These ice maxi pads are such a simple concept, but are absolutely amazing! They are very easy to use. All you do is crack them and they instantly get cold! No, waiting around! They are quite bulky so not a ton come in the box, you’ll definitely go through a box quickly. they help relieve so much pain after giving birth. You absolutely need to have these. If you’re going through postpartum those first two days are crucial! you’ve been through a lot give your body when it needs! And relief it definitely is!

Unfortunately I didn’t know anything about this when I gave birth to my son 5months ago but my sister in law is pregnant so I had to wait till now to write this review! Guys, this one is amazing, trust me, cause I went through all this and it’s a definitely needed item. My sis in law was vaginal birth to her son so really need this to help her go through all the pains and it does absorb so well and the one in hospital work nothing like this one. If you are about to having your baby, I highly recommend you bring this to the labor with you, very convenient and priceable to get. Thanks me later moms!

With my previous pregnancies (my oldest will be 18 this year!), I remember freezing pads with water inside for relief. It was messy and time consuming, plus wait time was torture... With water added you lost absorbency These are great because they literally just crack and are ice cold and ready to go. They provide excellent coverage, I mean from the very front to the very back. They are also super ABSORBENT so I don't have to worry about leaks and stains while I recover. I only wish they stayed cold longer but these are a lifesaver and a product I'm truly grateful to have!

100% worth it - instant soothing relief! Mad i hesitated buying them!

I’m surprised how many reviews I’m seeing saying they don’t last long honestly! I was hesitant to buy these but postpartum pain from healing tears and general soreness was making me desperate and I didn’t want to attempt homemade ones. While they don’t last hours like the hospital ones seem to, these do last long enough for me to put one on and sit down for a while enjoying the instant relief they provide. They get super cold and feel SO GOOD. I didn’t time how long they stay cold for me but I had time to at least sit and watch tv for a while before realizing it wasn’t cold anymore . I’d say maybe an hour! Will update this review if I get around to timing it next time. Either way, if you are sore post partum, I highly recommend these!

Cold, cushiony, absorbent ice pads

Run, don’t walk. These ice pads were a must-have for postpartum recovery. Directions are straight forward, and it’s easy to figure out. The pad stays cold for 20 minutes or longer, and it gets ice cold. PRO TIP: lightly sprinkle some water over the pad for added cooling. The pad is absorbent, and it is thick. It feels a little bulky while walking, but the cushion that it provides while sitting is actually so nice, so the bulky pad is a plus for me. Im gifting these to friends who are pregnant and I’m absolutely getting them for myself for future postpartum recoveries.

Game Changer

I so wish these had been around for previous pregnancies, but very grateful we have them now! When I had my first baby the nurse showed me how to fill a pad with water and freeze it and I thought THAT was awesome BUT-obviously you're gonna lose absorbency- you have added water after all! The wait time- when you need relief who is trying to wait on something to freeze and set!These do absorb quite well and they are ready instantly and so very easy to use!They are nice and long so you get relief front AND back which is great after delivery.If you want to add creams/foams/sprays/whatevers, you can absolutely do that with these.They're ice cold but fairly soft which I really appreciate because I remember the homemade ones were obviously hard as rocks as they had ... MoreI so wish these had been around for previous pregnancies, but very grateful we have them now! HEAVEN SENT

I am seeing bad reviews in regards to “leakage” with these. But let me give you advice if you’re soon going into labor! Do not expect to have light bleeding postpartum. A simple pad (any pad) WILL DEFINITELY leak. As a mom of 3, please buy some kind of disposable underwear to prevent leakages at least for the first week. I used the Always discreet Incontinence and Postpartum protection disposable underwear. I ended up getting huge hematomas and hemorrhoids after a tough delivery, and this made the hematomas disappear immediately and made the hemorrhoids smaller! As I said, *HEAVEN SENT*!!!

Not worth it in the end.

I purchased these on my own prior to giving birth to my daughter a couple of days ago. At the hospital they do give you similar ice packs although in my opinion these do get cooler. Initially after birth these were a life saver because I did have a tear which was accompanied by stitches and the cooling of these the cooling pads foam was the BEST combo. Two days after birth, (still using this product) I still had severe pain and even walking and sitting down was not in my interest and i assumed it was from obviously giving birth. I would get bummed out when the ice effect stopped working because the cooling felt so good. I ended up running out of these ice packs and skipped that in my pp bathroom routine. Although due to the size and bulky ness it causes discomfort and pain to an area that is already sore. As soon as I discontinued the use of these I was able to actually sit down when I couldn’t sit down 10 minutes before because I had one on. I say use the ones the hospital gives you. And skip these. I can’t say the same about the cooling pads and the foam because I absolutely love those.

Not worth it- just get ice packs or popsicles

They make you feel like you have a water balloon in your pants-- Not very cold either-- the cold lasts maybe 10 mins, then you are left with a warm bag of water. Disappointing considering the cost. The only nice thing is that they are soft. I ended up just using the shake up ice packs- however they arent the best shape-wise. You could also use freezer pops or they make ice packs which are softer . For me I needed freezing cold relief so these frida ones were just not cold enough. Used ice packs& that did it.

Wanted to Love

I really wanted to love these, especially for the convenience. However, as soon as they were in use it was slightly cool then it was just tepid liquid. As if it had melted immediately which was pointless. I thought maybe it was one in the pack but it was all of them and I discontinued use after the 4th one. Definitely don't recommend this product. Hopefully Frida Mom can find a solution for this.
