last few packs I've purchased are hardly justifying the price difference over regular sandpaper: they tear/fray quickly and the grit wears out as fast or faster than regular sandpaper. They also shed little red bits of sand like there's no tomorrow, a testament to how poorly the grit is adhered to the mesh.The only thing keeping me buying them is that they still hold an advantage in not clogging, especially when paired with a good suction sander like a Festool ETS when sanding paint between coats.Diablo: fix it!

The sanding disc "stick on material/fabric Diablo chose to use, slightly bunched a little on the side (i.e: I was only sanding a MDF panel for a cabinet). The main reason I bought these pads was the fact that Diablo includes a free Application "Velcro Pad", because my Bosch ROS20VSC 5 Random Orbital Sander's black "velcro" disc (that's factory glued to the rotating pad) was worn and wasn't allowing sand discs to stick properly. All I did was hand sanded any remaining "hooks" on the worn black Bosch pad until smooth and clean, then used 3M spray adhesive on the back of the Diablo Free "velcro" disc/pad and glued it to my Bosch rotating Pad. Diablo's free "velcro" disc works great with my Bosch pad - just use spray adhesive on the back of the free Diablo "hook" pad, align it with some of the holes in the Bosch disc/pad and let it set - then you're good to go! You just saved yourself some money by NOT buying an entire rotating pad...Ta-da-a-a!:o)
This is a screen-type sanding disk that requires a “hook-and-loop” style attachment. It attached easily to the existing hook surface on my sander. It comes with an adapter pad that converts an adhesive-type sanding surface. It worked well in a quick test, quickly removing wood and not clogging. They are easily cleanable. Haven’t used enough to test their reuse longevity. They are thin and quickly showed wear at the edge of the sanding disk, which is not unexpected. They are a good by and work trying for the $20. Nice concept.
This pack of 50 sanding disks may seem a little pricey at the standard price of $19.99 but when you factor in how long each disc can last you it really is a bargain. I originally discovered these last year for $5 off after Christmas and decided to try them. They're great. I can cut them to any size and when the desk starts to settle on them the disc you just remove it, clean it (shake, vacuum, or wash it) and it's ready to go again. In my opinion, each sheet does last up to 15x longer than normal sandpaper.
