I'm a fan of the Frida line of products, from the postpartum support items to the Snot Sucker. I didn't even look at reviews for thermometers before buying this one, which turned out to be a mistake. It gives a very different reading each time from the same spot on the forehead, to the point that I can't trust it at all. My husband, mom, and I all tried it and read the manual, thinking maybe we were doing something wrong. After reaching my limit of frustration (when I'm pretty sure my baby had fever in the middle of the night but I couldn't get a consistent reading) I bought another similar thermometer and it seems to work great so far. I regret buying this one and would love my money back.

My daughter has Covid so when I needed this thing the most I found out what complete trash it is. It gave readings anywhere from 97° to 101° on 5 different readings all within five minutes of each other, on the exact same spot on her forehead. So not only is this thing inaccurate, it is also dangerous because you will not get accurate reading on your kids fever. Desperately wish I could get a refund because this thing was not cheap.Advice: Google reviews on this thing. It really is horrible.To Frida: please stop selling this thing, it's dangerous

I am SO disappointed in this thermometer! My 4 year old was sick and awoke "burning up" to the touch. I just knew he had a fever but this thermometer said he was 98.9 degrees. I'm glad I was skeptical and retested him with my boring, but reliable, oral thermometer. He was actually 102.5 degrees! Just 0.5 degrees away from an emergency doctor visit. When it comes to body temperature, it's critical to have the correct reading. I thought this thermometer would be great because I loved all the other Frida products I've bought but this experience will definitely make me rethink my loyalty to the brand.

My 8 month old had a febrile seizure. I had been monitoring his temperature for 2 days with this thermometer and was constantly surprised he didn't have a fever as he felt warm. Immediately after his seizure, this thermometer read his temperature as 98.0F. At the hospital he was 101.7. I feel horrible because I had no idea he had a fever, and I could have been giving him Tylenol and possibly prevented the seizure, ambulance ride, and trauma we all went through.
I love the overall design and feel of this thermometer but unfortunately it is just not accurate. My son has been sent home from day care several time with fevers only to get home and it be normal on this thermometer. I thought it was a fluke and the daycares was wrong. I took my son to the doctor yesterday (a 5 minute drive) when at home this thermometer read 99, the doctors read 101.6 and when we got home about 20 minutes after doctors reading this thermometer read 98.1 even though you could feel the heat comeinh off of him. (No medication was given.) It is disappointing to invest so much into a product for it not to work. Not to mention when the product is one that helps you make decisions about your child overall health and well-being. We have Frida baby and ... Hate it! It does not give you the accurate temperature. I knew my baby had a fever she was so hot but this thing said she was fine and I moved it around all over her forehead and in parts she had different # readings of fever, other parts she was green(good, no fever). I bought a behind one for an accurate reading also Frida brand that has the stopper so you don't go to far in hurting your precious ones. I'd recommend that one for an infant. Don't buy this you will be mad when it comes to this being the only thing you have at the moment when you know your baby has a fever

I have had this thermometer for a year and still can’t figure out how to use it. I don’t think it’s the thermometer’s fault, I just can’t find clear instructions.1) Are you supposed to touch the forehead for baby or adult readings?2) What button do you press to take a reading once it’s in the right mode? The power button sometimes takes a reading and sometimes turns it off?3) How do you turn off the sound?That’s just for starters, I might have more questions if I’d had more basic success (when I do get a temp reading it varies 2 degrees, which seems like a big difference)Honestly, I’d just love a thorough manual or instruction guide.

This is the most inaccurate thermometer I’ve ever owned. I generally like Fridababy and their products, but this is an outlier. My son can have a temperature of almost 103 and this will still read 98.3. I have never seen it register a temperature. I’m just tossing it in the garbage because it is the biggest waste of money. I recently just bought another forehead thermometer that works much better so I don’t have to subject my son to a rectal temp everytime I suspect a fever. Don’t waste you’re money on this. There’s cheaper options which are way more accurate.
