A Costly Mistake

I initially ordered a size 38DD but, although I liked it, the cup size was a bit large. I decided to change it for a 38D, assumed it would be ok and wore it next day. I was v
disappointed by how uncomfortable it was. The side support offered in the larger cup size was virtually non existent and the sides tended to bend over the top of the wires.
Unfortunately I had worn it, so a costly mistake.

Really pretty unpadded bra that gives a good shape and fits well (although I wish the sides were a bit deeper). It's comfortable too - I've not been able to say that about a bra
for a long time - and is a proper balcony (unlike many others I've tried that definitely are not!). I went up a cup size.

I’m a 30DDD in American sizing. The cups are slightly smaller than my other Freya unlined bra but this still fit me well. This bra just doesn’t go up on the sides (under the
armpit) quite as much as my other bras. But that will probably be nice for wearing sleeveless shirts. I appreciate that the straps are slightly stretchy. I haven’t noticed the
metal details on the front where the straps meet the cups digging in or causing any issues. Overall it’s pretty comfy for a bra. I haven’t felt the need to tear it off at the end of
the day. If I need another bra in the future I’ll likely consider this one. The only thing I would like to see is a way to change it to racer back for summer tank tops.

Great shape, good support
12 October 2021
I love the shape of this bra! So many bras try to spread out your breasts making you look like a linebacker. This keeps everything in front and well shaped, I'm not spilling out at the top, and has nice side support. My only complaint is I wish the straps were not as stretchy. By the end of the day I find it is sagging a bit so I will change into another bra for anything in the evening. Not a fan of the gold hardware on the straps as you can really see that around tank top straps but it's not a deal breaker. It's hard to find a 28J so when I do, and it's a good fit, I'm very happy. Going to fill up my drawer with more of these!... Show more

Hello Meow Meow
21 March 2023
Im giving this bra 3 stars, because it's beautifully designed and nice fitting. It provides great lift and support and maintains my natural shape. However the materials alittle itchy, and more stretchy then i expected. The materials alittle to stretchy for comfort. I can write a list of pros and cons, but that's the jest of it. I really wish i had left the tags on this.... Show more

Nice bra but didn't work for me
24 March 2021
I wanted to try a side support bra and ordered this one and the Chantelle (my usual go-to brand) Revele Moi. This one is very pretty. As others have stated the lace is a little itchy, however I think that would resolve itself after a wash or two. The Starlight unfortunately didn't fit my shape well and gave me a strangely over-projected look. The Revele Moi, on the other hand, gave a nice, naturally rounded shape and is very soft, which is what I was looking for. Side by side with the Starlight the choice was clear for me. Still love the look of the Starlight, I'm sure it's a great bra for many people! If if doesn't work for you though, I recommend you try the Revele Moi.... Show more

Nice pick for sure!
19 March 2024
It's really great, very pretty, beautiful colors, and fits well. Sturdy and adjustable. I got a 34 DD being pregnant, while my pre-pregnancy size would be 32 D. Fits great and really supportive. I would get this bra when my size goes back down, too :)... Show more

So comfortable you don’t know you’re wearing a bra
5 October 2024
Saw this bra on the website and ordered thinking if it wasn’t a good fit I could return it. It’s the best fitting bra I’ve had for years, it’s so comfortable, I can wear it all day and I don’t even know I have a bra on! Usually at the end of the day, like most ladies, it’s a relief to take your bra off. Not with this one, would definitely recommend.... Show more

STARLIGHT BRA
10 April 2024
I loved the look of this bra its so pretty, and decided to keep it as it seemed like a good fit, however after wearing a few times, unfortunately I don't find it quite as comfortable as another well known brand I purchased at same time. I purchased in a 38D but I am not so sure this is such a good style for ladies with a fuller bustline. Its a pity as I really do like the look of it on but on me it has a tendency to ride a little bit. Having said that the quality appears to be good.... Show more

Terribly uncomfortable by the end of the day
2 May 2020
(Purchased in UK 34 GG.) The true test of a bra is how it feels by the end of the day. First putting it on, I noticed the rough fabric but thought I could live with it because the initial fit seemed good. On both sides, the underwire falls 1" short of the top of the band. Throughout the day, the underwire shifts down, resulting in the edge of the wire digging into your underarms. I've worn this bra a few times trying to give it a good chance, but it's too painful by the end of the day.Bare Necessities only accepts unworn returns. I understand this policy, but it leaves the customer stuck with wasted money. Think twice before ordering this one.... Show more
