One unit literally had the bottom fall apart when touched with only the paint holding it together?! 4) They pose a Safety Hazard to anyone below them or Handling them because there is the potential for Failure to fall due to the accelerated corrosion and rusted bottom no longer able to suppor the weight of the components such as the coil, compressor, fan, etc 5) Safety hazard created by all of this that can lead to an Electrical Fire and Water Damage to the building. I had water coming out the front of the pan back in the room when the black mold growth plugged the drainage hole and all of the biological growth occurring in the bottom of the main pan?! All of this was a SIMPLE DESIGN FLAW. They are Missing 1/2" Drainage Holes in the bottom pan where it was clearly designed to be a Sump for water to collect right behind the bottom right evaporator coil drain pan hole. This was discovered on multiple units dating back to 2008 including a Brand New Unit received this week of Oct 2020. When I called Frigidaire, their response was to vacuum it out?? Hello... they need to Add Holes. I recommend anyone reading this to Drill the missing holes yourself also in existing units. Black Mold, Biological Growth, Bugs, Safety Hazards Galore. Frigidaire and Arctic King (Rebranded Frigidaire Unit) All had this Fatal Design Flaw.

PC Richard had this available with same day delivery which was awesome. The only issue I had is that I gave specific instructions to use the service entrance of my building, and there is a sign on the front door also stating that deliveries need to go through the service door. But the PC Richard delivery guy called me from the front door and was a real jerk about refusing to go to the service door now that he was at the front door. Adequate for a small room. Does the job, but needs a good half hour to cool the down to where it's comfortable, so turn it a head of time. Note its shape is different from a larger model we have in the dining room. The new one has a kind of upside-down U shape to fit over the lip of the window sill, where the older model is more square. I found the new one a little harder to install because to the shape I had to put wood outside the window instead of inside as before. This may be due to having very old storm windows in the house. So far its working fine, but I have only had it about two months. Granted the old one is about six years old and working fine, but the older one also seems to be a more quality build. Time will tell.

This air conditioner is very efficient and works well. Using it has reduced my electric bill. I replaced 3 units with Frigidaire units. The former units weren’t energy star rated and my bill was higher. These units were easy to assemble and install. The only complaint I have is that they’re loud, so loud that if I’m talking on speaker on my landline, the person I’m speaking to has said that they have trouble hearing me. I’ve had to turn it off when on the phone in my office.
This AC is okay. Assembly is fairly easy and it’s self-explanatory on how to use it. I also don’t know why folks say it’s loud; it’s not at all. It does not, however, get super cool. It’s cool enough for a small bedroom but if you’re expecting arctic temperatures, this is not the AC for you. I also wish the front temperature display wasn’t so bright. I’m using it for my bedroom and it’s blinding. The remote indicates you can turn the light off but I haven’t been able to get it to work.

The front panel is also uneven.. the left side sticks out and it will not stay flush, plus it has a tiny black dot on the top of the filter cage that won't come off. Cosmetics aside, the unit is fairly cold and does a decent job cooling my ~280sqft room. That said, I'm very disappointed with the quality and features. My opinion of Frigidaire tanked a lot with this experience.The only saving grace is the Wi-Fi controls. That and brand name were the reasons I bought this over competitors, but I have a feeling other brands would have been just fine or better. I would be livid and have returned it right then but thankfully I have a Broadlink device that allows me to program scenes/routines so I can get to my desired setting with voice commands. The Frigidaire app DOES NOT OFFER THIS, so if you're getting this for that, get an extra device or a different unit.It also only blows straight. It has little adjustment vents on the top but they do basically nothing. The air shoots past and it maybe changes the air flow 7 degrees. Considering my placement I wanted it blowing at a bit less than a 45 degree angle - which it should: the vents are pointed right at me - but it doesn't. Poor design and engineering from a brand I previously respected.To add insult to injury, I thought I was getting a deal but the thing went 20% cheaper the next day. The Google Home integration DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO CHANGE TEMPERATURES, so you're boned there too. The final kick in the gut was when Frigidaire asked me to leave a review to enter their sweepstakes. If you click Thumbs Up in the email, you get sent here. If you click Thumbs Down, they send you to fill out a survey (no sweepstakes entry for you, nay sayer). All in all my experience here has NOT been pleasant, and if it weren't for the Broadlink device and fact I don't feel like uninstalling it I would have returned it the first week. That said, still get it if you get a deal. My thinking is it should at least last, but I guess that's TBD.Also it isn't that quiet. It isn't SUPER noisy, but it does make racket. Especially in the popping/expansion of the metal when you first turn it on (which is what I do most at the moment because it's still Spring and I just need cooling bursts). 2/5 Rating.

According to the specs, should be the right size unit for room size. Idk... I do really like that u can turn off all the display lights with 1 button press of the remote as it is in a bedroom. I do worry about overall energy costs since have to run it pretty much on high at all times in order to effectively cool the space. Dry mode doesn't seem to do much of anything, still high humidity. I have a midea u inverter unit in the living room works much better although not a fair comparison since ita an 8k unit, but the sq footage in that room is close to 350. It is a quiet unit. For the price, it is efficient and very good at cooling my small bedroom. It replaced a similar model from years prior, that still worked. So I am confident that this will last years to come. The old unit got replaced as it had a lot of molds and a musty smell, so it was on me for storing it incorrectly and figured my health is worth more than the price of this unit.Also want to mention the salesperson Steve from the Patchogue store who helped me pick out the unit. Unit used in primary bedroom measuring 384 SF. Cools room effectively on economy mode. I would recommend this 6000 BTU unit for large bedrooms. I ordered the unit online for pickup in Freeport NY. When I got to the store, I was told it was not available, so I went and checked out the available stock. Behind some 5000 BTU Frigidaire units I found the 6000 BTU unit I originally ordered and brought it up to the checkout to pay for it. Unfortunately, it was not the sales price listed online and I ended up paying more despite protesting to the store manager. This is my only complaint as other large box stores usually honor thier prices.
